Nimble walks up to Nemean and pats him softly on the back sending a soft surge of energy into him. "I think this help you feel a little better as well. Then maybe we can start our way back to Phandalin."
Lay on Hands: Using his last 5 healing pool HP on Nemean.
OOC: Potion of healing has been moved from Tochi's inventory to Nemean's.
"That is fine, let us rest for a moment," Sildar says. "You have had a rough time. When you are ready to move one, we will move on."
"Bah! I ain't no fighter, so where'er we're goin' ye be keepin' me safe, or the Sword Coast is gonna feel the pain of it. There's more to this map than a dwarf's greed, I'll tell ye," Gundren comments.
OOC: What is each character doing while resting? What conversation is happening?
Nemean will speak with Sildar and Argos to catch up with them and ask what has been happening in Phandalin since they departed.
He also introduces himself to Roland, Tochi, Nimble, and Gundren and with minimal prompting will start to blather on about the journeys he has had since coming to Faerun. Filling them in on all of the inane details of his adventure thus far.

Tochi will meditate for a chunk of the short rest, but he is also very keen on getting to know the party. So, even though his first attempt was pretty much ignored, he will still repeat his backstory and try to talk to others to find out more about them.
Roland will have some food and tend to his wounds as best he can.
He chats with Nemean and the others casually. He seems politely interested in Nemean's account of the adventure, but his attention seems to stray easily. Apart from telling everyone he is from Waterdeep, he says very little of himself.

"An old saying goes, that you fight better for those, who you know" Says Tochi, and elaborates "So, I would advise we converse more, in order to know each other better, hence, strengthening our chances of survival. I, for one, would happily engage in a thoughtful discussion on the various gods and magics we all prefer, though I'm open to all topics".
Nimble, a Half-Elf, looks at the others as they rest. "My full name is Tennessee Nimble Ray. Tennessee comes from ancient texts our scholars found that came from forgotten realms to the west. No one is sure where they came from. My middle name is because I grabbed one of the fingers of the house nurse and helped pull myself out of the womb when I was born. My history has shown that I might not be as physically nimble as my name but I am able to negotiate with the best. I have worked in the lands of both elves and men as well as my own lands and both regard me as one of there own. This is unusual for a half-blood like myself but I have a 'Nimble' mind and it has served me well in my life. I seek the marauders that invaded the land of my kin and killed my brother. I hold a heart of vengence as I hope to repay the misdeed of these evil men." Nimble looks at the others. "So how are the rest of you fairing this fine day?"
"As for myself, once again, my name is Tochi Maru, and I am a monk of the Temple of the Primordial Essence. That is not my true name, as one can only be given by hatchers to the hatchlings, yet I was bought, as an egg, by a monk from the temple and was hatched there. The name was bestowed to me by the temple elders, and, for the first thirteen years of my life, I knew no life outside of it. erm... You might not know this, but we, the Aarakocra, are considered to be adults at around 9 years old, so, now, at fifteen, I'm in my mid-life. Anyway, I left the temple to experience more of the world and find my purpose, but, sadly, I have yet to find it", Speaks up Tochi.
Sildar and Argos spend the hour digging graves for the fallen companions in the nearby forest. Gundren spends the time poring over his map, grumbling something about a forge and a spider.
OOC: Characters have each gained the benefits of a short rest. If you would like to roll any hit dice, please do so in your next post.
After helping bury the deceased, Tochi says a prayer for them and, after the ceremony is over, says: "Now, The north-western door of the room we found you in seemed to be untouched for a while, should we attempt to enter?"
Nimble comforts Nemean, clearly he was tramatized by the loose of his friends. "What is the vote then? Are we to head back to Phandalin straightway or do we search this Castle for more? I love adventure and wouldn't mind searching this broken down Goblin trap but we will need to be careful and we do need to get back to Phandalin to let Nemean rest."
Nimble walks over to the door and tests if it is locked. If not he will try to open it.
"I don't mind, we can explore a bit if it pleases you. The prisoners seem stable enough to travel with Sildar and the others." Roland adds, seeming slightly bored.

Tochi looks around and, after assessing the relative health of the party, he says: "Istishia, the Lord of Water, once stated, that vengeance turns us into the deepest-dwelling fish - dumb and blind", after which, he continues: "I wanted to find and punish the monsters who attacked Nemean and his friends, yet, I see, that in this attempt, we may be at risk of joining Nemean's friends. Hence, I think, it might be preferable to leave this thrice accursed place".
After a few long and awkward moments of silence Nemean speaks, his breathing still labored, and his accent came through strongly, “If there is anyone else here that had anything to do with the scum that killed my friends, then we need to make sure that justice is delivered unto them!”

"It seems that we are mostly in favor of ensuring this castle is cleared of danger. I too would feel better knowing there were no stragglers," Sildar says. "Lead the way. I will keep near Nemean, and Argos will do the same for Gundren."
Argos maps the castle out in his mind, motioning in the air as he speaks, "From what you told us, Nemean, the doorway straight ahead from this room, and the tower to the south are the only areas that you had not explored before your battle with the bugbear king. We found no other signs of enemies on our way in."
