Marnoa slowly gives her a deep grin and an odd laugh. He straightens up and gives a little sigh, then follows Fuego and the others further down the wombat hole.
“I could use some candy.” Jacks says, now the children has gotten his appetites up. The golden haired prince looks even paler under sunlight, inhumanly pale, without a hint of life in his smooth skin. A grin plays on his thin, red lips, and walks towards the general store. “I like sweets.” He whispers.
Over the entrance of the store, you see a sign, reading "Ulf and sons". You enter the general store, a small bell tinkling as the door opens. "Well howdy, folks," says a jovial man at a counter on the north end of the store. He has light brown hair, a long brown beard, and the look of a well-fed, well-off merchant. "How can we help you today? Are you interested in our carrots? Grown special using local fertilizer. They are sweet, succulent, and delightful. Take a look." He waves a hand at a full bushel baskets of carrots, each as long and thick around as Andre's forearm. "Or maybe you are here for a little tour of the wombat habitat. Take a look at our fine collectibles." There is a wombat-shaped mug, wombat children's toys, various items of clothing made from wombat fur, and many other wombat-based tchotchkes. "We have other things as well, but the carrots and the wombats are what our little village is known for."
Fuego extends a hand in greeting. "Good day, sir. I am... Fuego! Our merry band of adventurers heard a rumor that your village might be in need of our services. We are here to offer assistance, for a very reasonable fee. Can you describe the situation here in Poopcube Pastures for us?"
Marnoa finds a T shirt depicting a smiling wombat giving a thumbs up sign, with the saying below it “Have you pooped your cube today?” He points it out to the others and suppresses a grin behind his hand.
“Shh. Let them talk.” Jacks’ blue eyes looks at Andre, a grin playing on his red lips. He stands opposite of Andre, letting the bigger man’s bulk cover him, then his long elegant fingers skillfully slide a bag of candy inside his jacket pocket. And another bag for Andre.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Marnoa becomes interested in the carrots, and walks closer to have a look. He casually looks behind the counter to see if there are any ends of carrots there, anything to suggest that ole Ulf has been munching on his own genetically altered carrots. He looks at a carrot and regards it, is it natural, what is being done to these carrots? Have the people been hitting the carrots a little too much?
Mamoadoesn't see any carrot ends, but this is an almost obsessively neat shop. You do notice that the skin tone of everyone you've met in the village is tinged a little orange.
Jacksand Andrecoordinate successfully and Jacks is able to lift two bags of orange candy.
The merchant's eyes light up when Fuegosays you are adventurers. He says, "Excellent! We need your help. Things have been very strange around here. I was chased by a couple of my wombats the other day and, i must tell you, it is strange for them to do anything other than eat and digest all day. Also they are kind of drawing things in the dirt. I don't like it. As for a fee, you'll need to talk to Old Ulf about that. He's my father and kind of unofficially the village elder. This time of day he'll be in the tavern."
Andre exchanges a glance with Jacks, and does his best not to grin like an idiot when the storekeeper suggests that one of them should watch the shop. Then he speaks up.
"I, Andre, the greatest and strongest wizard this world has ever seen, will gladly watch this shop while you see to the wombats! Just make sure to let me know what you have seen when you return."
Jacks pats Andre's broad shoulder when they're about to head out with the shopowner. "Try not to eat too much, buddy." The prince says softly, a handsome grin on his red lips. He finds it cute that Andre has so much confidence in his magic, and if he was able to return to power one day, he surely wouldn't mind taking this big guy under his wing.

"Dad or Grandpa first? I say we go in ascending order of seniority." Morty says, not seeing any more benefit in taking to the child

"Alright, to the store for candy, and possibly questing, but mostly CANDY!"
