Name: Ramia (22) Class: Sorcerer (Divine Soul) Background: Haunted One Backstory: Running. Running. Running. For as far back as she can remember, that has been Ramia's life. First with her family, then just her brother, and now alone. She was born with a spark inside of her, something that was sensed and coveted by evil from beyond the mortal realms. She has traveled far and wide across Faerûn, never staying in one place for more than a few years. For the last five years she's been completely on her own after losing her older brother.
In recent months the attacks have picked up in intensity, the ambushes more frequent. Whatever chases her has become agitated, energized. Where she used to be able to settle for at least a time, a few years if she were lucky, now she was permanently on the road.

1. Son of an oath of Conquest Paladin
2. Was trained to follow in his father's footsteps
3. The noble his father was serving, Xavier Valzo, forced his father as well as his compatriots to commit atrocities to keep him in power.
4. His father, refusing to kill for Xavier, broke his Oath of Conquest, and quit from his service
5. Horrified by the ordeal, Aldrick took up the art of diplomacy, and other ways to end a fight without bloodshed.
6. When he was 18, he left his home to serve others as a diplomat and bodyguard, although he always preferred to use his words and only bring out his sword when absolutely necessary
Backstory Details: Enid didn't ask to be the child of an orc raider, but it's what she got. Born to a human family, her parents and siblings were loving and treated her as though she were no different, she quickly grew in size and mass and while this was greatly appreciated in a family of barrel makers, it soon became apparent that the family hand-me-downs would no longer fit, nor could new fabric be easily afforded. Luckily, her feats of strength were soon brought to the attention of the local militia detachment and the captain made an agreement with the family to employ her, thus easing Enid's concern for the financial well-being of her family. Enid found herself to be a natural in combat, and her swift footwork soon matched her physical prowess, but one flaw kept rearing it's ugly head, she was far to kind and often let criminals off with no more than a finger wag or a night in a cell. Enid believes most criminals don't choose their lifestyle, and everyone is worthy of redemption if only given the opportunity.
Name: Alkyn de Vries Age: 24 Class: Rogue (intending to be Trickster) Background: Charlatan Backstory Details:
Originally indentured as apprentice to the wizard Melanath, Alkyn found himself unable to resist the charm and intelligence of wizard's daughter, Elirion. While he and Elirion happily made plans for a life together, Melanath would have none of it. Alkyn found himself framed for the theft of several valuable items from the wizard's collection, and soon on the run. Elirion...moved on.
So it was that Alkyn found himself thrown in with those who actually practiced those things of which he had been accused. Always a quick learner, and fast on his feet, he realized that he had inadvertantly discovered his true calling. When not working for his guild he spent much of his spare time victimizing both Melanath and his clients until he finally drew the full attention of the wizard (whose clientelle had been diminishing) and was forced to leave town hurriedly.
Mechanically I see this as setting up an enemy (Melanath), an 'known' person (Elirion) of uncertain allegiance, and ties to the thieves guild as well as a justification for Arcane Trickster later.
His departure from town was facilitated by his answering a call to investigate investigate rumours of strange goings-on in the town of Greenest by some of the few contacts he had retained from his days as an apprentice (Harpers?).
Backstory Details: Sariel Phyll is a young elven man who had a father who was a bard and a mother who was a priestess of Lathander. Their love knew no bounds. His father taught Sariel how to play the viol which he picked up quickly. At times when his father was out on an adventure or even at the local tavern. Sariel spent his time with his mother tending the sick and feeding the poor. He was a curious and mischievous lad at times, getting into trouble with the other kids in the neighborhood. This is usually when his father wasn't home. When his father was around, he would play music with him. Often times outside of their home. Locals and some travelers passing through would tip Sariel and his father for their viol duet. It became a usual routine especially if his father stayed for a long period of time. It wasn't too long til his father was called into another adventure leaving on an airship. He was 13 when his father left and did not return. At 15, Sariel decided to follow his mother's footsteps and became man of the divine. He became a cleric of Milil. Not a typical deity to follow for a cleric but he believed that his father's music, including his own, were clearly a gift from him. His mother was very proud of what his son was becoming. He would play music for children. He would donate some of his tips for playing music to charity or give some to the poor. He is now spreading his work around Faerun, helping those in need of healing by divine favor or by playing his viol to spread goodwill and cheer.
Oh, definitely interested, I've been trying to get into a steady HotDQ campaign for a while now. :) I'll roll stats below so I can edit this one safely if needed.
Backstory Details: A wild elf Ranger from the Snakewood, part of the remnants of the elven realm of Arundath, the Quiet Forest, and herald of the Three Trees Treaty, a pact between three forces in that forest for common protection.
Oldest daughter of the matron of a small elven clan in the Snakewood. Aryiniel offered herself as the first servant of Ringreemeralxoth ("Ring"), a young green dragon who laired in the same forest, when the clan was forced, by dire circumstances and external threats, to sign the Three Trees Treaty, a pact for territorial protection between the elves of Arundath, the Eldathyn Druids of Duskwood Dell, and the green dragon himself. Coming to live in the green dragon’s lair, Aryniel soon became unwillingly involved in the dragon's machinations and the inner struggles of the Cult of the Dragon. Although not fully participant in their activities, Ring attempted to manipulate the local cult cell, led by a wight named Nadlok (an acolyte of Velsharoon and adherent to the "old guard" of the cult, opposing the new influx of worshippers of Tiamat to an extent), into fulfilling his agenda instead of surrendering to their calls of turning him into a dracolich.
Ringreemeralxoth, as a typical young dragon who wants to expand his territory, and his expansion eventually drew the ire another dragon that laired nearby (a great white wyrm named Icehauptannarthanyx who laired in the Cloud Peaks (Mount Speartop)), and got his steward Aryniel involved into the conflict. The initial fight ended almost in death for the younger dragon, but following attempts for revenge or discipline eventually spilled over and involved each of the dragon's allies, which included the elves of Arundath and the druids of Duskwood Dell. One particularly brutal ambush ended up with many dead on the elves' side, including many of Aryniel's hunting companions. Ashamed for her inability to save those who she loved dearly, Aryinel demanded to Ring that the terms of the Treaty also apply to the protection of the elves in the forest, and that the dragon's very presence endangered that at the moment. Eventually, with much effort and a degree of threat, she convinced the dragon to leave Snakewood at least for a while until the conflicts cool down.

Pimgi Flatfoot - Wizard 1 (going for divination) - 37 years old
Background : Acolyte
Backstory: Pimgi is a friendly and joyful halfling in his first years at the magic academy of Neverwinter. Since his young age, he was always interested in fate and luck and it seemed natural for him to join the rank of Tymora - The Lady of Luck. But after a year as an acolyte, he wanted to be more in control of his destiny. There must be more than just a flip of a coin, one must be able to control his future. He then decided to find out how luck and divination work and join the Magic Academy of Neverwinter. In his studies, he found that the luck can actually be controlled and that the future can be somewhat predicted. One long lost book of the Dragonborn Archimage [name] called “Fate and Foresight -The Laws of Probabilities” seemed to hold the keys of such a power.
Pimgi was unsure of what to do until , one night, a beautiful female voice talked to him in one of his Dreams, suggesting him to leaves the city and go South to find this book. “This must be an omen” he thought. And so he left…

Trawn Blulyte was the youngest of 5 boys and the runt of his family at 7ft tall. A Goliath with Blue Draconic bloodlines. The right side of his head had blue scales and a golden dragon eye. He had a dragon scaled mouth and neck that fades to a grey skin at the shoulders. His family line was full of Warriors and Clerics. Trawn didn't want to become either. He always dreamed of becoming a powerful sorcerer but knew this meant leaving his lands in search of this knowledge and power.
The rest of you hang tight! Your characters are still in consideration! Just going to let this sit for a little bit longer today and maybe tomorrow. We'll see.

Presdi Ethanasath - Pallid Elf - Bloodhunter - Sage - 130 years old
Presdi is a scholarly sort, ready to put his money where his mouth is for success. That's how he ended up taking the potion he and his partner made at the Society of Alchemical Research. This was a highly experimental procedure meant to change a person at a fundamental level, using some questionably sourced Mimic flesh. The good news: it's a success, and has made Presdi unquestionably stronger, faster, smarter, and even altered his personality in positive ways.
The bad news: his partner is quite angry with Presdi for stealing their research, and even more angry because it worked. His partner and he were ugly, weak, nerds together. Now it's just partner, and he's ready to bring his not insignificant resources to bear in making Presdi's life miserable. Thus why Presdi has found urgent need to take his talents where they are more desired: Greenest, to be exact.
