"grandpa" Salkur, deep gnome artificer/sorcerer: Spiderwrangler's Forged in Chaos | Pepin, Human Artificer/cleric: Goblin horde | Mixtli, Volcano Genasi Artificer: Champions of the Citadel
Short Backstory and Description: Matti was fully expected to join the priesthood. She was from the right clan, and she had a deep faith. As she undertook her training, however, it became felt that her faith in Reorx was, if anything, a little too strong. Her seemingly limitless energy caused accidents, and she contained an instability that caused her to turn from gleeful optimism to righteous fury in a second. Complaints were made. In order to avoid ending her path to priesthood and upsetting her father, who had connections in the ruling Hylar clan, she was instead given a "great honour" - be one of the first Dwarves to be allowed to leave Thorbardin since the Cataclysm. Told to find Reorx's Chisel, an entirely fictitious 'lost' artefact, she would not be allowed to return without it. It was somewhere to the North... or maybe the West.
So she set off, through Abanasinia, across the Straits of Schallsea to Solamnia. Five years now she has been on her unknowingly pointless journey, and in that time has met many people, none more interesting than Ispin Greenshield. Passing through the busy streets of Solanthus, it wasn't until evening that she realised her Holy Symbol, the Silver Hammer, was missing. In a blind fury she went out into the streets, accosting passersby, demanding they return it. Ispin managed to calm her down, then presented her with her Symbol - he had seen a young pickpocket take it, and by the time he had retrieved it she was lost in the crowd. Thankful for its return, Matti travelled with Ispin for a short while, and grew fond of him. He was the one that taught her to channel the righteous anger she had, to let it power her instead of bringing only destruction. When the letter came to her just a week ago telling of his death, all his advice went out the window, along with a great deal of tavern furniture, and a few unfortunate patrons.

Short Backstory and Description
Zeryla Quickfeet, the petite girl with blonde braids, green eyes and cheeks with freckles, has always been vital, curious, restless and irrepressible as only a Kender can be! Possessed by an irresistible wanderlust, she began very early to roam every corner of the Kalaman region. During one of her raids, Zeryla broke into an underground prison where an enchantress had locked up the young human Drang, Solamnic Knight of the Crown. Overcoming some traps and dangers with luck, intuition and speed, the kender found the man unconscious and, to help him recover, made him drink an unknown potion that she had found right in the dungeon, trusting that it would do something useful ('why else bother to create a potion, after all?'). The potion had the effect of making the drinker fall hopelessly in love with the first creature he saw immediately after drinking it - and Drang, opening his eyes, saw Zeryla as the first creature. Zeryla, flattered by Drang's deep and noble feelings (and unaware that these had been magically induced), stayed with him for a long time, acquiring a certain martial skill in the meantime. But one day Drang had to leave on a mission that only Solamnic Knights could participate in. In temporarily taking leave of his beloved, he left her a letter as a pledge of love which read: 'Est Sularus oth Mithas eth oth Mithas est uthos' ('My honor Is my life and my life is yours') and advised her to wait patiently for him to Kalaman and to try to be careful… ...But the next day Zeryla had a better idea: 'Why don't I become a Solamnic Knight too? So I will have much more company to travel with! And I'll be able to help Drang, poor thing, who alone could get into who knows what trouble! He urged me so much to be careful... and what could I do, more careful, than become a Solamnic Knight? After that, all the other fellow knights would defend me… I'd be the most careful kender ever! Yes, I will do so...' And so, she would probably already be on her way to pursue that aim, were it not for the news of the death of Ispin, a friend of Drang's, that reaches her. 'Drang can't attend the funeral...' thought Zeryla 'And Ispin will be terribly offended. I mean, no, because he's dead. But he might be offended if he resurrects and doesn't see Drang there! I'd better go. After all, maybe Ispin knows where Drang went on his mission. And if he resurrects, he can tell me. Or I can get a wizard to make the corpse talk! Yes, that would make the funeral so much more interesting…' So... Zeryla incoming...
I am 18 and lived on my own since I was 13 due to my mother dying.I wear a dark hood and have black hair. I have very few possessions that I keep and one is the necklace of my mother.
Background: Mage of High Sorcery candidate (if selected will need to adjust sheet)
Short Backstory and Description: When Tisharu was a child he got very sick. The sickness made him very frail and as he grew he was smaller and weaker rgen his friends. So he started to read and learn from books. Devoted to his studies he was accepted to the magic academy. He excelled in school and caught the eye of one of his teachers a member of the Mages of High Sorcery. In time his teacher a black rose took him as an apprentice and groomed him to test for membership.
Short Backstory and Description: Cookie was a soldier, in title mostly. Despite being overly well fed, he did trained with all the other soldiers. But he excelled in the kitchen way more then he would have on a battlefield. He would always find a way to make the most with what little supplies he was given and it always seemed to be just what the others needed. The other soldiers seemed to be able to push themselves just a bit more after Cookie was done with them.
(Would love to tie Cookies backstory with the someone with the squire trait, Cookie would be like the Samwise to a squires Frodo)
Fighter: Duelist (NG with a very slight tendency towards Lawful)
Background Choice: WIP - possibly Noble or Mercanary
Backstory: “I don’t even know why I’m doing this…” thought Garrek as he listened to the rain drops plop down against the top of the covered wagon. It was now his third day of travel and he felt no closer to Vogler than he had the day he received the news of Ispin’s passing. A strange feeling had struck Garrek the night he received that damned letter, pinned by some damned knight, uth Viharin… or something another. What troubled Garrek the most was that it was a feeling he recognized, a feeling he had felt once before… the night his father died. The next few days had been a flurry of memories and emotions, and now without even really knowing why, Garrek uth Torric found himself travel-worn and exhausted, heading to some blasted village he hadn't heard of, on the way to a funeral for a man he hated.
Personality: Short tempered and arrogant, yet confident to the point of being brash, Garrek uth Torric walks through life with a chip on his shoulder. Born into wealth as a child yet impoverished as an adult, Garrek blames both the country and the knighthood he once loved for his current station… and possibly rightly so. He blamed the knighthood for his father's death and he blamed the Solmanic government for the political upheave that followed. Disgusted by politics and lost within his own grief, Garrik walked away from it all, denouncing his title and leaving his family's lands, taking only his father's sword.
Since then, Garrik has led the life of an adventurer, making what money he can with his sword arm. Deftly skilled and well trained by Solmanic standards, Garrik has always been quick to accept a duel (and issue one) and prefers a fighting style that leverages his above average footwork and martial prowess.
Character Development/Hooks: Garrik has a complex history and personality. His father was prominent within the Knights of the Shield and thus he has very real ties to Solmnania and specifically Kalaman, but while bred and raised to be a knight, he left before achieving this. While he is currently at odds with the Knighthood, deep down he is Solmanic through and through. He believes in the Measure and would fight for it, if not for the corruption and political gamesmanship that he blames, in part, with his father's death.
