Rylia laughs as Bryn arranges her scarf. With the cloth covering her face nobody can really read her expression. But her green eyes are fixed on Bryn's for a long moment. When he offers his arm, she again laughs lightly and wraps her arm about it. "Brother Coltinar, it's a shame you don't have a scarf. I'm sorry I don't have another. But I'm sure we'll find you something very fashionable!" As the group walks along, she continues to pull Bryn's arm close.
Brother Coltinar replies Rylia, "I'm sure I'll find something. A blue turban might be fancy. I wouldn't normally splurge so not to spend much but I think I fancy the look."

Brother Coltinar's keen eye spots a second-hand little shop that appears to be a makeshift thrift store. Various items are displayed outside. There's a haphazard rack fashioned from an old pipe, mounted on the exterior wall, displaying an assortment of fabrics and textiles with various colors.
As Rylia notices Braxiel going to just grab a scarf, she comes over to him. "What sort of scarf are you going to get? Want me to help find one for you Braxiel?" She looks closely at him a moment. "Maybe... something simple. Dark with some hints of gold in it."
Rylia gives Braxiel a long look. "You don't care what the scarf looks like?" She sounds almost confused that he's not more enthusiastic. "I thought a gold color would match the beads in your beard." She motions towards his black braided beard, then continues looking for something she thinks would be fitting.
Paladin, even though he doesn't need to breathe, decides to follow his friends' example and looks for a cloth to cover his face. He finds the idea both fun and practical, considering the protection it offers against the dust and soot of the Cogs.
While exploring the small shop, Paladin comes across an orange cloth. Despite having a few small stains, he doesn't see it as a problem. The vibrant color of the cloth catches his eye and seems suitable for his liking.
As you enter the small shop, the atmosphere is stifling, filled with the musty scent of old fabrics and mothballs. It's dimly lit, with the only source of light being a flickering oil lamp hanging from the low ceiling. Stacks of fabrics are piled haphazardly on makeshift wooden shelves, while rolls of cloth dangle from rusty hooks on the walls.
At the back of the shop, you see a goblin eagerly welcoming you. He's dressed in a mishmash of clothing, the most noticeable being a tattered jacket that with its faded shade of green, it's clear that it's seen better days. Underneath, he wears some clothes that don't quite fit properly and his boots look too large for his feet..
"Hello there," he greets you in a excited voice, his goblinoid accent noticeable. "Good choices! Good choices!?"
As you begin to search through the various fabrics, you notice that most of them are fairly basic in terms of material. There are some cotton and linen options, but nothing particularly luxurious. Some fabrics have small tears or holes.
Brother Coltinar, with his keen eye for quality and a bit of haggling experience, manages to find his long piece of dark blue fabric that seems to be in decent condition. It's a bit rough around the edges, but overall, it should serve its purpose well. The goblin, likely impressed by Coltinar's negotiation skills, agrees to for 10cp.
Rylia finds a piece of maroon-colored fabric with a subtle pattern. It has a few small stains, but they're hardly noticeable. After a bit of bargaining, she secures a reasonable deal with the goblin shopkeeper for 20 cp.
Braxiel, though not particularly experienced in haggling, comes across a length of forest green fabric that he deems suitable. He manages to reach a compromise with the goblin, although it's not as favorable as Coltinar's deal. Costs 30 Cp
Paladin, despite being excited about the idea of a face covering, is a bit too enthusiastic. He grabs the vibrant orange fabric with various patches and holes. The goblin seems amused by Paladin's enthusiasm and offers him same prices as Braxiel, 30 Cp.
With their newly acquired fabrics, the group now has some makeshift face coverings for their journey through the Cogs.
Rylia ends up taking one of the scarves, though she really didn't need another. She folds it carefully, putting it in her bag while keeping the green scarf Bryn had helped her already put on.
"Let's keep moving so we can get settled into our accomodations!" she says.
Brother Coltinar tries on his newly purchased wrap covering his head, face and neck leaving a small slit for his eyes to see adequately.
"How does it look, everyone?"
He tries the functionality of it and how he'll feel while wearing it. Too hot or just right. Warmth in the cold? Cool in the heat? How he wraps it might help in both cases of temperature possibly. Light wrap for heat and heavy wrap for cold.
Bother Coltinar tips the goblin 2 cp for a sign of respect. -12 cp from his sheet.
"How's business? Any news on the streets? Any concerns we should be warry of? I like to stay informed. Might be a few more copper in it."

Bryn will case the shop, seeing if it has any indications or signs of being anything besides a fabric and secondhand clothing store. He walks around the space, feeling a few samples of cloth and moving other items around to "get a better look at this item behind here..." (Investigation: 9)
Bryn also offers a couple of tips to Brother Coltinar on how to wrap the cloth loosely so as not to give himself a headache, and how to use one end as the face covering which can be put in place or wrapped loosely around the neck depending on the need.
The goblin, noticing that the group is not from the area, even because local customers always try to haggle, decides to be overly friendly. With a hint of sarcasm and a playful tone, he replies to Coltinar, "Business is just boomin'! You know, we're the best-kept secret in the Cogs." He leans in, as if sharing a well-guarded piece of information, and continues in a conspiratorial whisper, "about concerns... you know... Those fine folks from the Daask, they keep a close watch around here. we´ re very safe. Long as you folks ain't lookin' for trouble or stirrin' up any fuss, you have nothing to be concerned about."
Crank, standing patiently outside the shop, nods in gratitude, showing a hint of eagerness as he awaits the others to finish their business with the goblin.
The goblin asks where they are going and Paladin replies that they are going to Shamukaar. The goblin lets out a chuckle as he responds, "A good place, a good place. Madame Petras keeps that on order". with his sarcastic and amused tone, He laughs again and whispers, as if revealing another secret: "Even the monsters of Daask recognize the need for neutral ground and a safe haven, and Shamukaar serves that purpose."
Bryn finds no sign that it is anything more than a used stuffs and clothing store. The second-hand store in Khyber's Gate appears to be exactly what it appears - a simple store with nothing out of the ordinary. It is located inside one of the rocks that make up the peculiar structure of this district.
As you depart from the Goblin's shop, Crank expresses his satisfaction with the chosen scarves and turbans."You all look great with these," he says cordially.
Continuing through the winding streets of Khyber's Gate, you finally spot a sign above a tall, wide door that reads "Shamukaar." The sign is made of wood blackened by constant exposure to the smoky air of Khyber's Gate. Unevenly carved letters adorn the sign, and a few colored lamps hang around it, still unlit.
"Well, here we are: we've arrived at Shamukaar! If you don't need me anymore, I'll be moving on. I still have quite a way to go to meet my friends in Red Hammer,"says Crank politely.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Bryn tries to shake the warforged hand and clap it on the shoulder in a friendly manner. "Crank, thank you for your company and directions. Have a wonderful evening! Perhaps we will run into each other again soon."
When the group is ready, he eagerly enters the tavern, looks around the room as the walk towards an empty table, and only when they are seated will he remove the end of his scarf from his face. (Perception for anyone watching them with more than a passing interest... 10)
(Maybe the atmosphere was too distracting...or perhaps Rylia did something that kept Bryn from noticing ANYTHING ELSE... =)
After saying goodbye to Crank, Bryn is the first to walk through the large door. He looks around looking for a table, but the peculiar environment leaves him paralyzed for a few seconds. You are greeted by a scene that is quite different from what you're used to seeing in the city of Sharn, which looms above you. The interior of Shamukaar is a bizarre mix of elements. It serves as a slaughterhouse, a butcher shop, a restaurant, and a tavern, all at once. The place is spacious, with well-spaced tables made of thick, rough wood, and sturdy benches surrounding them. The lighting is dim but sufficient, emanating from already-lit torches that cast distorted shadows on the stone walls.
Behind the counter stands a figure that immediately catches your attention: instead of hair, she has living snakes that writhe in different directions while she watches you with expressionless eyes.
At a corner table, two ogres and an orc converse. To the right, a goblin and a gnoll share a table. In the back, facing one of the two windows in the place, a tiefling sits alone. The atmosphere is eerie, yet everyone there seems absolutely carefree.
The medusa behind the counter watches you with curiosity and asks, "Well, hello there! How can I help you?"
Brother Coltinar, "Thank you Bryn that will help immensely in keeping me from overheating or getting cold."
Brother Coltinar walks into the tavern and looks around to find a place to sit. He spots the Medusa and just the way it looks has him looking elsewhere moving to a place to sit.
Brother Coltinar gets close enough to try and connect telepathically to the Medusa. If able he makes two-way chat possible. "Pardon my intrusion but I....I have not met a creature such as you. Can you tell me about yourself?"

He finds one suitable, "Hello, anyone here? I'd like buy the cloth depending on the cost. It's not really my first choice but I'm kind of interested."
Brother Coltinar works his persuasion skills to see if it'll help with the cost of the item.
