The dwarf, now 6 pints deep in ale, stares dumbfounded at the centaur. He had never seen such a being. He’s heard stories, but never thought it possible. Perhaps he had had a few too many drinks…
To help move this along I am going to make an official recruitment for Wild beyond the WItchlight campaign. If interested then complete an application.
Suddenly, footsteps can be heard from outside when a Wood Elf comes walking in, and he says, "My, the weather is certainly upset today." The Wood elf is dressed in simple clothes, as he then begins to look at the papers that is etched onto the wall. The Wood Elf then says to himself, "Hmm, maybe seeing this Madryck fellow may bring forth some fruitation." He then walks over to the table, but instead of engaging, he just sits down nearby and begins listening intently to what the old man is saying.
Are we allowed to use homebrew? Also what level do we start at?
If her Mead wasn't originally on Madryck's table, expecting this conversation, she carefully flies over with it. She's already had the "Wait for others" talk with Madryck and small talk (😄) with the Pixies, in Sylvan, ("What are your names? Where are you from? Etc)
She sits on the back of her chair (since the seat is too short for her to see over the table) and introduces herself.
"Well met fellow adventurers. I'm Robin Goodwin of Aelster, priestess of Naithair the Trickster (she holds up her "smile" holy symbol). I like good puns and bawdy tales and became an adventuress to alleviate boredom."
(Robin is a Fairy, about 2 ft tall with blond hair in a bun and dragonfly like wings that fold over her back at rest. She towers over the pixies & is knee high to almost everyone else. A smirk crosses her face as often as a smile. She wears worn leather armor over her blouse & pants, wit sensible boots in shades of light brown & green)
Jashin then finally decides to chirp in as well, and he stands from his seat and walks towards the table, and responds to the fairy, "Well-spoken, Robin Goodwin of Aelster. I am Jashin Shane, but many only know me by my title, Jashin "The Seeker." I am a Monk from the Cobalt Soul Library, located in Dominion Ring in Yios, Aeshanadoor. I became a adventurer not for gold or treasures, but to simply learn."
Orion takes it all in and asks for another brandy from the lady serving. Perhaps a nice stew might go well with it too please.
"Well met everyone, I'm Orion and I typically live in the woods. I'm looking for work just like you are. Once we have those interested and enough to deal with his problem we can see what this is all about."
Orion takes a sip of his beverage and get to eating once his food arrives.

The little dwarf eyes this rag tag band of adventurers that have begun to gather around Madrycks table. He considers the circumstances that have brought them all to this place. After finishing his 9th pint, he decides to make his presence know to the group and show his intentions. He slides out from his seat and struts over.
“Greeting my fellow adventurous. I am Dalnir Tharhak, son of Tharhak the Strong. I would like to lend my hammer to this quest should you have me.”
Dalnir is a stout hill dwarf. Just under 4 ft in height. Broad shoulders. Blushing biceps. With a scar under left eye. His brown eyes look around the group for any indication of what they may be thinking.
Jashin, hearing the centaurs question, suddenly waves his hand to the centaur and says, "Over here my good man!"
(OOC: BTW, my monk subclass is Way of the Cobalt Soul. I'm ok with you being a monk too as long as your not the same subclass. Also if the DM approves two characters of the same class)

What was written on the gilded notice is described in the initial post. Life time of treasure upon completion. See Madryck Roslof for more information
(My character plans to sit nearby and listen while Madryck explains before making his intention to join the quest known. If that’s okay with you DM)
Yes that is fine. I just want all the players to either be at the table or nearby. I will continue once that happens.

"Madryck Roslof, ey?"
The Centaur (walks?) up to the counter, as the [Insert Orion's Race Here] walks away. "Hey, Ms. Cow, you seen a Mr. Roslof around here?"
Jashin, hearing the centaurs question, suddenly waves his hand to the centaur and says, "Over here my good man!"

Reminder I made an official recruitment post. So I won't be continuing on this thread. If interested complete an application.
(To Sonic111: Awesome, thanks.)
The Centaur strides back to the entrance, elegantly. Opening the door, he leaves and is never to be seen again...
(Have fun with your campaign!)
OK. Does anyone want to set up our own campaign?
OMG, so sorry! I forgot about this thread! I'm closing this, but I have a new one if you want to join. Here's the thread link:

This is still listed as recruiting.
You can't change it, or at least I can't

Hello Hello,
I'm a bit late to the party, but I've DM'd this campaign before.
Kinda fell apart cuz someone found a loophole to skip half the campaign, but if you all want to be players and not DM, I'd be cool running it.
Or if you all have it set up already that's cool too.
