I know I said I'd leave recruitment open for a week, but in the interest of speeding things along (plus the limited interest), I will be closing on Saturday. If you could please submit your applications before then that'd be great. Thanks :)
Good Rumor: "You notice all the good things been 'appenin' round here recently? I don't think its fairies. Crofter said he saw that big orc, the one with the weird sword and shield strapped to its back, hauling firewood and cleaning gardens in the middle of the night. What kind of crazy thing is that? Not that I mind. My back's too bad with the rain to chop my own firewood. Tis a blessing, even though he's scarier looking than a Karrnathi brigade."
Bad Rumor: "I've heard that orc there is a secret cultist of the Dragon Below. Look no further than the weapon they wield and the way misfortune follows them like a pack of ravens after a battle. Pretty obvious when you think about it, eh?"
Idea #2: Gnoll with Big Club
Ghyrryn Ro, Znir
Good Rumor: "I swear to the Host! It was a gnoll what found me at the lowest point in my life and helped me get clean. Haven't touched a drop since. And all the crowns what I used to spend on booze have gone back to helping the same street kids I once was. All from the advice of a seven foot beast!"
Bad Rumor: "Know what a monster like that needs to do to get kicked out of Droaam? I heard it killed one of the warlords liked by the Daughters, and fled before they could do anything. So it's a traitor AND a coward." *spits*
I've got two concepts; wanted to see if one was more interesting/exciting to you/better fit before I fully flesh out. :)
A) Human fighter, soldier background, planning Battle Master. He was an NCO in the army of Cyre during the Last War. His unit was elsewhere on the Day of Mourning, so they survived but were left adrift. I'm considering the idea that (perhaps due to the Day of Mourning) he developed an Aberrant Dragonmark, but either way, with the loss of his home and the end of the war, he's been sort of drifting from small merc jobs, looking for a new unit/family to belong to.
B) Halfling mark of healing monk, planning Way of Mercy. As a marked member of House Jorasco, he's had training and experience in healing, and knows what bodies are capable of. This started him down the path of honing his, and learning how to fight with it. On several occasions he's ended up being security/bodyguard for other members of the House; people don't always like the idea of having to pay for the House's help, and a few have had the idea that "hey, halflings are small; we'll kidnap one for our own private healer".

Entirely up to you, both seem absolutely fascinating. That being said I haven't seen a healer yet and I kinda forgot that's sorta a requirement for adventurers.
Also a halfling monk healer is incredibly funny to me because it's a personification of "I'm an army doctor, which means I can break every bone in your body while naming them."
I now have up to ten spaces available so long as this guy plays the monk

I don't think we'd want the monk as main/sole healer; the mark gives a 1/long rest cast of Cure Wounds, and that's it till 3rd. Even after that, healing would be relatively minimal.

Does this mean you are accepting 10 players? Are they all going to be in the same group, or running tandem adventures? :)

That’s what spunky sidekicks are for! (Cheap and expendable too, added bonus!)

I... I want both of these. I don't know which one you should play I want them both
Rumor 1: "Tarravan? Yeah, I served with her. Damn near saved my life after the Mourning. We were there, the two of us, part of the pact-bound Breland and Thrane armies marching into Cyre. We were there, at the Saerun Road, in the thick of the action against the Cyrans and their 'forged, when the sky lit up and everything went to Dolurrh in a handbasket. I passed out after a titan nearly crushed me; when I woke, Tarravan was dragging me away from the wall of mist. I'll never forget that woman as long as I live!"
Rumor 2: "Tarravan lost her powers? Jayne Tarravan, the Silver Terror? Yeah, that's what everyone called her back then. Those Flamers love to espouse their devotion to wiping out evil, but in the Terror's hands, that Silver Flame is a force of destruction that doesn't care who it burns. I was fighting for king and country at Cairn Hill when she earned that name as a young woman. Called down a thrice-damned ball of fire from the sky that took out half my regiment. Make no mistake, even without her powers, she's a cold blooded killer. I can still hear the screams, I still bear the scars... and I still see her face, emotionless, as she watched us retreat. I'll never forget that woman as long as I live."
All right, tomorrow is the last day of recruitment could I please get an interest check? Could everyone who's submitted an application send me some sort of message saying that they're still interested? And could those who currently have Placeholders respond here with whether or not they're still interested?

You flatter me. =D I'm fine with playing either. I am still interested and will PM you fuller applications later today.
Hey everyone, last day of recruitment! I understand there are some still working on their characters but I will not be accepting any new applications unless you have a placeholder
The more I think about it the more it makes sense to have two parties in the same “campaign” but in different parts of the world. In which case all of you would be in simply in different parties seeing as you all have compelling characters (for which I blame Everton it is an incredibly fascinating and diverse setting) and I don’t want to reject any of them
I know I said I'd leave recruitment open for a week, but in the interest of speeding things along (plus the limited interest), I will be closing on Saturday. If you could please submit your applications before then that'd be great. Thanks :)
Farewell.

I know I haven't given dsolodow one yet but I'm waiting for their full application.
