I'm interested in running this module/adventure. If you are interested please share a brief description of your character, attributes will be generated by rolling 4d6 dropping the lowest (It's OK to roll two sets and keep any of those two)
It is also very important for you to have access to the material in order to have your character created here in dndbeyond to invite you to a campaign here in dndbeyond (Maybe we'll run encounters directly from the tool. That would be cool.)
Keep in mind that for this adventure your character can be tied to the Witchlight Carnival which visited the material plane eight years ago.
It can be linked directly as an employee from the carnival, or a kid who visited the place almost a decade ago.
Feylost - Background
Feylost
You grew up in the Feywild after disappearing from your home plane as a child. Perhaps you were spirited away by kindly Fey who thought you were destined for great things. Perhaps you stumbled through a fey crossing by chance during a twilight stroll in the woods. Perhaps you were kidnapped by evil Fey but escaped from their clutches. Whatever the manner of your disappearance, you gradually fell under the Feywild’s spell and learned a little about the nature of the mercurial tricksters that dwell there.
When you finally returned to your home plane, you did not come back unchanged. You are haunted by the fact that the Feywild—a mirror world hidden behind a mere twist of perception—is only a hair’s breadth away. Although your memories of the Feywild grow fainter with each passing day, your heart swells with a mixture of fear and joy at the prospect of one day venturing back to the Plane of Faerie—your home away from home.
You were transformed in some small way by your stay in the Feywild and gained a fey mark, determined by rolling on the Fey Mark table.

Feywild Visitor
Whenever you’re sound asleep or in a deep trance during a long rest, a spirit of the Feywild might pay you a visit, if the DM wishes it. Determine the spirit’s form by rolling on the Feywild Visitor table. No harm ever comes to you as a result of such visits, which can last for minutes or hours, and you remember each visit when you wake up. Conversations that occur with a visitor can contain any number of things, from messages and insights to nonsense and red herrings, at the DM’s discretion. Such conversations are always conducted in a language you can understand, even if the Feywild visitor can’t speak that language normally.
Feywild Visitor
d8
Visitor
1
Awakened creature (a Beast or an ordinary plant that has had the awaken spell cast on it)
Your mannerisms and knowledge of fey customs are recognized by natives of the Feywild, who see you as one of their own. Because of this, friendly Fey creatures are inclined to come to your aid if you are lost or need help in the Feywild.
Witchlight Hand - Background
Witchlight Hand
You crept into the Witchlight Carnival as a child or youth and never looked back, earning a place among those who work behind the scenes to keep the carnival in business. As a hand, you work hard and party hard. The carnival has borne you to many fantastic worlds, circling back around to your home world once every eight years, but you know almost nothing about these worlds because you spend all your time in the carnival. You know the other hands well, but the carnival’s owners—Mister Witch and Mister Light—remain mysterious to you even after all these years.
Maybe you joined the carnival to escape a dismal life at home, or maybe you were enchanted by the idea of visiting new places or the dream of becoming one of the carnival’s star attractions. Now that you’re older, carnival life has lost some of its appeal. The daily routine has grown tedious, the cyclical nature of the carnival’s journey monotonous. The carnival no longer fills your heart with a sense of wonder. Perhaps greater adventures await you beyond the carnival’s gates.
Tool Proficiencies: Disguise kit or one type of musical instrument
Languages: One of your choice
Equipment: A disguise kit or a musical instrument of your choice, a deck of cards, a carnival uniform or costume, one trinket (determined by rolling on the Feywild Trinkets table), and a pouch containing 8 gp
Carnival Companion
Over the years, you have earned the friendship of another carnival fixture. Roll a d8 and consult the Carnival Companion table to determine whom or what you’ve befriended, or you can choose an option that you like. Work with your DM to flesh out this friendship. This companion hangs around you while you’re in the carnival, but it won’t voluntarily leave the carnival.
The DM can use the Witchlight hand stat block in chapter 1 to represent hands, performers, and animal trainers who serve as carnival companions. Statistics for the other companions appear in the Monster Manual.
Carnival Companion

Hi there, this campaign was on my to-do list for a while ! I'd love to join.
Meet: Hazel Vylmalis Class: Wild Magic Sorcerer History: Hazel was a small girl. She couldn't sleep, she was finally going to the Witchlight Carnival with her family for her birthday. The place was mesmerising, so many the shows and beautiful artists, and the food was so tasty. The was a day she will remember all her life, but not for those reasons. On the afternoon, at a magic show, something went wrong. One wizard that was playing with a pink rabbit created an arcane explosion. Hazel survived the accident but the next weeks she found that some strange things were happening around her. The Accident seemed to have left more than a scar on her body. 8 years later, Hazel have now learn to tap into the magic that run in her blood but she wants to know what exactly happened to her that day. Maybe going back will give her the answers.

Name Yoli Garrick
Race Forest Gnome
Backstory: Fleeing from a powerful noble house (House Leffery) whom he tried to deceive into lending him money by pretending to be nobility, he's laying low, and is short on funds. He is travelling in hope that nobody will recognize him here. Yoli has an alternate false identity as a young noble, named "Corryn Rofferton", that is in line to receive a hefty inheritance that he has a full disguise for, as well as forged documents as "proof".
Name: Billiam O'Briar the Brave Race: Harengon Class: Fighter Background: Witchlight Hand Backstory: Billiam O'Briar was not always brave. He was one of forty-six children and was neither the strongest nor the brightest. However, with that many children, it is understandable that one might go missing from time to time. It was the last night of the Carnival and poor Billiam was left snoozing beneath some bleachers in the main pavilion. His heartbreak quickly gave way to excitement as he realized he was free to live among the dancing lights and laughing folk forever. A few years later and the young harengon grew up to be a performer in a dangerous show, "The Blade Slingers". He enjoys his life at the Witchlight, but he has never gotten a glimpse of Mister Witch or Mister Light. His curiosity and self-control balance on the edge of a knife. It won't take much for the fighter to skip a show in favor of a bit of investigating.
Any chance I could just use the point buy system or standard array instead of those rolls? They are pretty sad to look at.
We'll see, so far pretty much everyone is within the same range. If the party's average score is 75-78 I might allow everyone to add 2 or 3 points as long as no attribute exceeds 18.
got lost by following after the carnival and ended up outside the fey wild. He hid in a barn until he was discovered by the owner, a goblin tinker. The goblin taught him to work with his mind and tools to create gadgets of amazing potential
Backstory: Nuotrin was a minotaur who has lost his parents and lived in the streets. He survived by stealing from other people and creatures. 8 years ago, he came upon a carnival called the Witchlight Carnival and met a kind elf there who helped him(giving him clothing and food). He was moved by the elf's kindness, and he vowed that he would help defend the defenseless people. Nuotrin also tried to search for the elf who helped him, but he failed. He decides to go to the Witchlight Carnival to search for him.
Hello could I join? Please I have a character, Although im quite new to D&D I played it once when I was 15 and it seemed really fun, unfortunately I never saw the person I played it with after that, so it's kinda been a unfilled dream of mine.

Sweet. I'll happily play those stats if I have to.
She's just a general character I want to use but this would be her backstory in the context of this adventure;
Elle was moping around miserable because she just had to spend her last few gold on rent, then her ears perked up because she heard singing from around a corner.
She followed the sound and saw that the Witchlight had come to town!
Peppermint Hexblood Hexblade Warlock Witchlight Hand Chose set 2 Ability scores: 15 15 13 7 14 14
Story: Mintha Cranbock does not exist. She did. She was a happy human girl in a small village in the mountains who listened to her parents and took care of her little sister and played with her friends at the edge of the big forest. Then, one day, she met a nice old lady who invited her to tea. That was the day Peppermint was born. It hurt. She won't talk about that time in her life, but at some point the old woman (a hag name Agista Candyhook) visited the Feywild, and while she had some business with the carnival, young Mintha fled between the tents. She doesn't know if the hag couldn't find her, if she bargained her away, or if she's dead, but Peppermint hasn't seen her since. She took to hanging around, and eventually attached herself to an old half-ogre bouncer named Rood. He took a shining to her, and has kept her, showing her the ropes, the edges, and the attitude needed to survive in the Witchlight Carnival. Peppermint lives in Rood's trailer, and works, as it were, as his bouncer sidekick.
Appearance: Peppermint is a slight, human-appearing girl, with pale skin and long black hair. A garland of living black roses runs behind her head from just above her ears. She is quite pretty, in a beguiling kind of way, but there's a glint of d/anger in her eyes. She typically wears an old, battered vest of scale mail, painted black, and carries a buckler shield. At her side is a longsword in a scratched leather scabbard, and she has knives about her body. She wears black leather gloves. A disturbing clown mask dangles from her belt, she wears it when she's working. When she's not in armor, she lives in dark colored clothing, favoring breeches over skirts, and formal shirts over tunics.
Roleplaying Notes: Peppermint comes off as angry and severe. She demands respect, and her co-workers have learned that her name is Peppermint, not Pepper, Minty, Pep, Sweetie, Honey, Candy, or anything else. She is an intensely loyal friend, but a hard shell to crack. The most embarrassing thing about her is that she gets uncommonly weepy at sad music. Even happy music makes her eyes dewy. Friends will always rib her about that, and she will dash the tears from her eyes and straight up threaten them with a smile on her face.
