Okay you are greeted by a human named Saerth Abizyn who's white skin is so pale as to be almost translucent, and their blonde hair is worn in a fashionable, immaculately manicured pompadour. Despite their showboating though they are relatively inexperienced when compared to other instructors. Saerth says "I will be teaching you how to use a Spelljammer helmet, you will be attempting to control miniature ships. Do any of you have questions or statements that don't require to be related,"
"Okay then, here are your spelljamming helms," they say before handing you a blue helmet, he then says "Issuing commands through a spelljamming helm a strange sensation: more akin to thinking about moving a limb than operating controls." After you attempt a few times to use it Saerth walks up to you and asks "Tell me honestly—who among your friends and fellow cadets do you most respect?"
“Well, of the few that I’ve properly met I would have to say Kalowanten. In the short time that we’ve known each other I have come to know him as a friend.”
"Okay then," they say before going over to Kalowanten to ask him a question before they come back to you and asks "What life event in your past drove you to live in this moment, right now?”
“I just needed new seas. I’ve sailed my entire life, port to port. I’ve seen every inch water that Faerûn has to offer. Being free like that… there’s nothing like it. But, I ran out of new places to see. One day, while we were docked I over heard a rumor of this place. People played it off as silly stories, but I couldn’t rest until I knew. I traced the rumors and whispers until finally I found a ship that would take me here. The one place where I could find new seas.”
"That's a beautiful story," Saerth says, while you are talking and thinking about that you notice the ship starts to rise from the ground a little. Saerth then says "Something inside your mind holds you back. What is it? Speak, or it may just poison your ability to fly.”
“ I want to be good, and gentle, and kind. Unfortunately, my path has lead me down some unsavory roads. Because if this I’ve had to do bad things just to survive. I feel as though it has creeped inside me and sometimes I do things without thinking. Things that could be avoided.”
"Hm," Saerth says, the ship starts to lift a little more as they ask "Where did you come from? I sense a great destiny inside you, yearning for release.”
“I’m not exactly sure. One of my earliest memories was when I was in the nest, fresh out of my shell. I looked out across the setting pink sky to see my parents soaring high above. I laid down to sleep and awoke to a crash and all I could see was… this sounds strange, but it almost looked like what you would expect pure energy to look like. I just continued falling closer and closer to this bright white light. Until finally I fell into the light. Next thing I knew I was falling through the sails and rigging of a pirate ship in the middle of a terrible storm. After the crash I awoke in the hull of the ship. Shortly after they enlisted me in their ranks and the rest is history.”
Get a point of inspiration as the ship starts to fly and you think you can control it, Saerth goes to ask Kalowanten something but you hear Kalowanten say "I'm not gonna answer that," with a large hint of anger in his tone before the ship starts to fly.
Saerth dismisses you both after seeing Kalowantens ship fly. "Okay so next we have to complete the obstacle course at the gym, so let's go then," Kalowanten says and then starts walking to the gymnasium.
Once at the gymnasium two guys shove you onto the obstacle course with no explanation, make a constitution saving throw to dash across a straight path filled with explosions.
Alright, you buy the stuff and Kalowanten buys two vials of acid and then the next place to go is the Spelljammer Nexus.
So do you go there?
Yes, let’s head to the nexus.

I stay silent and let the lesson continue.

I think, “That’s a little odd.” and make a mental note of what I just saw. I wait for further instructions or to be dismissed.
Saerth dismisses you both after seeing Kalowantens ship fly. "Okay so next we have to complete the obstacle course at the gym, so let's go then," Kalowanten says and then starts walking to the gymnasium.
I follow him to the gymnasium.

Con saving-12
You succeed, up next you will need to make either an athletics or acrobatics check to jump across levitating platforms.
