we can take the bear with us if you like. My charm will last till this time tomorrow. We can tend his wounds and eat together. And if that's the case i can pray to Melora to grant me the beasts tongue and i can ask about the surrounding area.whereshould we set camp?
As your group heads out for the town of steamside for the final days nothing of importance or danger happens along the road. Is there anythign that your group would like to do along the way to the town of steamside.
While the bear was nice company for a short while, it belongs in the wild, so after tending to its wound as best I could over the 24 hours it was charmed, I send it off. Nothing else to do comes to mind.
As we drawn near to Steamside I would like to start looking to see there are any unusual tracks headed off into the woods, or anything that looks like it'd belong to a large group trying to hide.
As your group walks the road into steam side the town itself seems much smaller then you remembered. Less then 10 buildings make up the entire hamlet. The sun is out and the warmth of the mid afternoon sun is clearly felt. Jonjavar during the trip has been looking for tracks of any large group but most if not all tracks seem to only lead to and from town. The buildings of steamside seem worn down but sturdy. Probably all built by hand by the family's that live there. There seems to be no real layout to the town, buildings are spread about almost in a circle, like a campfire with the center circle containing mostly home gardens, carts, tied up farm animals. Only two buildings stand out from the others, one you remember as The Watchhouse, contains a elderly human called Serringford who back in the day was a guard in a major city, the other building is the blacksmiths house and forge, but despite the time of day, the Blacksmiths forge is not burning.
I will go straight to the smithy to find Giliam if he's there.
If he is, "Greetings friend, how fare you and the rest of Steamside?"
After speaking with Giliam I would like to go to the Watchhouse and speack to Serringford. "Sir, what can you tell us about the these bronze bandits? Are you certain it was them? Where did the raid occur?"
I would also like to purchase more rations because I'm out.
(OOC) can you guys put your character names in your signature? It gets tiring having to hunt down your names.

If Giliam is in: Giliam my friend, we got your letter. Are you doing okay? You seemed rather brief in your wording. Where are these bronze bandits located? We need to make sure they orchestrated the raids.
If Giliam is not in: Worried that Giliam is absent, I check on the watchtower to see Serringford. Serringford, where has Giliam gone? Was it the bandits?
Other than that I'd like to ask any other present townspeople for info regarding the bandits;
Gilliam looks suprised at the sudden intrusion into his home, rising up and keeping grip on the tool he was currently cleaning befire seeing your groups faces. He then sits down and stares at jonjavars and says "i am good, i had thought that i was getting attacmed. If this was 20 years earlyer you could have been seriously hurt. " he listens to your groups questions for a bit and with a sigh says. "The rest of steamside are ok, for now at least. Oh im doing fine, hopefully my heart is too after that scare. I belive that old sherrignford has a good idea where these bandits are located but he only mentioned the name. Maybe in fear of one of them going out and trying to fight them on their own. We call them bronze bandits for a stupid reason. All the shipments of ore tjat i needed for my job keeps getting stolen and the first one was a large shipment of bronze and ever since i called them the bronze bandits the name stuck. Now no traders from the north swing by this way and instead just head down to gallo since its not worth the trouble. "
At the watchtower jonjavar is waiting for the elderly old guard to make his way to the door. The man looks in hia 60s but definatly had some muscle in him and at his side a old shortsword that looks like it served him well. After listening the questions asked he looks at the paladin and saya. "The bronze bandits are just some road thieves that decided to take whatever they can, even ore shipments. Not that they can eat it or sell it in its current form. They normally do their deeds a couple miles out of town and i belive they then head to some old dwarven mines of Norlin.
There are no buildings in steamside that sell adventuring gear.
And the invesitgation of asking people of steamside didnt acomplish much, just people wanting them gone.
After seeing the town after the months have past Galin feels angry. Angry at the bandits for causing so much harm to such good people. We need to go and deal with these low lifes as soon as possible. Without trade and traffic this town will crumble and disappear. Galin then slams his fist on the door frame. He then shakes his hand in pain. He looks confused, usually he doesn't show anger or ever feels it. He storms out the door and waits impatiently outside. Where he contemplates why he got so angry all of a sudden.
As nice as it is to see you are doing well Gilliam, we should really hurry along to go and speak to Sherringford. The sooner we can stop these bandits, the better. Kleifam looks to Jonjavar. Stay here just a moment? I'm going to go speak with Galin, see what is bothering him so, i've never seen him this way. Then off to Sherringford we go for the information.

Sorry Friend, I had no intentions of startling you, I say to Gilliam after I see he reaction. Listening to what he has to say I let him know we will do what we can to stop these bandits. After listening to Serringford tell us about the bandits, and learning that there isn't much else they can tell us I turn to the party. I may have an Idea.
Are there any carts or wagons about? If there are I'd like to bargan with the owner to let us use it to draw the bandits out so we can put an end to them and possible return any stolen goods. They can consider it an investment towards ensureing the problem is taken care of.

If they agree, I turn to the part and say. Let us lure these bandits out and put an end to them.

After looking around the town and seeing some broken wagons, pull carts and other land vehicles that seem to be worn with time you know that just having a cart wouldn't do any good, you would also need goods. Enough to tempt the bandits into stealing. After talking with the townsfolk they dont seem to put much trust in your group to take care of what little they own. maybe having a conversation with Sherringford or the blacksmith might be a good thing to do instead of just leaving.
Hearing the conversation between Gilliam and Jonjavar, I head over to go see Sherringford.
Greetings Sherringford, do you remember me? I was part of the group that Gilliam took in this past winter. We've come to try our hand at ridding you all of the Bronze Bandits. Do you know where they might be located? Is there any other information regarding the bandits that you might have?
Seeing Kleifam come out of the shop Galin frowns. Sorry for losing myself in there. I don't normally get that angry. It honestly didn't feel like myself, like something else shoved those emotions in my head. Anywise, what is the plan for taking these bandits out. Galin combs through his hair a little more vigorously than normal.
Kleifam responds to Galin Well if you get these feelings again remember you can always speak to me. Lets go and find Jonjavar and see if he has a plan already?
After failing to secure the supplies for a trap I return to Serringford and ask, Sir can you direct us to Norlin and where these raids have been happening?
After he does I share this information with the party, and ask if their ready to head out.

Sherringford seemingly a little confused at the group running about so frantically say after you ask your question "I may have a bad memory, but I do remember your group. you all were here in the last coming winter storm that hit. I do have a idea of where Norlin is at. I havent been there myself but from what I understand of it supposed location is another thing. Not many people remeber but Norlin was once a dwarven hero. Theres a ballad that was old when I was young called Norlins Last Stand. So the mines of Norlin were supposed to be his final resting place, dont know if the hero dwarf was real but I do believe there are some truth to the dwarven mines. My son had told me he found the mines. About a couple hour walk to the north,. He said it was sunk into the side of a small mountain facing the setting sun."
"Hmm, about the bandits, so there have been a lot of people saying crazy things about the bandits I dont have any hard facts that I haven't told you before. I know that they have been getting more and more aggressive. Before they seemed to not kill and simply leave people wounded, but they have been getting to a point of mindless killers now. I have also heard they have some magics that make metal weapons and armor useless, as well as there is a demon that controls them from behind the scene giving them strength above average men."
As Sherringford pats your shoulder and looks behind to Jonjavar and says "Ah hello there again, you left in a hurry didn't have time to tell you anything. I just told your friend here about what I know of the bandits, now you all shouldn't be in a rush now. You just finished traveling, I'd see if you all can get some sleep with Gilliam, if he cant fit all of you I do have some room in my house for a few of you. Get a hot meal and a good nights rest before heading out. Could do you some good."
We wouldn't mind some rest I don't think, Kliefam looks over to Jonjavar friend it seems that the glove is on the other hand. You are rushing all over quite frantically and trying for a ruse of some sorts i can see, however just before we had departed Gallo you had told me to have some patience. Perhaps now you can exercise some of your own advise? Perhaps these bandits fell on hard times due to some natural occurrence or someone forcing them into this hardship, surely we could talk to them as good men and come to some agreement. This situation need not end with bloodshed before some good will is put forth. What say you Sherringford? You agree don't you, even if they have done your town wrong, perhaps they can make amends?

That sounds well enough. I think a little more down the road there would be a good spot for camp.
I look down the road to see if there are any good camp sites Perception 14

I have no issue with the bear accompanying us. However I think e should refrain from feeding it unless we want it to continue following us.
I continue on, only mildly concerned about the charmed bear in our company.
