((Ah, it's not even been half a day yet, it's fine by me.
Our first fight together, all of us competing to be the first death and stabilize as a matter of pride, I assume, with these rolls >.>. This is going to be an important bonding experience for us all together. If Norr's initiative had been higher, he'd absolutely be placing a bet on it.))
The Scribe fires 3 rays of fire, each one at the apparent leader of the masked group. The masked one grunts with every bolt of fire blasted into him and at the end of this beating his robes are singed, although strangely enough his mask is untouched.
Casrian picked up on the meaning of the muffled words a moment before the assassins barged in. He stands up, knocking his chair aside, and moves to intercept the three spearmen attacking Brix. He attempts to draw his ornate rapier and pierce the nearest spearman.
As he does, he cries out: "Draw steel! An enemy is upon us! Blades guard bows and casters!"
Attack: 21
Damage: 9 piercing
Sneak Attack: 4 piercing (added only if the spearman is within 5ft of at least one of their allies)
The leader of the attackers snarls, and he waves his hand and shouts an incantation. He creates 3 magical darts of glowing force to fling at the Scribe but the Scribe creates a glowing, transparent shield which blocks all 3 darts.
The Scribe creates a streak of white light, but much like what he did to the enemy mage, his light soon splutters out as well. "Idiot. Don't you go thinking I can't do that either." the enemy mage taunts. The other two booooring masked warriors charge to engage with Casrian, and one spear hits him for 5 piercing damage.
(Alright by my understanding we had 4 henchmen and 1 Mage leader who have all taken their surprise round attack. 1 of the original henchmen is down leaving 3 and the leader. 2 henchmen must have had initiative rolls higher than 13, since it would appear we're into combat rounds and they've already gone. Group order is
Casrian 13
Leo 11
Brix 11
Dolek 9
Norr 3
So 1 henchman and the leader still have their attacks. But depending on how the DM wants to run combat those attacks may happen based on initiative order. )
Norr’s eyes boggle. His ankles were crossed and even despite the fighting and the swearing he’s barely had enough time to stand up and face in the right direction.
”Mab’s bony knuckles!” he cries and he watches Brix be struck in the head. “Back, Master gnome. Stand back!”
In the commotion Norr’s bow has slipped around his arm to face the wrong way on his pack. As he tries to untangle it it slips off his arm and clatters onto the floor.
Casrian flicks his rapier to the warrior attacking him and attempts to wound him.
Rapier Attack: 18
Damage: 10 piercing
He will then attempt to bonus action draw/throw a dagger at a second spearman attacking Brix. (I'm using the RAW for Two-Weapon Fighting here. DM, if you interpret the rules differently, then Casrian will only do his rapier attack this round)
I don't actually think rapiers are light; they're just finesse. I believe you need two light weapons in order to use two weapon fighting. Casrian stabs the masked warrior and he clutches his stomach. He groans in pain. Apparently, it's a good wound.

I suppose we'll have to wait about 7 hours for the gnome.

"Aye, Norr, ye said that ye were an archer like me, huh? Then let's show each other our skills!"
Brix paid no heed to the whispers and was just as surprised as the rest by the sudden intrusion.
Initiative: 6

Norr barely has time to let out a garbled, “Blargh!” before the battle is upon him.

3 of the masked warriors (not the leader) pull out spears and charge Brix. However, he easily evades their strikes, and he escapes unscathed.
It's Casrian's turn. Unfortunately, he is the only one of you unsurprised.

2 of the 4 masked lame spear guys rush again, targeting brix once more.
One spear was terribly aimed, but a spear caught Brix head on for 7 piercing damage.
