“Indeed. I will do whatever I could to help you too, but please Lady Martha. Try to calm yourself and please explain us where so we have to go and what it is supposed that we are looking for… so we can actually go there and try to recover it for you… “
... "Perhaps I could help you with this. But you've not really said where we will be going. And I'm honestly a bit concerned about the details of what exactly we're trying to find."
“Indeed. I will do whatever I could to help you too, but please Lady Martha. Try to calm yourself and please explain us where so we have to go and what it is supposed that we are looking for… so we can actually go there and try to recover it for you… “
"It's not a far place, thankfully," Martha seems to relax as more and more people seem to accept. "Listen what Colin told me, exactly" when Martha relates the divination she has received, she does so by reading it from a parchment.
The woman reads in a clear, unhurried voice, articulating each word so that anyone can understand each word perfectly: "Once you follow the road to Triboar for about 4 miles, look for one of the hills to the west... the one that has a white marble arch that allows access to the underground from the south. You will find in there the means to save the father of your child - but you must act quickly, within a few days... and beware that there may be dangers lurking".
"Four miles isn't a lot..." the woman reasons "After that, you have to locate the right hill - but at least it shouldn't be difficult to recognize it, by checking each one... How many hills will there be that have 'a white marble arch that allows access to the underground from the south'? While it's very vague about 'means' and 'dangers', as I already told you. The place, however, at least, should be easy to find, considering that we have a few days. Perhaps you might be able to find it even today, with a little luck".
"Well, a bit of a journey, but not terribly long," Roxana says once she hears the location of this quest. She then looks to Thia with a smile. "Indeed, I am the one that put Ro... Lord Roland Frindos in his place." She hoped nobody had caught on to the familiarity of how she'd almost said just his first name. "I'm sure we can figure out the puzzle that this divination has provided."

Spira leans forward as the tale unfolds. At the end she sighs, clearly moved by the tale. "Such devotion as yours should not go unrewarded. I would be glad to join the quest to bring your Dobbian back to you. And I trust the one who caused the accident has been gracious enough to offer whatever assistance they can to make amends. Or has been convinced to." She waves over at a nearby chest. "Spweaking professionally, I know that sometimes in cases such as these, the spirit which the high priestess of my order was trying to call back would recognize familiar things from their mortal life and be drawn to them. And by a strange coincidence, I believe that might be the same mirror which my brother gave Dobbian on the evening we encountered him before ... it would have been the Mirtul, maybe, before you met him, or maybe Kythorn. I'm quite touched that he valued it highly enough to present to you, and perhaps his spirit would recognize it if we do meet him in this place we are trying to find. That arch, though ... it's tickling something on the edge of my memory ... "

"Oh, my cousin Tharby and her husband Adran are mortified by what happened... Though, of the two, Adran is more reticent to admit it. They too, like many members of my family," Martha sighs "are wary of Dobbian and have a low opinion of him - but neither of them wanted to cause his death - and since the accident, they have at least raised no objection when I have used part of our family's fortune in my attempts to find a solution. You know, we Sharnshields might be wealthy, but we also are numerous... so I, however privileged to belong to this family, would not have been able to organize all... all of this, using only my share of wealth".
"Oh, so your brother was the person Dobbian spoke, as he gave me the mirror!" Martha is all excited at the news "In fact, the night he gave it to me, he had stated: 'It belonged to a very special person, who probably wouldn't part with it for anyone else. Well, you know what? Not even I would part with this mirror for anyone else but you...' Adran had always shown his doubts about this, but I, having heard Dobbiann's words firsthand, had no doubts about the sincerity of the sentiment that I felt vibrating in them! I always keep that mirror close... If it's going to help us get Dobbian back, I'll definitely use it! Thank you Spira, you are a very good person".
"Do you really remember that arch?" Martha wonders "Perhaps you saw it while walking the Long Road then, which is the road that actually leads from Triboar to Longsaddle. Did you come from Triboar - from the south? If you think you remember the arch, it must be on the side of one of the hills closest to the road..."
For Spira:
Sadly, nothing useful comes to Spira's mind. And Martha isn't offering the mirror… but maybe she just doesn't think it will help.
Taking the mirror graciously in her hand, Spira smiles and looks into it, pausing only a moment to hand Thia a folded parchment packet marked with the sign of Chauntea in her aspect as the Earthmother. "Give her the tea that's in the envelope tied with blue ribbon once every four hours until the first contraction comes, but then you must switch to the tea that's in the one tied with green ribbon. Give her that as she wants it, it will make the birthing much more comfortable, and all this is written on a paper in there also but I wanted to be absolutely clear as to how important that switch is. It won't endanger the baby, but the other tea would increase her pain at that point instead of easing it." She turns back to the mirror and bows her head over it, racking her brains as she tries to think of any possible clue that would help locate the hill with the arch. She wondered if it was an old ruin of the eladrin ... or that poor accursed vampire fellow, Baron Strahdivari - something, was it?

the young tiefling healer smiled again as she places the mirror down on the bedside table. "I'm afraid we're not near enough to the disturbance this arch creates in the world for me to pick up particulars. I can understand if you don't want to part with it, but otherwise I'd like to take the mirror along and see if it will help me get a clearer sense as we get closer. I do agree that following Colin's directions seems the best course for now; perhaps if we were able to speak with him before we go he could pass on more arcane and uncertain clues that he might have sensed since you spoke to him?" She pauses and looks around, seeming to include everyone in the room in a question that went beyond the specific point of checking with Colin to include an inquiry as to what the rest thought of the entire discussion and plans so far. Then she realizes she didn't answer Martha's questions. "The only price for the tea is a good word for me with Angharrad, if you happen to pray to her or know anyone who does. As far as that arch goes, we've been all about recently, with all the troubles and all, but you're right that the Long Road would be a good place to start if either Colin or one of my colleagues here doesn't have more recent information or hints that might guide our search."
“Speak with Colin then go looking for that hill? Sounds good to me. Now you rest young Lady and try to remain calm. I can make no promises but that I will try to the best of my abilities to find what you need to bring him back. Little piece of advice, you’ve done more than enough for your love, for now on try to focus in yourself and the baby. “
Aidwyn taps the hand of Martha and stands ready to leave rehén the others are.
“Back to the Harpells place you said we can find this diviner, right?”

"The mirror is dear to me only because Dobbian is!" Martha immediately agrees "If you think it might be useful, sure, take it with you. If you really want to talk to Colin, you'll probably find him at the Harpell Mansion, west of Longsaddle, just after the river that flows upwards... Colin will certainly be studying there. His full name is Colin Dreekan".
"However, I'm not sure that the Harpells will receive you..." reflects Martha "We don't disturb them often or lightly. I myself, when I contacted them, did it because I brought a favorable proposition for them (pay them to find a way to save Dobbian, the first time, and pay them to agree to teach Colin, when he found the way)".

Spira's left lip twitches up at this last. "Well, I imagine a case could be made that providing access to the information which the specialists hired to implement the way need in order to fulfill their part of the contract actually falls under the original bargain of finding a way to save Dobbian, since a way that is barred by the very one who opens it is null and void by virtue of that logical contradiction ... " she pauses to pat both her pouches; you hear rustling and clinking as she does, " ... but I would hope that even if they did not wish to receive us, they wouldn't object to a letter being sent him, and I would also hope we have enough coin between us to pay for his services if they allow him to contract with us outside his hours of study as a consultant by pen."
“We don’t need to see them, just the diviner. Don’t you worry Lady Martha, we will manage…”
Aidwyn moves his head towards the door as she goes towards it hoping the rest will follow.
"Oh, well, some last directions then..." Martha sighs "If you really want to cross Hill Stream to reach Harpell Mansion, remember to use the Underbridge. It is an apparently ordinary bridge, but it is called Underbridge or Overbridge, depending on whether one walks over it... or under it. It is a somewhat puzzling phenomenon, as practically all phenomena concerning the Harpells - the bridge can be walked both over and under (a spell prevents falling... under the bridge, it's as if the world were upside down and you don't fall). And one can only walk under to enter Harpell territory - and only over to exit. Do you feel more at ease if I have Thia accompany you?"
During the conversation the white-haired warrior had stood silent by the window, his face stern and stoic but his mind and soul wracked with the thoughts of possibly having within his reach means of bringing the dead back to life. Was this another cruel joke fate had played on him or was there a way to bring his family back too. "I too pledge myself to find these means."He states firmly as the discussion finally dies out, swiftly emptying his mug of beer and handing it to the young half-elf with a grateful nod, then grabbing his gear indicating he is ready to head on. He wasn't particularly keen on being subjected to the mad Harpell wizards weird enchantments but he was prepared to do what was necessary to get the job done. "You are a local right?" He says to Roxana. "You can take us to see this diviner." He adds, then gives Martha a quick bow and heads for the door. "Can you provide us with horses? It would speed our recovery of what you seek."He turns and asks their client.
Martha is yet another time well impressed by how eager Obadiah' seems to get the job done and as soon as she is asked from horses she quickly reflects and...
...and with a sad expression Martha answers: "That I can't, sorry... My family is already unconvinced enough of what I'm doing... They are somewhat supporting me in this attempt of mine... but most think it is a wasted effort, I know - they allow me some freedom just out of respect of my sorrow. Almost nobody really believes in what I'm doing. So I can't anticipate horses to unknown adventurers - not even to unknown adventurers I respect and trust. I'd risk losing the few trust and support I have from my family".
The woman turns to the young half-elf girl: "You know what? I think Thia is the only one that really believes in me; but, sadly, priceless as her support is, she does not own any horses. I'm sorry, Obadiah, among the reward for success, horses will also be given - and quite valuable ones, but I can't anticipate them. You'll have to do this on foot".
"Wait a moment," Thia offers "I lead you out. Lots of corridors here... plus I'll wish you all good luck before you go" and the braided young half-elf girl stsrts leading you back to the exit...
Aidwyn nods in agreement with Rosana’s questions
“Indeed. I will do whatever I could to help you too, but please Lady Martha. Try to calm yourself and please explain us where so we have to go and what it is supposed that we are looking for… so we can actually go there and try to recover it for you… “

"I too pledge myself to find these means." He states firmly as the discussion finally dies out, swiftly emptying his mug of beer and handing it to the young half-elf with a grateful nod, then grabbing his gear indicating he is ready to head on. It would speed our recovery of what you seek." He turns and asks their client.

"I understand." The white-haired warrior responds sternly. "We should get going." He adds to the others and heads out into the snow.
"Wait a moment," Thia offers "I lead you out. Lots of corridors here... plus I'll wish you all good luck before you go" and the braided young half-elf girl stsrts leading you back to the exit...
