OOC: Haha, that’s fair! First time playing human, should be interesting.
“Oh, they might be dirty. Here, let me help.” Solomon traces a rune in the air and casts Prestidigitation to clean Evelyn’s goggles. “My night goggles get the same way.”

Well guessing from your skin perplexion and seeing as how your last name is Stormwind, I'd have to guess you're an air genasi...
"Hmm. Nope. Fire." Evelyn says, giving the other a sly smile.
"Would it surprise you to know that my last name isn't due to my heritage but actually from one of the men who raised me, who ironically turns out to be an earth Genasi? And one of dwarven descent no less!" She muffles a laugh behind her hand.
Crispy stares at the Genasi with a mixture of curiosity, yet wariness. This one was interesting. She had never, in her travels, met one before. She would keep an eye on this one. The rest she could handle easily. Maybe even speak with it?
"Thank you for cleaning them, I had not realized I had gotten so much muck on them. That's what I get for romping around during that heavy storm a few days ago. Maybe no more trying to catch newts with my bare hands." Evelyn pulls off the set of goggles, that honestly look less like goggles and more like a strange mask shaped into a visage of a hawk or some other bird of prey. She scans the human up and down. " Nope definitely not a giant." She mumbles under her breath, before sliding the goggles back down.
" Yes much better. Again apologies. It has been quite some time that I've been in the company of others in which I can embarrass myself in front of."
The map table is a clutter of research books on the forest and inhabitant including those on history, geography, academic expeditions, and folklore. The regional map itself is scribbled with various notes showing locations of raids and notes on lizardfolk numbers, tactics, and potential triangulation of a home base. All attacks seem centered around an area a few miles in diameter, but it's a better start than trying to comb half the entire jungle.
If you would like to speak to Bründir, Talvus, examine more of the maps/info, explore the camp, or whatever else, just let me know. Once I have a general consensus of being done, I'll continue with the departure on the next morning.

Crispy rolls her eyes, partially thinking back, and partially at the joke. She could appreciate the joke, Hell knows, she was full of them, too. But she didn't know this new team well, and only time would tell how things would work out. So she remained quiet. Many groups and adventures always started out rocky, but sometimes bonds were formed, and most "friends" she had, if any, either died or were never heard from again. She was used to that. She was used to being alone, to fend for herself.
Because of her past, she wasn't quick to make new friends, or indulge with others in silly banter, especially now. She had no interest in breaking the ice. She knew she shouldn't be this way, especially now that she was older - why couldn't she just be brighter and friendly? Probably because, for the most part, everything always turned out bad in her life, and either violence or luck saw her through it. Her attitude didn't help, nor the countless criminal scum she extorted, pushed around, bullied, killed, and bribed to be having to always watch her back.
Or..the people she betrayed back at the academy.
She remembers a time, years ago, with another group of adventurers, that it started a little rough, but after a bit she loosened up. When you have a very rough childhood, an even rougher career, you don't always turn out to be the most positive person. But she was a very finely tuned precision weapon, and yearned to do the job, and crack some heads of more scum and get this job over with.

You gather a general understanding of the lizardfolk from the collected works. They are a species which, though civilized, is largely alien to many outsiders. They live by extreme natural-selection, the weakest usually being degraded to fodder or food. Lizardfolk live within a monarchical society, but many rulers may exist within a community as clan leaders under a central ruler. The people as a whole lean toward shamanistic practices and accomplished priests often become intrinsically tied to their habits in similar ways to druidseing that they promote strength to leadership, lizardfolk will typically swear allegiance to others who show a potential for great beneficial ties.
(For more information, reference the Monater Manual and Volo's Guide. For the next week, you have advantage on Nature and History checks in regards to the Lizardfolk. You are the only one who can gain this benefit as it is considered a shared party knowledge now (i.e. putting your heads together). Creativity pays great dividends ;) )

Evelyn is going to spend her time studying the map for any important markers/routes she may need to be aware of when traversing the forest. As well as asking if there is anything else they might need to be prepared to face in the forest besides the lizardfolk.
A few journals from researchers to the areas speak of various locales, malignant and benign alike. It seems that a very small handful chased clues from past expeditions for the lizardfolk, but the journals either end abruptly or explain how sites were found which hinted at being colonized, but did not seem suitable for the reputed size of the lizardfolk population. Regardless, you are able to cross-reference the map and plot a course which takes a day to traverse once you are in the forest. The route also includes a site that one explorer wrote as being a naturally protected spring with clean water for his expedition to rest and resupply.
(I had originally wrote for this to take a day and a half at least to reach the objective, so good job. Your travel has been cut from 36 hours to 24)

OOC: With a +9 and advantage, Solomon knows everything! Also, did I gather some rope?
Yes, the army has a quartermaster that can provide basic travelling equipment (bags, food, rope, candles, etc.).
Just in case there was a grey area (afterthought on my part, sorry), specificity will vary since little is known about the lizardfolk in general. Want to know how many colonies have been discovered through history or differentiate if a ruin is a Lizardman King's castle vs. an outhouse? No problem. Want to know their king's name? No info.
