A brief few moments of awkwardness follow as Ayrlin tries to put the ring back in the knockers mouth and it tries its best to stop him. The knocker on the right says, "Doesn't want his ring back in his mouth eh?" its gives a loud sniff, "Well can't blame him." and laughs.
Eventually with some trickery and force Ayrlin gets the ring back into place and the rather sullen door swings outwards on creaky hinges.
Before the party a large black portal looms, the light from the rough court does not seem to penetrate past the frame.
Collectively holding your breaths you step through...
The light you are carrying with you seems to struggle to push back the darkness of the vast cavern you find yourselves in. The floor is rough though mostly level and covered in loose stones and dirt. The air is moist and smells, fetid, and sour. You hear a rumbling roar far off, perhaps a huge waterfall. The sound echoes off all of the surfaces of the cavern, making it impossible to determine its source.
As you begin to explore the area you determine that a large still body of water fills the center of the cavern the shore of which are about forty feet from the portal you just exited. High up on east you see a ledge lit with a dim purple glow and what looks like an exit. The ledge is about twenty feet above the cavern floor. To the North west you see another ledge lit again by a dim purple glow about forty feet above the cavern floor. both ledges are around two hundred feet from where you stand on the shore of the large underground pool/lake.
It is so dark and the cavern so large you cannot really see much else, but you get the feeling that this place is huge.
Out of the darkness a low rumbling voice that seems to fill the cavern and your minds says...

"Oh my... that is Huge!" Grigor will try to get cover somewhere with his movement, but he realize that the rope is coneccting him with the others. "Well i think we should fight without this thing" and tries to free himself from the rope.
Do i need to make a check?
If he still can attack after that he will use Fire Bolt one of the Tentacle.
OOC: you can get out of the rope and make an attack action this round if you cut the rope holding you. If you want to get out of the rope without damaging it then you need to spend your action getting out of the rope.
Grigor's bolt of fire streaks up and slams into one of the tentacles. It sizzles and makes a puff of steam as it hits and leaves a blackened hole in it.
Xorin's eyes go wide a moment at the sight and when Grigor spontaneously cuts himself free that pretty much throws the whole rope concept out the window so he'll also cut himself out (Grigor was right behind him afterall I believe).

OOC: Marching order for traps, ambushes etc. I would like to continue with sided initiative for now. i.e. I'll get all of you to roll and compare your highest roll with the enemy to decide who goes first. Within your own side action order will be order of posting. As long as you all wait for everyone to take an action we should be good. Role playing and other non essential combat posts welcomed of course :)
So far this is the system that seems to keep the flow going best.
Feel free to post your action when convenient your side is up!
