Backstory: Warren is a thrill-seeker from a small town way out west...
Warren had always dreamed of sailing the stars and wrangling bad guys. That's what his father had done, or so he'd been told. His old man had gone aboard a spelljammer when Warren was just a hatchling and had never returned. That's why he never got to know him.
For most of his life, he spent his time patrolling his small town and protecting them from threats, no matter how big (or small) and helping the townsfolk with various problems. Being the town deputy, this was part of his job. Yet he couldn't help but feel bored with the day to day happenings. He was beginning to tire of hunting cattle thieves and fixing fences. He found himself looking skyward more and more.
One day, one of those stars landed not far from his dusty town. He jumped at the chance for an exciting change in his life, he raced towards it as fast as he could. Turns out it was a spelljammer, it had come with an offer he could not pass by. Apparently, a friend of his father's had recommended him for the spelljammer academy.

Brief Backstory: Muck knows nothing of his past. The only thing he knows now is how to sail and after sailing on several merchant spelljammers, he is finally taking the steps needed to own a spelljammer by joining the Academy and eventually own his own Spalljamming ship and sail the seas of space. Most of his last crew-mates are surprised he still wants to sail in space as he continues to have nightmares of the one encounter he had with a Cosmic Horror. For whatever reason Muck has to be in space as he believes somehow he will find the origins of his past.
An update to the forum; The approval for homebrew subclasses by PMing the subclass in question to me to be judged as balanced or not. For those that pass, they may use the subclass.
If we are starting at level 1 do you still require us to choose a subclass?
Also will there be content sharing? If subclasses are required, this will give me a lot more options. Also, if subclasses are not required, could we potentially homebrew a subclass after being recruited?
Backstory: Yorax grew up in a small town, his mother was a barmaid and his father was nowhere to be found. He grew up in the tavern helping his mother with work and listening to the stories from travelers about the great spelljamers. He learned songs from them too, and he would sing in the streets for coin to help his mother. Eventually he took up traveling and continued singing his songs and telling his stories, always making sure to send some coin back to his mother. One day he was offered a ride on a spelljamer and he loved it. He thought the most logical next step would be to join the spelljamers academy and really make it big to help his mother.
Ivor was not "Boneless" at birth. He was an adventurous lad in his younger years, like most scrappy young'uns, and found great joy in exploring the winding caverns of his home. Until one day, when he was about 12 years old, he tripped and fell down a steep slope and split his knee on a rock. Traumatized and in pain, he vowed to never be adventurous or put himself in danger like that ever again. The years passed quickly for him until he met Tydar Warcleaver, a strong, adventurous hill dwarf residing in an adjacent city. The two fell in love, and after many years they adopted a wonderful little half-elf girl they lovingly named Moon.
She grew up with two very different parents. Ivor tried to protect her from the dangers of the outside world, and Tydar wanted her to be fearless in the face of it. They all learned to coexist but as the years passed Tydar only became exasperated at Ivor's overprotective behavior---behavior he once found lovely. Heartbroken, Ivor made a new vow: to leave his home and overcome his fear of everything so he can be with his family again.

Certain classes, (Cleric, Druid, Sorcerer, and Warlock), start off with choice of sub-class. It is not required in the form as admitting that you have a pact with a minor devil may impact academy records. Content sharing will be enabled. And for the later levels, if you do wish to do a homebrewed sub-class, please let me review the sub-class before applying it to your character. It will go through the same criteria as others and if it passes then you may use it.
Update: Recruitment shall close once the forum is a week old, so three days remain before closing the forum and announcing the party. As to ensure there's no confusion when they are announced, PM applications are considered as well if one does not like posting on forums.
The party has been chosen and shall be invited to a PM thread as to do a short intro for their characters along with a link to the campaign thread. I thank you all for your submissions and hope that luck will be in your favor for next time.
