Mentally, Rylia speaks to Bryn as they enter. 'What a fascinating place! So many interesting beings! Oh! And who is that with the snakes for hair? Wow.' She keeps close to Bryn's side, even grabbing his arm. She is perhaps a touch more apprehensive about the place than her words to him let on. Though she's clearly quite intrigued. Having not removed her head covering, she looks about the place as she eagerly waits to hear the response to Brother Coltinar's question to the medusa.
The Medusa, despite Brother Coltinar's attempts to establish a telepathic link, doesn't seem to accept the connection and continues to gaze at the group.
Meanwhile, from a door behind the bar, a goblin emerges carrying two dark mugs. He delivers them to the table where the two ogres are seated. All eyes in the tavern seem to momentarily shift towards the group, but after a few seconds, the other patrons return to their activities.
The goblin, having dropped off the mugs with the ogres, approaches the group and asks, "Hello, fellows, what brings you to Shamukaar? Are you lost?"
Braxiel does not mis a beat, as the goblin approach’s,”We are here to find some lodging for the night and a decent meal. We were told this was this place for both of those things. Are you able to help us?”
Brother Coltinar is taken aback and not sure what to think of the barmaid. "I just tried to mentally link with the barmaid, and they refused to link with me."
Brother Coltinar add after Braxiel talks to the goblin, "Uh what is that behind the bar? I've never seen a creature like that. What would you recommend for food, drink and lodging?"

The goblin, in a sarcastic tone, responds to Coltinar, "That" behind the counter is Madame Petras, the one in charge of running Shamukaar. Then, he calmly observes Braxiel until their gazes meet amidst the Elf's towering nearly two meters of height. Amidst Braxiel, Coltinar, Arr, and Paladin, the goblin seems even smaller than he is, but he doesn't appear to mind.
"Decent food," he repeats with a chuckle. "Of course, we have decent food," he replies. "This way," he points to a table for six."On fight nights, this place is usually full, but you get lucky. Since it's still early, there are a few vacant dormitories available. How many nights you will stay? Do you plan to watch the fight?"
Brother Coltinar, "Just the one night please. A fight? What are the rules? I'd be interested in watching the fight for a bit. I don't want to be up too late."
"Perhaps something lite to eat and a descent beverage to wash it down with please. Is there wagering on the fights if so how do we wager?"

A fleeting frown crosses Bryn's face, but he quickly masters his expression. He chimes in after the Brother, "Where are the dorm rooms? How many beds in each? I'd like to store some of my travelling gear before this place gets any more crowded..."Bryn indicates his bow and the backpack, then gestures around at the full room. "Wouldn't want to know someone's drink over like a clumsy tortle!"
"Is fighting the only sort of entertainment this establishment has?" Rylia asks, a hint of disappointment in her voice. She the nods to Bryn's comment. "And yes, we should probably get a spot for these dorms."
Telepathically to Bryn she adds, 'If they don't have music and dancing here we could probably find another club nearby, right?'
Bryn thinks back, "I wish we could. I got the feeling taverns are few and far between down here in the Cogs. If the fighting or the crowd gets ugly, maybe we can find a quiet spot somewhere here or by the dormitory rooms to work on your next song...I hope you won't think less of me for not wanting to participate in a fight club thing."
O goblin explains, "We have two dormitories, each with ten beds, and it costs 3 silver pieces per person. I can arrange for you to have six beds in the same dormitory if you'd like; in that case, it will be 5 silver pieces per person. The dormitories come with lockers, but we cannot take responsibility for any missing items."
He goes on to explain to those interested in the fights, "The fights down in the lower areas are very popular entertainment. I can get good seats for you all for 2 gold pieces, and you can have an offer of a drink." He says with some excitement in the voice.
"Betting is open, and it's expected that everyone places a wager." He continues. "And if anyone is interested in participate we can arrange the registration". He smiles with malice looking to Arr and Paladin.
(OOC: You're all so industrious, this is incredible. I'm really sorry that I was out for a few days, I'm trying to get back to full speed.)
Arr had followed along silently and relived the unexpected reunion with a former friend, still a friend. So much had happened in such a short time that Arr were overwhelmed and needed time to process all the information that had been presented, and the revelations! They didn't feel how time passed on their way and at some point feared they've lost the group when only face covered strangers surrounded them, and Arr nearly draw their weapons. Good that Paladin noted his confusion quickly and told them that they just bought scarfs and had their face covered to help against the poor air.
They've entered the tavern without any expectations. They only wanted to rest. They'd be fine sharing their room with the group or with strangers, he'd leave that up to the others. But then the talk of fights, kind of woke something in them. They'd love to brawl and see how this all new armour would fare in a fight. They felt invigorated by the prospect but at the same time they were still drained from the battle for their lives earlier. This day had been long, truly long. It felt like they'd been awake for three consecutive days, so much had happened today. "After a short rest to get these old muscles warmed up, We'd be up for a fight in your arena, is it free? With or without weapons?"
//--- DM with the short rest in the forge I would say that Arr already has the hit points full---//
Noticing Arr's interest in the fights, the goblin grins widely. "Ah, a fighter, are ya? Very good! Entry to the arena is absolutely free, and there's even a prize of 10 gold pieces for the winner. You're allowed to use melee weapons, and the only rule is no magic. It's a fight to the finish, and the last one standing wins.". You can bring your own weapons if you like, or we can provide some if you don't have any. Just remember, it can get pretty rough there, so be prepared." The goblin's eyes gleam with excitement as he continues,
We have some weapons available for a small fee, in case you'd rather not risk your own gear. We've got a variety to choose from, so you can pick what suits your style. Just be sure to return 'em when you're done." He goes on to add, "If you happen to get knocked out, don't worry. We've got healers on standby to patch you up. So, are you ready to jump into the action?"
Bryn quickly replies to the goblin about the dormitories. "We'd prefer to stick together, so please put us all in the same room."
Eventually, when the conversation turns to food and drink options, Bryn will order something cool to drink, and light to eat. The heat from the forges and lava flows reduced his desire for heavier foods, and the smoggy air still left a bitter taste and some grit in his mouth.
“I see, it’s a free-for-all type of brawl. Thanks but I’ll take our own weapon,” they pound on their makeshift weapons. “Anyone of you have a spare shield that I can borrow?” He asks the party. “And Paladin, are you coming? We could form a tag team. Anyone else interested?” He surveys the responses and glances towards the goblin.
Rylia nods in agreement with Bryn's statement. "Yea, it would be perfect if we could all just take one of the dormitories." She then leans in closer to whisper to Bryn, "I don't really want to watch these fights either. But should we support Arr?" She glances over at the Warforged. "I'd hate for him to think we weren't cheering for him."
Bryn answers Rylia in a quiet tone. "You are right - we should support our friends. And if something should go wrong, I'd want to be there to help them out. Besides,"he says with a grin, "I may see a really good face I can copy later!"
Arr nod to Rylia and Bryn regarding the rooms and they offer to pay, “We believe it is our turn to take the bill.” They hand 5gp to the goblin, “For the room and seats.” Then they state, “We’ll be with our friends, let us know when it starts.”
"It's most kind of you to pay Arr. We really appreciate it," Rylia says. She then looks back to the goblin. "Could we be shown to the rooms then? Get everything settled before we go to observe the fight." She then leans over to Bryn, whispering again. "Do we really all have to place wagers? You have any idea how that works?"
This was absolutely awesome. Fantastic stuff. Super cool. Thanks.
