'I am in need of bandages.'I said. I slightly spreak my arms and lifted my hood to show what I was implying. 'Do you have any heavy duty ones suited for desert travels?'
"Yes! Yes yes yes!" The bullywug croaks. He ducks down, rummaging underneath his desk to emerge with a sandalwood box. Words in a strange language (slyvan) are carved across the top of it, and he plonks it down on the desk with a thud. "There are ten bandages in here! Perfect for desert travels. Ten gold for the box, unless you want to add one of our marvellous potions to your purchase."
Ten gold. It was a lot for what was offered. I gently nudged the pouch on my belt. I did have ten golden coins as the waitress had refused to take reparations for my rain-related actions. I had no need of food or water or lodgings and thus could afford the price yet ten coins still gave me the vague impression that I was being overcharged. Unfortunately I could not afford not getting new bandages. The need overpowered the caution. With heavy hand I plucked my pouch from my belt and with slow, deliberate movement took out a gold coin one piece at a time. I kept a close eye on the frogman while I slowly stacked the coins in a pile on the desk.
'Just the bandages will do fine.' I told the merchant when I put down the fifth coin. I hesitated for a moment and pointed at the strange words carved in the lid of the box. 'What does this say?'

"Ah, it says bandages in my home tongue," the bullywug replies, seeming a little surprised that you aren't going to haggle. "We keep them in the box to keep them dry, so you can have that as well. No sense in selling wet bandages, eh?"
...
Back in the magenta tent, the satyr's eyes light up as he directs Rohar to a shelf, where a single bone and silver horn stands proudly displayed. Etched into it are runes written in giant, all of them names of warriors.
"So I found this up north, you know, from the same kind of area that your people were enslaved from, and I immediately knew it had magical qualities!" the merchant starts to ramble. "But no one wants to buy it, can you believe that? They say nothing made by goliaths is worth buying. The disrespect your people get is quite shocking, at least to me, I mean, we don't have slavery in the feywild. So even though it should be worth a great deal more, I've marked it down to 50 gold pieces. Interested?"
Three, you hear a soft, affectionate scoff from behind you. Turning around, you see a scholarly looking fairy with monarch butterfly wings and soft blonde hair.
"Forgive my husband, he gets a little excited sometimes," he says to you. "That oud is worth 100 gold pieces, although I am always willing to trade it for something else of interest."

"Aah, yes. Well that would be well out of my price range, since I am a slave." Three's posture then changes to that of royalty, pulling up the right sleeve of his shirt, exposing two brandings. One of which is on the shoulder: the symbol of the queen, while the other is on the upper-arm, right under the armpit: the symbol of the queen's assassins.
Everyone knows the symbol of the queen, although only those involved in criminal dealings know of the assassin's symbol. Even so, just knowing that this tiefling is in the direct service of the queen should be enough to remove taxation, and even after that, I may be able to provide a "service" for them.
He then ominously says: "Perhaps I could provide... a service for thee?"
The fairy narrows his eyes, regarding you with suspicion.
"I'm not sure what you're implying, but, actually, yes, I do have a service I'd appreciate provided," he says, resettling two pieces of glass back onto his nose (spectacles - they aren't a common sight here, but the feywild has more sophisticated tech than Aldhahab does). "I'm looking for a dangerous magical artefact that was stolen from me a few days ago. If you find it and return it to me in one piece, and we have a deal."
He gestures you over to the desk, opening up a worn notebook.Tearing out a page and handing it to you, you see on it a diagram of a scythe, decorated with hieroglyphs with such charming meanings of 'death calls', 'hail the chaos king' and 'may he lay in one thousand pieces, forever'.

"OOOhhhh, yes... I would love to have it." Rohar exclaims as she starts to pull her money from her pack. Then she stops... "But wait just a sec, OK?"
She turns to Three. "I do not know the value of money, do you think this is worth what they are asking? I don't know what it does, but it seems cool and they say it is magical?" So I should get it right?" Rohar looks at Three expectantly
Would I know any of this from my past, or would I have to make some kind of check.
Three turns to Rohar, and says: "It does seem worth the money, but only if you can afford it. If you cannot, don't go broke over it, you could ask the rest of our group for financial aid."
Rohar turns back to the Satyr. "My friend says I should buy it if I can afford it, I need to keep some money to get supplies, and such, because I have none. My nice companions did give me a bit of money tho... Would you be willing to take 35 gp for it?" Rohar holds out 35 gold to the Satyr.
Khaddim looks at Yurime with a small smile. "Where do you want to go now? We have that green tent -although I don't know it's name-, there's ‘Ortogh and son weaponry' and ‘The everlasting ever interesting traveling emporium of remarkable items’ -that's the longest name I've ever heard-. It's your choice."

Still moody, the Kumiho turns to Khaddim for a brief moment before looking ahead again. "I don't really need to purchase anything right now beside, maybe a longer cloak to blend in. I doubt I can hide my appearance in my current outfit much longer." Her tone has reverted to the same one as when she first encounters the queen. She pauses and glances towards the other tents that he mentioned and turns towards him again. "Which tent would sell robes, cloaks or similar? I doubt the green tent would have anything for me, especially with its bottle-like appearance and murky surroundings. Also isn't that the tent that Shak- sorry, Rashaken went into? As for weaponry and remarkable items..." She briefly pulls out her Tessen Fan (reskinned dagger) and unfurls it before retracting it again. "I'll pass on that too. Just like jewellery and expensive items, I don't buy them unless if it's something I truly need. Though maybe if it's to enchant my existing ones..."
She then turns towards Khaddim again. "The big question is, is there anything YOU need to buy? I'll be happy to spend for you if that's the case." Then notices a rogue standing still, hoping not to be noticed by the crowd as well. "Oh!" she notices the half-elf idly standing still. "Umm, miss. Are you ok? You're not going to buy anything?"

From the moment that Seria walked into this tent, she knew that the tent had a magical aura to it. She assumed it was because it contained a lot of magical items but after seeing the fairy, her question was answered. Upon the request for the goliath bone, she thought. What could be so valuable that the satyr was willing to give anything away for? She thought about it for a long moment before going back to the bargain. The bone definitely not worth 100gp so unless the fairy was willing to reduce the price there was no point in trying to haggle. But since the satyr stated his other offer, How dangerous is this quest. The bone might not be worth almost dying for. But then again I can probably find the item turn up in an underground market. Seria turned to the others to give her input. "I think we need a little more information before we start throwing money around"

Rohar, the satyr looks mildly offended that you're trying to haggle. "50 gold pieces is a good price - ah, forgive me, you don't know what it does yet. Back outside, Khaddim and Yurime notice a teal tent with the name 'Correni’s charming cloths and clothing goods' embroidered on a banner outside of it. Judging from the streams of people entering and leaving the tent, this seems to be the place to buy new outfits.

Three, the inscriptions on the scythe ring a bell. As a member of the Pharoah's assassins, you would have been made to learn about the religion of Aldhahab. You quite easily recall the story of Osiris's death - how the god of discord and destruction, Set, trapped his brother in a sarcophagus out of jealousy, and threw him into the river to rot. But the goddess Isis found the body, for a great tree had grown around where it was buried in the mud. In fury, Set fashioned a scythe out of his pure rage and used it to cut Osiris up into many parts.
Even though it is unlikely, this could very well be that scythe - or perhaps a replica made by a follower of Set to honour him. You also, with your sharp investigative mind, quickly realise that if this item was indeed the one in the legends, it would carry a curse. This is because it was used against a god, and not just any god, but a kindhearted, good aligned one at that.
...
The teal tent is busy, full of elegant women trying on fancy silks of various kinds. They seem to be attended to by invisible servers, the only real person there an emerald green dragonborn, who seems to be in a heated conversation with an aasimar.
"I told you, ma'am, no refunds," you hear him snicker as you get closer. "It really isn't my fault the sun bleached the colour out, is it?"
"You tricked me and I'm leaving!" She snaps, throwing a dull red garment in his face. He chuckles as he pulls it off, turning to Yurime.
"Ah, a new customer. How can I serve such a beautiful young lady?" he says with a bow. "My name is Correni, owner of this establishment. Oh, and you can leave your slave at the door if you wish."
