"Were I to encounter such a thing at home amongst the sands we would attempt to use each bit of the beast - Meat isn't always plentiful and I am sure some of the artisans could do something interesting with such a unique pelt," Gorm would note. "But these are more your lands than mine. Fancy finding out how the beast tastes when cooked over an evening fire? Or interested in a new cloak perhaps?"
”I am more skilled in the guiding and training of animals, not field dressing wild game—much less a beast of this size. If you have skill in that area, I say we spend a bit of time here to recover from the battle and make use of the creature’s meat and fur,” suggests Logan.
”What do you think, Doctor A?” he asks.

"Ahbut I prefer my meat on a plate dressed with a nice red wine jus not still wrapped in its own skin and with the claws still attached!" Dr A responds to Logan. He then turns to Gorm saying "let me see what I can do about that nasty slash" as casts Cure Wounds10 of healing.
“Thank you, doctor” Gorm says with a smile when healed. “Was but a scratch but better gone than not.” “Now, this beast,”Gorm says as she looks over it and prepares to do what she can regarding harvesting it’s pelt and meat. “I’ll happily do the cooking and put it on a plate for you. This creature is strange to me though. I make no promises about taste no matter how it’s cooked…”
Gorm will do what she can. She is likely much more accustomed to smaller beasts from her desert lands but her tribe does live in the shadow of the frozen tundra so likely have experienced larger creatures.
Stil, and aided by Logan, Gorm does, in fact, an excellent job skinning the beast and cutting as much meat as it can be used. They lack the resources to salt all of it, but they smoke as much as they can and they put the fur of the beast on a improvised dryer stand made with some sticks at one side of the chart.
Gorm cooks the meat roasting it an seasoning it with a few spices left from her home. The dinner ends to be a great evening with the four travelers sharing histories and songs.
The night passes and the next day, after just three more hours of travel they finally see the Dales beneath them. Daggerfold is vale surrounded by high hills and small mountains, and from their vantage point they can see several villages and cottages scattered along the landscape. The Vale is almost fifteen miles wide and over two hundred long, and they have entered almost by the southern and western corner of it.
Logan's home is still almost five days to the northwest, but their objective is just one day to the east, almost at the end of the vale, or so say their erudite companion.
They descend following the path and when the sun is starting its descend towards the west, they are walking among the woods and find an inn at the edge of the road. The inn is formed by a two history building, constructed as a T with the smaller part being the entrance. There are two other buildings, one seems to be a barn and the other one stables. A wooden, unpainted fence closes all three buildings and near the center of the compound there is a stone well. Smoke raises from the central chimney and of some smaller ones. Above the main door, which is partially elevated from the ground and can be reached by a pair of trhee steps stairs, there is a sing which says "The Possum and the Cat". Leaning over the wall and at the left of the door there is a man, with a belly bigger than his shirt, leather pants and almost bald, smoking from a pipe. He looks at them, acknowledging their presence but says nothing, he just keep smoking quietly.
Handing over some coins, Logan says, “Talgred, please get our horse and wagon settled. I’ll go in and order us some food and drink, if this inn meets with your approval.”

"We should see if there are any who wish some of the meat," Gorm idly says to the others as they approach the inn. "We won't be able to eat it all before it turns and it would be a shame to waste it. Perhaps there are some here without enough to eat..." Gorm pauses and looks at the large bellied man and rethinks her sentiment.
"Well waste can be better than too much waist I suppose."
"I expect whomever tends bar will be able to put you in contact with the buyer for the tavern, Gorm. If you can barter for our stay and even get some coin out of it, that would be great," responds Logan encouragingly as he heads to the bar himself to order food.
Once he has food, he leaves the meat negotiation to Gorm and finds a table big enough for all of them. Sitting down, he relaxes for a bit and waits.

( Oh! my last post wasn't posted at all! sorry guys!)
In the interior of the inn there is a small room to let wet cloaks before opening another door and properly enter into the common room. It is a great room with a set of stairs to their right that leads to the upper histories were presumably are the rooms.
Of all the tables only two are currently occupied. One lonely figure, slender and tall are at a table near the fire. They had an eagle perched on a chair near to them and it seems that they are enjoying a cup of wine. They have the hood over their head, so neither of you can make their features. Logan notices that the figure has no apparent weapons with them.
The other table, not too far from the fire, is occupied by a group of traveling dwarves. Some of them glance to the newcomers but otherwise ignore them.
The innkeeper, a man on his thirties, wearing green and brown clothes under an apron, with long hair braided in small braids all the way down to half his back.
"Wellmet travelers! My name is Phineas. Please sit whenever you want. Tonight we have some salad and stew, goat cheese and bread if you want. Can I offer you mead? or wine perhaps?"
"We'll have that," Gorm assures. "Four helpings... We have more coming." ((Is 4 of us, right?))
Gorm will then nod over towards a table a bit away from the solo traveler and the dwarves but close enough that they could keep an eye on them. Mostly the solo traveler, one need always be wary of such, but she can't imagine a knot of dwarves being any trouble.
"Of course of course" says Phineas and waves towards the free tables.
Both the lone traveler and the dwarves keep to their business. It seems that, while the dwarves talk among themselves in their tongue, the traveler speaks with their eagle in elvish.
Not much later, Phineas comes back with a tray full of beverages and makes a couple of travels to bring the food.
"Are you going to need logging for tonight?" he asks as Talgred joins them once and takes some cheese and beer.

Logan:
”Better make that five meals and, yes, lodging for five as well,” says Logan. “We have a wagon and horses to be stabled as well”, he adds, then asks, “Any interesting news hereabouts lately?” before he moves to sit at the table. He nods amiably to the group of dwarves and the lone elf respectively, feeling at home in an inn given that he spent so much time at the Old Skull.
Persuasion: 18
Instinctively Logan listens passively to the mood and muted hubbub of the common room, not exactly eavesdropping, but alert for any unease or interesting topics (Logan does speak Elvish).

"Oh... And for the stew," Gorm says and hands over the rest of the Owlbear meat. "A kill we made along the road on our way here. Won't be good much longer us carrying it, may as well put it to some use."
Once seated and with a drink Gorm will sneak the occasional glance at the loner and the eagle but neither group is speaking a language she is familiar with.
Phineas opens his eyes wide when Gorm speaks of the meat, which has been left in the cart.
"Oh I could certainly use that of course. I tell you what. I take that off your hands in exchange for tonight's dinner, drinks and lodging. That sounds fair to you? " he asks Gorm.
"Not much lately, in fact the most notable new is... the lack of news, there has been less travelers lately. I guess that once the weather improves they will come back again... " he shrugs answering to Logan's question.
Logan, Dr. A. and Chiara overhear some words from the elven figure talking to the eagle. It seems that they are having a conversation but the eagle seems to be communicating somehow they cannot see or understand. They are able to catch some phrases though.
"We should be able to find it soon... what? No I do not.... what did you wanted me to do? ignore their plead?... yes, yes I guess you're right... it shouldn't be hard to find the silver once we locate the place... no... I still do not know how are we going to transport it... what? are you crazy? ask for help to those dwarves? "
((Oops, thought somewhere it got Said Gorm was bringing it in but yes, makes more sense...))
Gorm arranges with Phineas for the meat to be turned over, either fetching it herself or advising Phineas where they were having their horses tended to. Surely he would know the area well enough to figure that out. "More than fair," Gorm agrees.
"Perhaps it was the beast we killed? It was quite fierce," Gorm offers during the talk of the lack of travellers. "There was also a knot of harpies we encountered that were quite troublesome. The road is not as safe as it should be..."
”A reasonable assumption, Gorm. All the more fitting that its meat feed those it might have attacked along the road,” replies Logan. “Thank you,” he adds as Gorm makes the deal for their food and comfort tonight.
Going to sit, Logan occasionally hears snippets of conversation from the elf and eagle nearby. He looks at the others curiously, asking quietly, “Dare we risk a delay in our journey to help someone in need?” as he surreptitiously tips his head in the pair’s direction.
