Bridgette can take second watch, as that will likely be the darkest part of the night and she has insanely good night vision.
If Bridgette says anything about it, or if there's occasion for others notice how far she can see in the dark, Ixsas expresses interest in Bridgette's night vision. As they settle down for the night, he chats with Bridgette, "I noticed that your night vision is very good. I have trained for many years with Master Jashin, but I follow a different Way, which I first learned while living in the Shadowfell. After years of training and meditation, I have strengthened my connection to the Shadows. I can now see clearly in total darkness, even magical darkness. I have to be careful when fighting in a group with my allies, but when I can, I prefer to fight my enemies under the cover of Darkness.
"Is your night vision part of your...lineage? I mean, is it common to your people? Or is it because you have studied Shadow magic? Or do you also have some connection to the Shadowfell?"His expression when he mentions the Shadowfell is more haunted than eager, but he seems genuinely curious about her Devil's Sight.
Not knowing Jashin's party very well, Ixsas also asks whether Mithrellan, Nolan, or Bridgette have any spells for guarding them while they rest. Either something like alarm or a spell that hides that party from casual notice? He trusts Jashin, but he has found on his own adventures that some spellcasters can provide additional wards of protection for the party's campsite.

Bridgette is a little surprised by the monk's string of questions. But she does her best to answer them.
"As far as I know, all orcs and half-orcs can see in the dark to a degree,"she explains. "But... my ability to see in the dark is far stronger than what others of my kind are capable of. I was born with some innate connection to the Shadowfell... my mother said that I inherited that from my father, though I never met him to verify that claim. And after Master Akkron rescued me from the Underdark and took me on as his apprentice, he was able to further hone my sight such that I can see in even supernatural Darkness the same as any other darkness."
If he's paying close attention, Ixas may notice that the half-orc doesn't seem to breathe except when she's speaking.

Once Jashin makes a decision, that settles the question for Ixsas. He eats something, rolls out his bedroll alongside his spear, and goes to sleep.
