(Can Druman, Grogan's beastmaster companion, who was in the doorway with the fleeing patrons attack the kobold?)
Second death save rolled
The beast master companion usually protects you and itself when you are unconscious. Instead of attacking a fleeing enemy, that would probably include running in to protect you.
Seing that the calm slowly comes back and that his two colleagues are stabilised, Brak will take a rope and ties up the dwarf. Quite difficult as he is rolling with laughters. "What should we do with this one?" Brak looks into the pockets of the fallen ones and the dwarf (rolling investigation if needed)
You quickly find 14 gold pieces between them, ample proof that they are working for Dran Enterprises (logos on their armor, weapons, etc.), and make a investigation check.
That would make the new Medicine check 14 instead of 8
Stabilized, and Kit will wake up in 2 hours.
The villagers slowly make their way back in, and nobody stops you from tying up the dwarf and claiming several rooms upstairs free of charge. As nobody attacked the kobold, he escapes and combat is over (when I DM combat ends after a turn of no attacks, offensive spells, or other aggressive actions). Everyone, take a long rest.
The next morning, Gill meets you downstairs. "Glad to be rid of those troublesome fellows. However, there is one matter of business. The previous owner of the tavern is dead. His will states that he entrusts me with finding a suitable person or group to own and run the tavern. If you would stay in our village and help us get this village back on its feet, then that would be you."
At that moment, a half-elf steps through the door. "I assume you are the owners of the new franchise? I am your majordomo."
You will find Tully hooves on a table in the back main room and would hear him practicing a new song that captures the recent incident that happened in the bar.
"Well that was remarkably prompt," Jennlin muttered softly as the half elf came in to greet them. "Barely arrived and we've kicked out the old guard and taken over the inn and got our own majordomo. Imagine that." She doesn't move from her spot in the corner but watches Gill and the newcomer to see what this will all lead to.
(Insight check on the majordomo: 7. Jennlin has nothing.)
Kit wanders in, gently probing a large knot on the back of her head.
"What the hell happened yesterday? The last thing I remember we were fighting that Dwarf...then it's kind of a blank," Kit says to Tully before turning to Gill and the Half-Elf, "Oh, hi. Gill, right? Who's your friend?"
“Bad business, you can’t collect when you kill your clients.” Leif calls Nero and Bully over. “Well boys looks like we’re home, go pick a room with a window.”

“Your next ale is on me, and I will tell you everything I know.” Tully speaks with a slight guilt in his voice.

"I'm your majordomo. You were briefed about my role in the franchise, and no respectable employee ever forgets anything from a briefing, so I take that as a joke. Anyway, I see you have found a headquarters for the franchise?"
Nearby, Gill nods to you and the majordomo and slips out the door, quietly but not obtrusively.

"Right...Major Domo...good to have a military man in charge. Sure you'll keep things in ship shape," Kit says, offering a hearty handshake. "Guess that's more of a navy reference," she says with a scowl as she rubs the bump on her head.
"As for a headquarters..."She looks questioningly between Tully, Lief, and Jennlin.
"And the next time we leave you to watch for trouble, don't just watch it walk right past you." Grogan and Druman stroll in, the halfling lecturing the mastiff, who clearly could care less. "I ought to tie you up in the stables." Sitting next to Kit on stool, "Well you look how I feel. Hope nobody left you to sleep on the floor like they did me. Thanks to that mangy mutt, my sheets smell like dog now. Hate to see what the owners charge us for that one." Noticeing the majordomo, "New client?"
Jennlin almost rolled her eyes. "I don't sleep," she said quietly and picked at her ear for a minute before pricking her finger and squeezing a drop into her ale. She sighed slightly, "Really? No one reads the manual? Majordomo?" She closer to the others and sat down again. "But yes, I think Gill is amenable to us using this as our headquarters, assuming we do a few things first."
(Jennlin would explain the Majordomo because I'm sure she knows, but -I- don't lol)
"Here, everyone gets 3 gold pieces, I'll keep the surplus for now" (Everybody ADD 3 GP) "Now everything happened fast. We need to decide what to do with the dwarf and if we should look for the kobold. I don't like knowing that one is lurking in the shadows.". Catching his breath, Brak grabs another ale from the barman but keeping an eye on the restrained Dwarf.

(OOC: If you don't know what a majordomo is, your character either wasn't listening during the briefing, wasn't there, or forgot.)
“Thank goodness, Majordomo. These rivals are not only bad businessmen they’re bound to make us look good in comparison. HQ well it’s not grand but sure for a farmers branch it’s a start. I sure hope your joking about us slaying a dragon, that bugger of a kobold just gave us the slip. Let’s get some intel from our captive dwarf fellow. For starters I’m not seeing much blood what’s that all about?”

If you go into the room where the dwarf is tied up you could either make an investigation check or make an intimidation check to interrogate him.
Tully hops up and moves to the majordomo, "Names Tully, what is your name?"
"Major Domo, weren't you listening? We just said it like 5 times?"
"Actually, my name is John Ruinedfarm. So, you do have your franchise positions, right? Who is the Cartographer, who is the Decisionist, who is the Documancer, who is the Hoardsperson, who is the Loremonger, who is the Obviator, who is the Occultant who is the Secretarian, and which positions are not filled?"

"I suppose we should turn him over to the authorities. Does anyone know who's in charge around here?"
Kit, muttering lowly...
