Kalhala smiles sheepishly and walks up to Grymar admiring Lehmani's work. "Glad to see you're alright there and that Mani here got ya fixed up. Sorry to leave you in the middle of the mess... I just.. after losing my handaxe I didn't want to lose my armor too." He looks down, clearly disappointed with himself. He pulls out the other handaxe and starts rubbing the handle of it, almost like a nervous twitch.
Grymar shivers, both from fright and the effects of the acid. After seeing what Lehmani can do, his face beams, “Thank ye, Lehmani, for helping me again. I wasn’t expectin that goo thing to drop down on me outta nowhere. I guess that’s like they get their dinner, usually. My armor, was fallin apart - - much better now. Still stings and burns, but I’m feeling better. Should we keep on this way, or do you think more of those things are about?” He looks down at his arms, his armor, and shivers. His back is purple from the beating that the creature gave him and the skin is obviously burned from the acid.
“Can we stop here for a moment and rest? That thing hurt me bad and I need to wipe the acid off, maybe try to put something on those burns?” Grymar pops a honey lozenge into his mouth and sits down for a moment.
((Heals for 1 h.p. Would like a short rest if possible, or healing. AC penalty still there or gone now?))
Lehmani looks toward the passages to the east, "Hadn't seen those passages until we were all the way in here..."She then looks to the others. "In for a copper, in for a gold I say. We've gone this far, might as well push forward. Besides, the alternative is going back over that stream and facing whatever creature was living in that water. Not a prospect I'm particularly keen on. What say the rest of you?"

Kalhala looks from Grymar sitting down to Lehmani foraging ahead and back again, clearly unsure what to do. He finally offers Grymar a hand up and pats him on the back, "Cmon, we've got your back. Just a bit further, eh?" He calls out to Lehmani, "Hey wait up! Let me go first in case there is anything else ready to have us for lunch!" And he pushes his way to the front.
Zubien will let Kalhala go first, before following at the ready. He transitions back to his long sword, wary of the tight confines and possible areas where something can jump out at them
Berkarak picks a few areas to give a quick but thorough look for anything of value. (Investigation(disadvantage)+guidance 6) But he's still feeling the shock of the fall in the flowing waters, and now that the excitement from the quick ooze battle has dropped, so has his energy. He feels fatigue in his bones, but tries to keep up a brave and energetic face for his mates.
Seeing Berkarak getting weary and Grymar asking for a rest, Kalhala turns to Lehmani, "Should we stop here for a quick breather? Especially if we're about to get near a sea monster..."
Lehmani looks around shaking her head and sighs. "Lovely.... Well, that was well worth the effort..."
She forces a grin to keep her spirits up, then turns to answer Kalhala's question. "Might as well. We'd probably be better off waiting in the pool area, lest another one of those oozes emerges, but otherwise I'm not opposed to a rest."

During their short rest, Berkarak pulls out one of his books and unwraps it more carefully than usual. He flips through the pages quickly and aimlessly, taking a big sniff of the pages, a broad content grin on his face. He stops at a random page and reads a short time before repacking it carefully in his bag. He'll then bore the nearest person willing to listen about a story he read a while back of an adventurer from long ago and his underwater battle with a fish person.
Grymar is spooked by the oozes, he looks around for a moment but doesn’t find anything interesting as well. (Investigation : 7). He sits down to rest, takes off his armor for a moment, checking the joints and amazed at the job that the mending did, saying “Thank you eversokindly Lehmani, this is back to the way it was! I thought it had burned up in that acid!” He takes a short rest, breathing deep, he takes a few of his bee frenz out of his pouch and murmurs something to them.
Then he takes a short rest.
He heals for 2 hit dice of healing (13 h.p.) and he nibbles on 7 of his honey lozenges, feeling much better. Afterward, he stands and looks around, ready to keep searching through this place.
Lehmani tries to rest, but her time isn't particularly restful. She considers the road ahead and her lack of remaining magical resources. "Happy to oblige, my friend... and very relieved that it worked."She says to Grymar. "Unfortunately, I'm not sure how more help I can be, magically until we're able to take a longer rest... and I'm unsure when that might be. My own damned fault for reacting so strongly to the sight of those slimes... but seeing you in peril like that, I saw the potential for catastrophe."
