Ven finds that he can balance quite easy on the edge of the window, which seems to be slightly more structurally sound than the roof, and can easily lower himself within. It's dark in here, and while it largely appears to be an ordinary room with a hallf beyond, there are unusual lumps all over the place. They don't really seem to follow any order, except that they're all more or less the same size. Each is about the size of a human in length and width, though taller on average. They lie coiled on the ground, or lie flat, or some seem almost propped up against the wall. Ven can count under a dozen in just this room and the hall beyond. The hall continues forward, and also branches to the right midway through.

Ven’s eyes widen as he sees the mounds, concern washing over his face. From where he was perched, he started to map out a path that would give as much room as possible to those mounds, where he could be as light of foot as possible. He then slowly started to ease himself into the room, looking around the rest of the chamber in his descent to see if another path was possibly available for him to take.
Ven's descent goes off without a hitch, and he sees that the path ahead either leads straight into another room, or branches to the right into somewhere unknown, more in the direction of the place's center.

Ven tries to be as light on his feet as possible, starting to work his way towards the center of the place. He thought the most secure place here was probably the center, so the best thing to do was to start there. However, seeing those mounds made him want to be as quiet and quick as possible on getting in and out.
Ven would try to work his way around the mounds, giving them as much distance as he could while remaining light on his feet. He held his breath as he went step by step between them, giving as much room as possible and making sure he kept himself at about a 10 ft distance from any one of them.
Ven creeps through without incident, and turns through the passage. It continues a little while longer, thankfully relatively free of the odd mounds. It opens into a truly gigantic room. Massive pillars support the roof, which stretches far above Ven, even though he is on the second floor, standing on a balcony that skirts the entire room, several other passages opening into it. Far below, Ven can make out an odd scene. There are steps that lead from the outside of the building into this room, and those steps continue up through the room. They get longer and flatter, becoming something more along the lines of different levels that all lead up to the very top, where a sort of altar sits. There are those strange lumps all over this room, much denser than before, and most lie facing the altar itself. Some, bizarrely, seem to be attached to the walls and pillars as well. Upon the altar-like platform, there is one more mound, only this one is facing directly up, like a stalagmite. Something glints on it, shining even in the dim moonlight.

Ven smiles a bit as he sees the glint, looking around from the balcony for a way around. “Well, looks like we might have something here…” He softly says to himself, as he ties what was left of the extra rope he had to a secure spot around him. Once done, he begins to slowly lower himself down, deciding to try and swing himself as he gets lower. His aim was simple: the further he propelled himself towards the altar, the easier it would be to avoid any of these weird pieces. He did take his time to look over them from where he was, hoping that the space gave him some more lighting and angles to make out what those mounds were.
Ven affixes his rope to the railing, and begins lowering himself down. And then... he hears a crack, as the railing above crumbles and breaks apart, and he is sent into freefall.
(Dice sounds)
From the 50 foot fall, Venwaris takes 16 points of bludgeoning damage. He lands directly upon one of the mounds, and it cracks, splintering to pieces. Dust flies, and Ven finds that his body has made an actual indent on the ground. He lays there for some time, the breath totally shoved out of him. For a moment, he feels as if he is going to die, and then breath rushes back in, and he manages to struggle to his feet. His back has certainly seen better days, though.

Ven let’s out a yelp as he hears the crack, the world around him moving too fast for him to find any time to recover. As he hits the ground, the world goes dark for him for a moment, the pain overwhelming him. Eventually, he comes to, holding back some tears from the pain as he slowly forced himself up. “I should…have gotten…some potions…” *he groaned out, slowly getting up to his feet. As he did, he turned around towards the mound that he had crushed, starting to realize that he had fallen onto one of them.
As Ven pushes himself up, he looks down to the crushed mound... and realizes with horror that he's stepping out of a crushed ribcage. It's all in there. Bones, organs, flesh and blood, sculpted out of the same dusty material this whole place is made of. They're rather crude, and it seems as if they've undergone a process of.. almost decomposition, as they become a lot less distinct and blobby, hence why Ven didn't immediately realize what the mounds where. As he looks over them now, he can see the outlines of skulls, arms, and legs. This place is full of these dusty corpses. He can't tell if they're just strange statues or actual people, but he has a disconcerting feeling that it's likely the latter. Before him, the one that is standing up on the altar has what looks to be a shining golden gorget wrapped around its neck. It doesn't look like it actually has any clasp, but that may just be the distance.

Ven spits out a wad of blood in disgust, feeling his own ribs after the fall. ‘“You’re not the only one…” he mutters to himself, as he slowly began to complete the climb upwards. As his eyes find the golden shine, he sighs heavily, relief mixing with pain as he eventually reached the top of the altar. He kneels down next to the golden gorget, taking the moment to catch his breath & examine the artifact closely.
Here's a similar image to what it is, only it has no actual images on it, just words in a script Ven doesn't recognize. It has no clear method of removal.

Ven traces his hand along the design, his mind racing as he tries to think of how much coin it might be able to bring. With that, he started to feel around the item, concerned that the only way to possibly retrieve t is by destroying the bones.
When Ven's hand touches it, the thing melts. It begins an indistinct mass of gold, running down the corpse's shoulders, which suddenly coalesces and shoots across Ven's arm. He feels the liquid gold running over every hair on his arm, flowing around his neck and shoulders. It ripples and new designs, new strange words form upon it, still illegible. The sigils glow with golden light, and Ven feels an indescribable, searing flame. He smells burning meat, and the pain causes him to double over. Ven screams, the pain too much to bear as the gorget burns itself onto his flesh. At last, the radiant pain fades, and Ven is left lying on the ground on his side. Slowly, painfully, for the second time in a few seconds, he rises to his feet. His flesh is seared around where the gorget touches it, the clothes burnt away. It is truly and firmly attached to him. To remove it now would be to physically tear off the outer layer of his upper body.

Ven screams out in pain, falling to his knees. He feels himself starting to pass out once more, just as the pain starts to subside. He reached up and gently felt at the metal, trying to see what had happened to it. “Help…” he tried to call out, the burning around his throat and the immense pain in his back making him feel extremely weak. He slowly tried to stand up, stumbling to try and find his way back up.
