“I have a suspicion. Maybe those cultists were trying to sacrifice all Fulgur followers to leave him weak, and those masks? They were worshiping demons that wreaked havoc upon our land, that Fulgur himself came down just to defeat them. They are trying to weaken Fulgur so that the dreaded demons can take over! We cannot let that happen.”
Vex can heal Sloden before it explodes but Vex,Sloden and you can all make a save. Or for rule of cool Gilded can take 10 damage and protect Vex and Sloden if you prefer ^^
(OOC: Gilded already took the 10, and I did mention I had my shield up, So I like the rule of Cool)
Gilded looks at Drez. "No one can hold you responsible for what happened to you as a child. What you do with your life once you can make your own choices is what matters." He hears Sloden offer to help. "I would also offer you my sword, to help you kill this demon, or to help you avoid it."
Gilded turns to the entire group with his hands raised above his head (sword in one hand, shield in the other) after hearing all of the talk about demons, and Fulger, etc.
"Any here that are under the influence of these demons may call upon Iroas to help them. He is a great god and will aid you in getting rid of the monsters that torment you. Join me in repentance and accept what penitence is required. You too may know the power that he beholds.
Gwen offers Drezmir a nervous smile after her little "lie." Gwen looks to Drezmir as he talks but before she could reassure him Kocino had stepped up to do exactly that. Her nervous smile slowly shifted to a more sincere stance.
"Kocino is right, we all chose to put ourselves in harms way after all. And though that magic with the giant was.. Strange it was impressive too."
Gwen hears Sloden offer his aid. She smiles but ponders for a moment. She knows if they do help Glazing Wind she'd have to stay behind and help rebuild. It'd be hard to let Drezmir go alone but.. Well he wasn't alone was he? He had made good friends. Gwen looked over to Vex for a moment as he spoke.
"I've gathered that much.. What I don't understand is why stand against Fulgur. The Divine Beast protect the kingdoms from the horrors of the outlands so.. Why try to overthrow one? I just.. Don't get it."
Gwen looks to Gilded he was slightly hurt from protecting Vex and Sloden from the blast.
"Vex.. You ran to heal Sloden and Gilded.. You protected them. You both risked a lot for each other but you moved quickly and efficiently together. I must say you would make fine knights with that attitude."
Gwen looks at Gilded blinking a moment or laughing.
"You're persuasive I'll give you that. I may attend the church at Radiance city. Though I think I owe the god of light.. Dawn too much to switch my faith. But I'll attend a few sermons just for you Gilded.. When I have the free time one day."
OOC:
If the group wants to try another short rest go ahead and hit the short rest button.
No encounters this time but it does mean the party was here an hour half all together.
Idk if Sloden would have had enough time xD He was knocked out from the fight and Vex had to run and heal him. xD
Vex turns to the rest of the group: “I don’t know about you guys but I’ll head to rest, then go to the manor ven the rest of you are ready. And ve need to figure out who vill take the rest of this stuff.” Vex then starts walking towards the exit of the cave, wanting a good rest.
Jess will go with the group, whatever people decide.
She internalizes Gilded’s impressive speech. She may be somewhat influenced, too, because he had healed her, saved her. Mostly she felt a intrigued and perhaps even jealous that he felt so confident in a god. Could I put so much faith on a deity? I’ve always worshiped Mother Nature herself…
Drez smiles. It is an odd feeling, having people willing to trust and help him.
"Thank you, all of you," he looks to each of his comrades in turn before turning back to Gwen, "I do not understand why anyone would choose to worship a demon instead of the Divine beast. It makes little sense to me, especially after Fulgur already defeated it once. Why choose a being that is so obviously inferior over the one who has been faithful in protecting the kingdom for ages?"He shakes his head, "I do not understand it either."
He looks to Gilded, "Thank you, friend. I cannot avoid this demon. It is my destiny to face it one day. However, there is time before then, that is why I am here instead of back in my village. If you wish to aid me against this kitsune...well, I feel that once it breaks free, Romalia can use all the help it can get. Though I fear this may be a fight I must face alone, with Fulgur as my aid." He pauses, growing distant for a moment before shaking his head and saying, "But enough of that, it is a task for the future."
When Gilded gives his speach, and Gwen responds, Drez laughs, "I cannot deny that your god seems strong. He is lucky to have a paladin such as you in his service. I myself am tied to Fulgur, though I must say that I believe each of these gods deserves respect. None of them are greater than the others, for each of them are the guardians of their own kingdoms. Each of them watch over their chosen people. To say that one is greater than the other is to say that one kingdom is greater than the other. I do not believe that." He smiles, drawing and raising his sword along with the Dragonborn, saluting Iroas, Fulgur, and whatever other gods are watching.
Once that is done he says, "Now though, we must finish what we've started here."
He takes a rest with the others.
(Then I'm assuming we are going back to the tavern? Are we going to have time to go to the manor?)
Corvus listens to all of this with interest. As far as he is concerned, he was still not about to put his life on the line for any of these people. Sure, they’d done some quests together, but that doesn’t make them family. Why were the others so willing to fight Drezmir’s battles? Would the be willing to fight his? No, he doesn’t need their help. However, they can help him become stronger, keep him alive until he has enough power to fulfill his purpose. So he will do his best to keep them alive, as long as it doesn’t require him to make the ultimate sacrifice.
When Gilded starts preaching, Corvus rolls his eyes, behind the Dragonborn’s back. The divine have no love for him. If they did, he wouldn’t be where he is now. He will not cater to them.
When the group decides to take a break, he makes his way back to his previous spot in the cave, settles down and takes a rest.
Drez smiles. It is an odd feeling, having people willing to trust and help him.

Jess remembers how the cultists looked and acted in the moments before their death, when their own master took their lives as a last lashing out against its enemies. The scene plays over and over in her mind. Their upraised arms and eyes. The praises on their lips.
“Fanaticism,” she says suddenly. “You asked why they would serve this being. It’s fanaticism. He must have promised them many things, power, wealth, wrongs righted. And we see how easily he turns on them, consumes them, once it suits his purpose. One thing we know already from this: these people cannot be reasoned with. We must meet them with strategem and force, not diplomacy or reconciliation.”
Having reasoned that out in her head, Jess feels a calm. She is in the right place, doing the right thing. Such events are against the natural order, which must be protected. Whether this is the problem that prompted her to leave her home, she cannot say, but it could be, and that will be good enough for her to stay with this group and fight their fights.
As they take their rest, Drezmir says hesitantly, "Also...It gladdens me to know that none of you think less of me for how many times my aim has gone awry." He laughs, then realizes that the lightning has left the crossbow...was that good or bad? Pushing that thought away he continues, "I must say, I should have considered all of your feelings when I used...when I used that dead giant. Most of the people from my village are used to it, so even if it makes them uncomfortable when I use an enemies corps to defend our home, they don't say anything about it. Just know that I would never do anything like that with the body of a friend. And when I use such magic on the body of an enemy...I only do so when I feel like it would turn the tides of a fight. It is a costly art, so I use it sparingly. Forgive me if it upsets any of you...but it is the power I was given. Dark as it may seem, I only use it to protect those around me."

Drez nods to Jess, "Yes, that would make sense. Why else would they be so willing to throw their lives away? Unless this demon has promised them power..." He rubs his arms unconsciously, thoughts suddenly racing through his head...was it possible that...no, the Kitsune is sealed away in the shrine. It has no physical form right now... Still, the thought was unnerving.
"That blasted fox..." His mood darkens and he seems lost in thought for a while.
Vex stops and looks at the stuff they still haven’t took, and just waits until they take the rest of the stuff and walk towards the tavern. While he sits there, he polishes and sharpens his glaive, as he always did after battle.
Gilded looks at Drez when he says his last part. "Like I said earlier, no one can fault you for what is forced upon you as a child. Well, I guess forced upon you anytime, but mostly when your a child. The power you have now is abominable to my lawful ways, but as a disciple of Iroas, the god of victory, I understand using anything given to you to defeat your enemies. Choosing those tools would be wrong, using them once you have them is not only ok, it is honorable if used to defeat your enemies."
Gilded looks at the others as he continues. "I have chosen Iroas because he is the only god to survive the celestial war other than the 5 that have provinces. He goes with me everywhere and since he is the god of victory, he is impressed with wining, you prove your worth to him, and he proves his worth to you. No blind fanaticism or ridiculous rules. You win, he wins, so it is a work together scenario."
(OOC: I am trying to recruit.. and If I get one.. I better get some inspiration.. lol)
He sits back, checking the rivets on his new splint mail, rubbing the leather and checking the lashings as they all discuss life.
Corvus listen's to Drezmir speak, he is slightly amused by his words, but he says nothing about it. He feels the same towards what Gilded says. God of Victory, no rules, sure. There is always some kind of trick. No divine will hand out it's power for free.

This was missed as well as a post from Jess saying that she took the dagger I think.
