"So you're saying we don't have to run?!" Lan puts her hands on her knees, panting. A few strands of golden and blue hair stick to her face with sweat, she stands up straight and brushes her hair back.
"He's just a conductor, yelling at him won't do any good." She says to angry chubby man, and then turns to the goblin conductor. "Arcane engineering can be tricky sometimes, certainly. Do you have any idea what caused the train to be late? And how long we need to wait?"
She also takes a look around the station to see if there's anything interesting.

Morax dusts himself off from the fall and stretches after the run, makes a few movements and physical training techniques that let you know that there is more to the Dragonborn than his current mild mannered exterior. “Late. That is unacceptable. But, it appears, unavoidable.” He towers over the goblin, then bends down to look him straight in the eye. “You will whistle for us or let us know when the train arrives, yes? Perhaps we will look around for a moment while we wait.”
He follows behind Lan, looking around at the sights and looking particularly for any shops, items of interest around the train station.
Keeping close to the others Direen is looking around but without any particular reason - just glancing here and there.
"I wouldn't mind a snack and something to drink..." she speaks looking at stalls hoping one would offer something to eat like fruits or perhaps something hot...
OOC - the train station looks like the track ends here - so train comes and comes back where it came from. Is that correct?

Oh c'mon, are we seriously stranded without even knowing how long we'll wait?
Ryuji ruffles his hair in frustration, staining his hand with sweat soaked in his wind-blown hair. "Oh great, this is just like the governmental body in the Imperial Courts. Always arguing, never accomplishing anything. Why can't they even manage their trains well? These behemoths of iron and steel don't randomly disappear when countries depend on them for transportation." I would assume that trains should be guarded to an extent, which makes me wonder what happened.

Deciding to blow off some steam, Ryuji leans over and smiles mischievously. "Direen, you need to watch your weight or else you'll weigh more than me soon. From what I see... very soon..." Despite these words, Ryuji also follows the others, feeling slight pangs of hunger after the run. He looks around for signs and historic locations of interest such as monuments, inscriptions, etc. I wonder if there's anything about that ancient battle the Hikari elders talked about.

"Are you THAT worried about my lines?" Direen laughs and streaches showing her slim figure but afterwards she says in a serious tone "I haven't eaten anything since breakfast and we are going to take a 12 stop trip through the desert. Have in mind the train tends to get late from time to time and I don't want to end up hungry or thirsty in a middle of nowhere."
OOC - if possible, Direen will buy something to drink - water, perhaps some other refreshing drink in a waterskin.

Unfortunately Ryuji doesn't see anything remarkable. This area of the city mainly consists the gate, the station and smaller residental houses.
As you look around a few interesting things catch your eye. The closest one is a small stall beside the rails selling various types of ripe and dried fruits, warm mint tea and cold water flavoured with citruses. The stall owner seems like a nice middle-aged lady who probably counts her income and expenses judging from the papers and the abacus in front of her.
At the top of the gate you see a city guard - wearing scale armor, a golden helmet which leaves his face open, a spear and a buckler and a red cape - walking back and forth over the gate while talking to himself and making weird gestures, like he's training for a night show at the carnival.
From a bit further you hear some weird noises, which include moaning and groaning sounds, high-pitched bleats, loud bellows, and rumbling roars. You realize it's a camel vendor who lends his animals for travallers, who dare to travel through the hot desert. Judging by the size of his tent, he might have other things to sell.

“I just mainly work indoors. But that’s very nice of you ma’am, thank you very much.” Lan answers cheerfully. She picks up a green pear, figuring it would be nice under this weather. She pulls out a waterskin and hands it to the woman, “I have a waterskin already. Could you just fill this?”

Lan and Direen approach the camel vendor together. The camels are idling around, lazily taking in their surroundings. They stand tall, their humps swaying gently as they shift their weight from one foot to the other. Their big eyes are half-closed, giving them a relaxed, content appearance.
