The Green Hood approaches and stops short when he hears Merrick start going off a mile a minute. With the hood covering his face, no one can tell how he feels or reacts at that moment. After several seconds, Luthok whispers to his group and lets loose some poisonous spores in this man's direction. He starts to hack and wheeze and finally says,
"God damn it, Stinky, and the lot of you couldn't take care of him at least?" The baddie seems to let his hand hover over his sword hilt as he coughs out a warning, "*hack* If you so much as try n' gut me, I will scream so loud your ears will ring. I'm malleable to your request, but so help me, you best slaughter all the others here too or my goose is cooked no how."

"Oh great! I'm so glad you are being reasonable. We'll take care of the others, and leave you alone, pinky promise!" says Merrick sincerely. "Can we get the lights back on Muireach?"
When the lights are back on, Merrick continues.
"These are my companions, Muireach, Dyoken, and Luthok. Can you tell us what the lot of you are doing here? And what's with the kidnapping of young girls? Really appreciate your helping us out, it's much nicer to just talk. Oh, and if you could tell us where the young girls are, we'd like to know that too. Thanks a lot!"
Before the lights turn back on Luthok puts on his mask and sets the shield back onto his backpack. "Answer the pipsqueak first, then promise me you wont start another damn psychotic cult and most certainly not in the Emerald Woods!"

"Oh 'persuasion', I'm good at that too." Dyoken cracks his knuckles and grins, while looking at their new friend like a wolf watching a rabbit in a cage. (Intimidation: 16)
"Woah, woah, cult? I'm no member of this stinkin' cult. Well, some of these fellows are..." The baddie seems like he might keep sassing everyone until he notices Dyoken's intense gaze. And also his intense muscles. "Oh lordy, please don't kill me. I'll tell you what I know! I just joined up cause it was a paying job. Not much of them in Shepherd's Crossing, none for a gutter rat like meself anyway. We kidnap girls, but I don't really know what we do with 'em. I just take 'em to the back room over there's." The Baddie points down the hallway behind him.
The hallway behind him is dim, but has torches on either side of the wall providing guidance. It seems the room he is pointing at is about 50-60 ft away and down some stairs.
"I'm just a poor man, I promise I won't touch a hair on a girl's head again!" He pleads with Merrick as he yanks off the hood to reveal a human with brown hair. On a Charisma scale from 1 to 20, he's a solid 8.

"A promise is a promise!" says Merrick. "You keep your end of it, we'll keep ours."
He looks to his companions. "Shall we go on ahead?" If the companions are agreeable, he will start making his way down the hall and towards the stairs.
"Wow, thanks, mister.. erm, right," The ex-baddie grins, somehow he seems to have all his teeth, though they are quite yellowed and a few seem to be false? He seems to have thought for a moment he'd have to fight for his life despite spilling the proverbial beans. "Have fun killin' them bastards. Some of them have a touch of madness, I'd wager."
If no one stops him, the ex-baddie will take his leave through the way you came.

"T-Thanks, sir!" He squeaks out and hurriedly leaves to the room with the staircase, fearing he might get stopped again.

Inside the hallway, you notice the architecture seems to evolve. In the cave and tunnel below, you saw a story painted onto the wall like murals, but now it seems the inside of this shrine, as the lady in your head calls it, features frescoes that seem to depict what you might think of as worshipers doing various tasks. Parts of the walls are missing chunks, but you can see there seems to be gold flakes of some kind impressed into the wall. Investigation 10 ( trained or untrained):
There are missing scenes here, and it seems they are missing because they incorporated gold and other rare materials that these cultists, or maybe even someone before them, may have stolen from this shrine.
When you start to walk down the hall, you first notice there is a door to the left of you right before a set of stone steps. This door is embossed with a large bird of some kind. It's breast is toward you with its wings stretched out wide. It's head and tail feathers seem particularly magnificent to you.
If you continue down the hall way, you must go down the stone steps onto a small landing that leads to another set of stone steps, which lead to some double doors. These double doors, when closed together, feature an intricate, circular pattern. It seems to glow faintly, the colors shifting from a pale yellow to a golden orange.

Muireach, where you touch the door, it glows as your skin touches it. The color becomes very golden, but only under your fingertips.
Luthok, you have never seen this pattern before, though you feel like what it may represent is on the tip of your tongue. You think for a moment and remember that this shrine was built to celebrate the god of light (+5 to that check). It seems to you that, in it's own way, this pattern resembles the sun.
