Arith chimes in, “I have a map.” Then she points to the side of her head, seeming proud of herself. “A mental map!”
She looks back the way that they just came and narrows her eyes, already forgetting some of the details of where they came from. “If the ‘certain death,’ up ahead is anything like that ooze that attacked us before, then this group should be fine,” she remarks before walking over to the sign. She stares at it to see if there is any sign of who might have written the words or how they got there.

Arith looks at the footprints, then looks back at the sign. “It kinda looks like they saw the sign, then turned tail the other direction!”
She turns to the group, counting with her fingers as she weighs the options. “We could go where we know other people went, we could test out the ‘certain death’ route, or we could try one of the two totally different ways! What do we think?”
She looks north. “I’m partial to the footprints way. We could meet new friends, or potential challengers to beat! But I am happy to go any way down here, so long as we’re all going together!”
after thinking for a moment “Ok hear me out. If it really is certain death, then who wrote the sign? Anybody who went down there would be dead. It’s probably just a bluff”
