"Mistress Luna?" says Emile, causing Luna to wake from her slumbers. "Your breakfast is ready and, if you hurry with your morning toilet and dressing, you will have time to make your appointment with Artisan Anargon..."
Then, as if to push his point, Emile places her breakfast tray on the bed and adds, "Shall I get the carriage ready? It is already past the third candle call of the morning."
Luna groans. It only seems like moments since she was woken, as usual, by the Dawn Rush. How did three candles just disappear so easily? She just wanted only an extra few moments of sleep.
[OOC: Artisan Anargon is the person Luna has given her plans of a weapon that fires metal projectiles to. Today is the day he said he would have it ready.
I have added some background information for Luna to her article on the World Anvil site. To find out more clickhere.
This document will develop as you explore more of the setting and meet people. At the moment, it is only accessible to you and only when you are logged into the site.
Also, please don't hesitate to ask questions about the setting, my home brew rules, and anything else you don't understand. More than happy to explain and it may help me develop the World Anvil site more.
Finally, this campaign might be quite different to other PBP campaigns you have run in... For example, it is illegal to walk through the streets of Constantine with major weapons, unless you are given licence by the local authorities to do so.]
Luna grumbles as she stirs from her slumbers “okay, I’m getting up… are you sure it’s been three candles since dawn rush?” She asks as she sits up and then starts to eat the food
”yes please get the carriage ready, I have an item to pick up today and it is one I’ve been most excited about” she slowly eats while rubbing the sleep from her eyes
"Yes, Mistress," says Emile slowly before adding crisply. "At once."
[OOC: Please make an Insight check for Luna (The DC for a success in this case is 10). If you haven't already used this forum for PBP, the die-rolling mechanism is one of the tools in the menu at the top of the text entry box; it looks like a d6 with the number '3' showing.
This is a short move because I would like to make sure that you understand all the necessary mechanics of this forum and my experience system before we go any further. If I haven't already told you, player characters can gain immediate experience through the use of skill check during the course of play, like the one I have asked you to do above. To read about this system, see here.]

[OOC: Hi Luna. I have added some plans for the Brianna residence. The current appearance is just to give you ideas, but I would suggest that Luna's bedroom is one of the ones on the second floor on the right-hand side. You will need to think about which rooms Luna would have turned into workshops for her various tool kits... The thing she probably wouldn't have at this time is the proper forge require to create the parts of her gun. This would be why she has contacted the artisan she has an appointment with.
You can find the link to the house on Luna's page here. You will need to sign in to World Anvil to see these pages.]

As Camille finishes her breakfast she muses on Emile's lack of interest in her intellectual pursuits. He thinks she should be more involved in her study of magical lore more so than her love of artifice.
She then dresses quickly and begins the daily task of using her disguise kit and makeup to make herself look like the beautiful woman the world expects her to be.
[OOC: Make a roll for her Disguise Kit (at Advantage). This will probably be a regular thing, and the DC is very low, but I won't tell you what it is so as to leave that little bit of uncertainty for you.]
It is as Luna is finishing her makeup that Emile knocks on her door and announces that her carriage is awaiting her.

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
19 *She looks over as Emile knocks on the door and gets up and goes over and opens the door with a smile* "thankyou Emile i am ready to go right away, sorry it took me a while, i wasnt happy with my makeup"
[OOC: Ohhh i like the uncertainity factor of it all, that will make it all quite fun and enjoyable]
*She looks over everything with a nod* "okay everything is good"
[OOC: That's strange. I'm seeing an '8' but when I mouseover the number I see a '15'. Did you roll at Advantage?]
Emile, who is also made-up in human guise and wearing his going out to market outfit, looks Luna over and then nods approvingly. He then begins to lead the way downstairs towards the front door. As he does so, he reminds Luna of her itinerary for the day.
[OOC: Note that the following is in the Sorendenese language, whereas previously, when they were alone, they were probably speaking in the tongue of the Snake people.]
"We have the legal clerks from the bank of Sorenden coming after lunch with the details of your husband's estate. Zelda will take care of the paperwork, of course, but I am afraid they insist that you be present... a matter of propriety, I believe. They will also need you to make your mark on some of the documents, most likely."
He then adds, "And do not forget that you have a dinner engagement with your father this evening. You are expected the first candle after sunset."
The two have now reached the front door of the house where the doorman, Daryl, is holding the door open for Luna while the housemaid, Aleesha, waits at his side for any orders Luna might have for the day.
[OOC: Any orders for the servants or questions for Emile?]
[OOC: Yeah i rolled with advantage, i have no idea what is going on there, im seeing the same thing myself]
*Luna groans as she is reminded of the daily business needed* "Ohh yes they will probably bore me before asking for my mark" *she smiles when reminded about the dinner* "Ohh yes thankyou, i am rather looking forward to dinner with my father"
*as they approach the front door she nods towards Daryl and then looks at Aleesha* "Ahhh Alessha good timing, Can you make sure that the main room is freshly presented and that there is refreshments ready by lunch when my guests arrive, also is there anything important about the household i should be made aware of?"
[OOC: Regarding the strangeness with the dice roll, I would try either putting rolls on a line by themselves or not putting any text after them on a line.]
"No Mistress," says Aleesha with a little bob of the head. "And all will be ready for your visitors this afternoon." Then she adds, "And yourself? What will you be wanting for lunch?"
After answering Aleesha, Emile directs Luna along the path to the gate in the high wall that surrounds the house. Waiting outside is the family carriage along with the new groundsman, Eddard, who helps Luna alight into the carriage while Emile climbs up into the driver seat.
As the carriage moves away from the house, Luna gets the opportunity to look out over the waters of the main estuary of the river towards the king's palace, sitting on its own private island in the middle of the river. Through marriage she has managed to gain a residence on the prestigious Palace Row (albeit the cheaper end). Dare she dream of one day living in that palace?
[OOC: To see the general area of where Luna's house is situated within the city, take a look at this rough map showing the basic areas of Constantine. Basically, the house is situated somewhere at the bottom of the Residential Area above Palace Island.
Before we move on. I would like you to work out what Luna is carrying on her person for the meeting with the artisan. There is no need for your character to be carrying everything she owns in this campaign. In fact, if she is carrying large items, such as her quarterstaff or her spell book, these will be noted by the NPCs she meets and may effect how she is treated.
I have customised Luna's Backpack on her D&D Beyond character sheet so that it is now called 'Luna's House'. Put everything that would be in the house in that container and everything that she would be carrying with her at the moment in either her equipment list or component pouch (special material components should definitely go in here). Within reason, you can also add whatever you like to her inventory so as to round out the character. Another thing I would like to know is how much coin she has on her person and what, if anything, she has stored securely in her house. You could record what she has secured at home in the Other Possessions tab of the character sheet, if you like and remember Engelian prices are 1/10th PHB prices and there are four common coins: the Engle, the Constantine, the Lion and the Cub in descending order of value.
Finally, if you have any questions about the setting that you can't find on World Anvil, let me know either here in a post or through Discord and I will give you the answer and add it to the World Anvil site.]

But the carriage stays still and eventually Emile speaks to Luna through a small trap door in the roof of the carriage.
"Sorry Mistress Luna, but there is something blocking the way and traffic backed up behind us. I am afraid you will be late for your appointment."
To prove Emile correct, Glory hears a nearby candle caller crying the fourth candle of the day.
[OOC: What does Luna do? Luna knows where she is going and it can't be far from where the carriage is now.]
