Let's continue from the last point of narration, that would likely be easiest. You had all gathered in the Biblioplex, and ended up stood in a crowd near the edge of the connected Hall of Oracles together.
You all arrive in the Hall of Oracles in the same moment. Due to how packed the center area is, you four end up stood near eachother in one of the few unoccupied corners.
A pulsing snarl of energy floats in the middle of the room, supported by an ornate pillar. It's light seems to be the only source of illumination in the closed dome, and yet it feels as though the room is in broad daylight.
After the last few students trickle in, a sacrosanct sense of calm descends upon the room. A rich, soothing voice emanates from the aforementioned snarl of energy.
"Brilliant scholars, your attention, please. As you are now Strixhaven University students, this storied Biblioplex will be your second home for research, studies, and even leisure. There is just one task to accomplished before you officially embark on your academic journey- a scavenger hunt!"
A small parchment materialises in the space between the four of you, holding the phrase "You'll forget all about any troubles or plight when you step forward and are ensnarled in light."
"The rules are simple," the voice says. "There is a clue written on that parchment that will guide you to a location within the Biblioplex, and hint towards an action you must accomplish with your group there. Once solving this first clue, four more will appear, operating under the same rules. Your groups have been decided simply on your position as you likely noticed, so be sure to be kind to your teammates. Time is of the essence, you only have until the end of the day! Solve as many clues as you can, for at each location, you may win a prize! Now then, off you go!"
(For each clue, you may either solve it via natural deduction, or make an Investigation check on the clue. Anyone can perform the check at any time.)
Oh, and something I just realised. The dice rolling function is only accessible on the desktop version of the site, not mobile. Definitely works though, so we should be good to go!
Cipher looks at the clue for a moment, and when thinking about the specific choice of words used, being "ensnarled in light" would obviously have something to do with a light source, and since this is the first clue being given, it would have to be something nearby...
Although the rooms outside have plenty of varying light sources, none of them seem large enough to completely engulf someone, nor could someone step forward into it. The only light in this room is the large ball of energy, but that appears to be floating atop a large, ornate pillar, also floating in the center of the room. The light from the ball seems to be focused by the pillar however, as a clear "stream" of energy flows from the orb, through the pillar, and into a pool of water directly below the suspended pillar. The water glows slightly, evidently affected in some way by the orb's magic.
Kind of putting two and two together there, Cipher will look between the paper and stream and start slowly taking steps towards it, also looking at the group they were assigned with a slightly unsure and nervous expression.
As Cipher uncertainly approaches the pooled energy towards the center of the room, they gradually feel a strange sense of light-headedness. They power through thinking nothing of it, until they reach the glowing pool. They tentatively move their hand towards the water, and in the second that they make contact, their consciousness and body seem to seperate. They can see their own body from behind, as if completely detached from it. This lasts a fraction of a second, just enough to process it happened without fully comprehending it. When they come to, they're back where they started, near the other 3 members of their group, but instead of the small piece of paper containing the clue in their hand, they have a potion of healing.
To the other characters, it seems as though Cipher approached the water in the center of the room, and then somehow instantly appeared back in front of them in a flash of light.
This seems to be enough for the clue to be deemed "solved", as now each member of the group, Cipher included, notices an identical piece of paper in their hands.
It's likely the other clues will refer to locations in the Biblioplex outside this singular room. Thinking back to the Biblioplex's layout, all members of the group roughly recall that heading straight north from the Hall of Oracles would lead to some form of stage. The east wing contains lecture halls, some study areas (which currently seem to be readying some kind of performance), the rows of bookshelves expected of a library, and two smaller rooms, adorned with signs stating them to be the "Student Activities Center" and "Student Council Hall" respectively. The west wing holds yet more lecture halls, study areas and bookshelves, and also some small gardens, currently being attended to by higher-year students in green uniforms, and a room labelled "Student and Alumni Art Gallery." Finally, south from the Hall of Oracles leads to the Biblioplex lounge and café, a simple information desk, and a student store. Stairs also lead to upper floors, but these are currently being monitored by faculty, so likely aren't part of the treasure hunt.
You may tackle the 4 clues you each have in any order, but must travel together. Anyone may make the Investigation check on their respective clue at any time.
The clue reads "Every group deserves a free treat for their investment. Serve up this list and enjoy your refreshment."
Kal thinks momentarily about the potential meaning of the clue... and comes up empty. A list? Treats? What? Refreshments? The rhyme works, but the sentence doesn't. What "investment" does each group have? Does anyone deserve treats? What is morality? Is the clue a lie or trick? Is anything real?
It's probably best to stop thinking about this for a bit.
A campaign that will run through all 4 adventures found within the "Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos" sourcebook.
Should be good to go now?
I write and draw a bit here and there.
Yep! I'll figure out whether we're starting over or not once the other three make their way here and post.
Yo
I am here!
Alrighty, one to go. I'll ask now though: do we want to start over from scratch or just continue where we were, with the very first rolls being made?
Whew, I made it!
Now where were we?

I look at the people in my group, think for a second and say:
"Honestly I'd rather be setting up my workstation but who knows, a prize might be useful." and start investigating the clue.
