Excuse my lack of creativity for the moment. Im going to "put you in there together" right away. But you still have valid reasons for how you met each other
All four of you have met eachother on one of the many paths connecting Di'rios and the surrounding gnomish settlements Gattergard, Hobmore, Parastead, Erbalack and more. Because you all have a smilar destination you decided to travel together. Then, in the worst case you wont be alone in a dangerous situation, and in the best case you have someone to talk to. And maybe you just that, because as of now you have not recognized any danger ;)
It is currently mid afternoon, the next, Parastead, settlement is about two hours away (and probably your destination unless you want to sleep under the night sky)
Chantell has already met Niesella, so he looks at Telurion. "What's your story?" he asks, jumping of his horse to walk next to him. He's surprised that you're all letting him stay relatively near you, he's not normally accepted like this.
"If we push it a bit further, we should be able to reach Parastead before nightfall" - Telurion commented with his traveling companions, his eyes focused on the road ahead.
He was a large man, easily over 6' tall, and strongly built - in spite of the full backpack, different weapons and large shield, the load did not seem to affect him much and he moved with ease. The disheveled black hair and beard, the deep-set black eyes and the heavy pacing lent him a look of grim determination. Almost as if he was always mad at something...

"Not that much to tell" - Telurion replied with a deep, strong voice - "I grew on the streets until someone was kind enough to take me in, teach me to fight, and how to be slightly more than a drifter, doing whatever was needed to survive" - he added, fiddling momentarily with the small sword symbol dangling from a simple cord around his neck - "What about yourself?"

"I had a ruff start to too." Answered Chantell, whilst feeding Artemis some hay that he pulled out of a bag strapped to his hip. "We didn't have that much food, and being a hobgoblin I've been mistrusted all my life, to the point where even though I was the best horse rider around I was pushed away from my dreams of being the best in the world even by people who could see I had potential. So I went off to help as many people follow their dreams as possible, and I'm not ashamed to say that I went behind the authorities backs to do it sometimes." He rolls his shoulders, and gives Artemis a stroke on the back. "Where you from?"

Hey! Kinda all or nothing on the forums lately, please excuse me for being late to most parties.
"Originally I am from Pirn" - Telurion explained - "But more recently I am a traveler. Cannot say I belong to any one place" - he added.
"Surely you agree it is not very common to see hobgoblins mingling with humans - usually they are preying on one other in some way" - the man pondered - "Which is no excuse for being ill-treated once you have proven your good intentions"
"No life deserves to be mistreated..." Niesella chimed in directly, even as she continued to scan the road ways ahead, alert for danger. Here tone and words did not directly say it, but they were definitely inferring that she herself had been mistreated, a fact that Telurion would know all too well. "...your kindness to a stranger shows your heart Chantell and I have a nagging feeling you'll both be able to show off your martial prowess before this journey is complete" it was there, a pit in her stomach, a gnawing nervousness and anxiety that something was going to happen. Yes she was out of her element, she had to take that into consideration as well. She would have loved to have day dreamt, continued to toil mentally over the conversion of elements, and how she might improve her spellcasting.

"You're both right, no one should mistreat others without a fair reason. But I also can't judge people for having a fear of the unknown. Either way, I've learnt to live with it, and it's not changing any time soon, so let's forget about it." Suggests Chantell. "Anyway, I'm starting to get hungry"says chantell, changing the subject,"We can wait until we get to Parastead to eat, or one of us can go hunting. I'm happy too if no one else wants to."

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Niesella nodded in agreement with letting the subject change. "I would hunt, but I left my crossbow behind." Niesella cursed herself mentally, she had thought that traveling lighter would be better overall, but now she saw the value of the crossbow versus just flinging bolts of fire into the woods at unsuspecting rabbits.
OOC: Poking bears can be fun...it's when they poke back that you have to worry :)
Nothing special, deer maybe a boar and if you are lucky or maybe unlucky, it depends, you might actually encounter e bear. If you want to hunt, roll a survival check
Unfortunatly Chantells hunt is as fruitless as Niesella's attempt to spot potential danger.
Niesella, all you can hear the birds tweet and some grasshoppers chirp. In your time in the forrest you learned to appreciate that sound, because when something big moves through the forrest, the grasshoppers keep quiet.
Chantell you move through the forrest for a while without finding any tracks to follow and eventually decide to return to the path.
Niesella, seeing Chantell return from his hunt empty handed, unslings her pack from her shoulder. "We have rations, they'll get us through till we reach the next town." she then handed Chantell and Telurion each one. "We should talk about what type of business we will look for once we get there, how shall we present ourselves?"
”Do we need to present ourselves in any particular way?” - Telurion chuckled - “I was thinking we could perhaps find a place to spend the night, and perhaps keep an eye and an ear out for the goings on of the place”
