"Good day to you too" says Direen while entering the tent and looks through weapons he has displayed. She is focused on finding a small utility knife.
"Do you have any capes, scarfs...? But not the silk ones the city ladies wear, but for a deep desert travel? Just like the caravan riders use?" she asks looking at the vendor.

While keeping a low profile, Arpagic quietly approaches the group of angry passengers, trying to blend in with the crowd and avoid drawing attention to himself. He listenes intently to their conversation, hoping to gather any useful information about the cause of the delay.
"My name is Aisha, nice to meet you too, young gentleman! I only heard stories about the distant Kozakura, but never met anybody from there. If somebody, it's you who should tell tales for me" - she smiles - "I only sell fruits and drinks, but I think they are pretty important for an adventurer, right?" - she sounds like a caring grandmother. - "I cannot tell you much about the wilderness, I hardly ever leave the vicinity of the city, only when I buy fruits from the caravans outside, and sometimes to my brother's orchard. He grows the best tangerines you have ever tasted!" - with the last sentence she puts one in your hand. - "And I also never met any real wild creature, but be nice to camels, they are stubborn animals."
Ryuji smiles at her earnestness. "Haha, to me, you are more of a grandmother than my actual grandmother. My actual grandmother never... valued me much."
Following this slight pause, Ryuji lays down a gold piece, asserting, "It would be most wonderful to get around 2 silver worth of fruits and nuts, especially those that will last. As much as possible for the two silvers will be preferred, I have been living on two pieces of bread for the past three days." With a slight bow to express his thanks, Ryuji begins munching on the tangerine, without peeling, completely unaware of the skills required to consume a tangerine.
"Indeed, your brother has planted the best tangerines I've ever tasted." Ryuji concedes, slightly confused. Oh. Tangerines have always come pre-peeled in the noble houses...
"Tell me a bit more about your hometown. As an honest merchant, you must recognize the impact that the rails have on business, especially with your abacus lying there so prettily. Enlighten me, do you have any guesses as to what has happened today? Additionally, what are a few previous instances of the delays in the express? As for transportation, are there any forms of transportation that move similar to the speed of the express? The faster, the better. Lastly, are there any historical sites of importance here?" Ryuji hesitates slightly, realizing the old woman is unable to keep up. Nodding in encouragement, Ryuji offers to repeat the questions one by one as she answers them.

You don't really note anything useful. People started to calm down facing the inevitable and realizing anger won't make the train arrive sooner, so the majority of them are just waiting patiently. One passenger, a middle-aged man with a thick beard and tanned skin, is nervously pacing back and forth, stroking his beard every few seconds. Another traveler, a young half-elf woman with a green headscarf, sits on a bench with an old book in her hand, occasionally glancing up at the tracks. A couple of older men are sitting on a bench, smoking weird-shaped pipes and chatting quietly about an old friend of theirs, while a young dwarf with a small satchel full of tools at his feet is constantly looking at the tracks, as if trying to will the train to arrive faster. You don't see the fat man who yelled with the goblin conductor, maybe he gave up on waiting for the train. The sounds of their conversations, the occasional shuffling of feet and the chirping of birds under the golden sun fill the otherwise quiet air.

“Do you sell shields here?” Lan asks, remembering what she and Morax were looking for. She walks towards the booth, her palm still warm and wet from the camel’s muzzle.
“Capes…” She muses, exchanges a look with Direen, then turns to the camel vendor. “How about robes? Blue ones, kind of mysterious and looks expensive.” She describes the robe the Blue Man wore. “Has anyone bought one of those recently?”
Morax bids the guard adieu and heads over with Lan and Direen to the camel tent. He examines the beasts with an appraising eye, knowing where to look, examining their musculature, their feet, their eyes and mouth. “Hmmmf.” Is the only sound that comes out of him. He heads inside the tent, standing by Lan. His ears perk up at the mention of shields. He interjects “A shield, and a long sword. I would be interested in that, if you have it. For ah, my collection.”
His eyes scan the tent, and when Lan enquirers about the blue cape, he nods appreciatively, respecting her questioning, listening for the reply. He looks for any sensible cloaks that could help in the desert and heat, but hopes that the train may yet arrive. He listens for the reply of the vendor.

Ryuji nods, closing his eyes for a moment to think. It's so difficult to breathe, let alone think, in this scorching heat. After a moment's silent, Ryuji opens his eyes again, with a tinge of longing tainting his pink eyes.
"I have a tale to tell of the poor man named Oki, who lived in a small cottage surrounded by fields and forests in ancient Kozakura. He worked tirelessly each day, but no matter how hard he tried, his crops would always fail, and he lived a life of poverty and struggle.
One night, as he was hunting in the woods, he heard a soft and pitiful cry. Following the sound, he came across a beautiful crane with a broken wing, lying on the ground, struggling to fly. Oki felt a deep compassion for the bird, and he carefully picked it up and brought it back to his cottage, where he tended to its wounds.
Days passed, and the crane slowly regained its strength. Soon enough, once the crane could fly again, it returned to nature, leaving through the window by night. A few nights later, a beautiful woman arrives on Oki's doorstep. She introduced herself as Yukiko, and he falls in love with her. As fate would have it, they married quickly.
Yukiko proved to be a hard-working and loving wife, always there to support and care for Oki. But one day, she approached him with a strange request from their financial situation. She offered to weave him a magnificent bolt of silk, but she asked to work in secret. Oki agreed, but he couldn't shake the feeling that something was not quite right.
Each night, Yukiko would disappear into the cottage, working on the silk in the quiet of the night. And each day, Oki would wake up to find her by his side, as if she had never left. He was amazed by the beauty and quality of the silk. Merchants from the mainland to the corners of Kozakura would clamor and crowd him for this ethereal silk, and he soon became known as the wealthiest man in the village. But as his wealth grew, so did his ego and his greed. Forcing her to weave more and more, Yukiko's health declined, but Oki was completely oblivious.
One night, as he was admiring his riches, Oki heard a soft and sad song coming from the cottage. He couldn't help but feel guilty for his part in Yukiko's labor, and he was filled with curiosity about what she was doing in there. So, he burst into the room where Yukiko was weaving, and there he saw her, shining in the moonlight, as the crane he rescued years ago, singing a mournful song as she spun the silk from her own feathers.
With tears in her eyes, Yukiko told Oki the truth. As quickly as she vanished into the night before, she flew away toward the night skies with a soft and mournful cry, leaving Oki alone with his wealth and his regrets..."
Staring into the distance, Ryuji sighs and runs his fingers through his hair, a habit he resorts to when feeling stressed. "Love... never comes without a price."
