Neph cracks up laughing at the jest from Siszhu, although the comment wasn’t made in jest. A hearty belly laugh that breaks up the mood, Neph doubles over laughing and shoots a grin at the grim Yuan-ti.
Meanwhile, Necrya is up front, gabbing away with the horses, learning their life stories. When the sun finally sets beneath the horizon, and before taking a long cat nap (pun intended), she casts Goodberry (aka Lifeberry), and creates 10 goodberries which she'll hand out. "Here, boys and goyles, take these and eat them within the next 24 hours. They'll heal you right up!"
"And Siszhu, no threatening to eat my horse friends!"
Necrya's a Disciple of Life cleric, and therefore her goodberries heal 4 HP each, instead of the usual 1 HP. Enjoy!
Myles nods and gratefully accepts two of Necyra's delicious Lifeberries, pocketing them for future use before tucking in for the night. He was definitely the squishy one in the team and it wouldn't be the first time Necyra's tasty Lifeberries took him back from death's door. The only downside being the taste now reminded him of being beaten into a pulp by some raging monster Siszhu had managed to piss off.
Neph takes two of the life berries as well, thanking Necrya as she gives them to him. “What flavor this time, girlie? Strawberry? Rhubarb? Guess I’ll find out later, they are refreshing when you eat them!” He puts them in an upper pocket in his shirt, close by. Almost as if by routine, like this has been done many times before. He strains and looks forward at the driver, “How much longer? Are we there yet?” He gives a mischievous grin to Necrya.
Siszhu takes one Berry only. Necrya knows better than to give him more for he immediately tosses it into the air and catches it in his snapping jaws, swallowing before he could even get a taste of it. Siszhu is not great on the patience or the rationing… But he does appreciate the sense of fullness the Berry gives and let’s out a soft hiss of appreciation.

“Ha ha. Whoa, dude, it sounds like you got those ears working, man.” To’Kurr says in response to Siszhu. “Clowns and demons. Jack could be, like, anything, man. But something that can warp or hide space, you know, man.”
To’Kurr closes his eyes for a few moments before opening them again.
"Once I was weak. Soft. Much like you. Then I was cured of that by growing strong. Bursting out of the shell which had held me." Siszuh says almost contemplatively. At least for him. "Perhaps you will too, someday."
He could be joking. Or he could just know the life cycle of things. It is really hard to tell.
Siszuh makes sure he gets enough rest to be ready to battle in the morning. He has no idea what this Slappyshack creature is but he intends to fight them at his peak. ((So as to say, he makes sure he gets enough sleep so as to not be exhausted when they arrive.))

(Then it's a good thing this happens early on in your journey - Sishzu)
Those looking out of the carriage see a lot of motion in the brush, more than usual, and you can hear Ernie, "Uh guys... something doesn't feel right.."
And suddenly you're all surrounded. They weren't quiet about it, so you're not surprised, but there are now six bandits surrounding your carriage, four humans and two hobgoblins. The four humans are within 30', while the hobgoblins are about 45' away.
Megan immediately hits the ground and curls up into a fetal position.
Bandit A runs up to Necyra up front near the horses and misses with both attacks with his scimitar. But his dagger finds purchase across her shoulder (6 dam)
Bandit B runs up to the carriage, reaching in attacking Myles. All his swipes draw blood from the poor man, and he smiles with his blackened teeth (18 dam total)
Bandit C runs up to the carriage, aiming at Nephvir as the group surrounds the group. His first attack with the scimitar misses, the second, slices him good. His third attack with the dagger misses as well. (9 dam)
Bandit D reaches into the carriage to attack the old man, his first missing, but the second stabs To'Kurr deep (11 dam). In the bandits joy of his success, he misses with his dagger.
The hobgoblin warlord that is wearing plate, stays back and throws a couple of his javelins at Siszhu, but they all go wide.
"Whoa, man. That's a real bummer," To'Kurr says as he looks down at the stab wound and then up at the bandit. "What gives, man? You can't just try and bogart my stash. You could have just asked."
To'Kurr inhales deeply from the pipe he was smoking and exhales. The smoke swirls around the old hippie, and then suddenly he's gone, and just as suddenly he reappears 30' behind the carriage and behind the bandit who attacked him.
He blinks a couple of times and smiles to himself before, quickly rolling a joint from the herbs at his side. He inhales and blows the smoke forcefully at the back of the bandit. The smoke coalesces into a bolt of fire just as it reaches the bandit, burning their skin.
[Bonus Action - Misty Step; Action - casts Fire Bolt (18+13) = 31 to hit for (5+4) = 9 damage.
Now that he's safely removed from the carriage he looks around, deciding it's time to get serious.
“Time to feast!” Siszhu calls out through.. well, through what passes for a smile for him. It’s not a cheerful sight. The very snakelike Yuan-Ti goes into a rage…
“Oh, we’re going to dance,” Siszhu calls out to the Hobgoblin in plate mail. “Just you wait your turn.” And with that he hops down off the carriage and behind the bandit that attacked Myles - One must protect the squishiest first.
(Atracking Recklessly so have advantage and attacks vs Siszhu are also at adv)
Siszhu first looks to palm the back of the bandit’s head and slam it straight forward into the side of the carriage. Preferably into a metal handle or lantern but just good solid wood will do. He follows up a body blow to the ribs or anywhere that looks less protected than the rest - punch to the neck, kick to the knee, whatever is available.
First Unarmed Attack: 27 to hit for 14 damage
Second Unarmed Attack: 23 to hit for 8 damage
Siszhu then uses his action surge and continues mauling the bandit with his bare hands.
Third Unarmed Attack: 23 to hit for 15 damage
Fourth Unarmed Attack: 29 (nat 20) to hit for 20 damage… plus Crusher Feat pushes this shmoe back 5 feet away from whichever of our party was near them (Siszhu immediately closes distance if he has movement left) and attack rolls against them are at advantage until my next turn. (Not sure but I think that’s attack rolls by anyone?)
If damage happens to put target down after any hit, Siszhu moves into melee with the next closest bandit, hissing and menacing and being as big and scary as possible to try to be the target instead of the others.

OOC: Sorry, I'm late for a training, so I'll make this short.
Necrya quickly flies up 30 feet into the air above the coach, casts Conjure Woodland Beings and magically summons eight Pixies to the area. When the pixies suddenly appear, she points down to all the enemy below, and commands them to each cast Sleep across every single bad guy below.
To'Kurr disappears and reappears behind the bandit D, the one that stabbed him. He retaliates and deals some damage back to the large bandit.
Siszhu jumps from the carriage and unleashes his fury on the one that attacked Myles, bandit D. Even though every hit finds purchase, and he is able to knock him away from the carriage 10', the man still stands, though is looking incredibly rough.
Necyra darts into the sky, evoking an opportunity attack from bandit A, slashing her leg as she leaves his range (7 dam)
Populating the area with her pixies, Necyra's command proves fruitful as the pixies drop bandit B, bandit D and bandit A.
The hobgoblin with the quarterstaff moves in some to get in line with To'Kurr, Myles and Nephvir. Casting lightning bolt, it charges straight through, overtop of B as he lays sleeping on the ground. (DEX save of 13 for To'Kurr, Myles and Nephvir - 25 lightning damage, half if saved)
To'Kurr watches the hobgoblin with the quarterstaff and even seems to watch the lightning bolt approach. He steps quickly to the side with more agility than one might expect from just watching him, his sweatshirt maybe giving him a little more pep in his step to avoid the bolt.
It all happened so quickly Myles had thought once the battle was done. Luckily his associates was quicker to react than him with his excruciatingly slow reaflexes.
Back in the present the investigator finds himself still sitting in his seat in the carriage but wincing from the pain of several quick cuts, ruining his exquisite white shirt, and then magical lightning crashing right through the carriage. Almost finding himself in static shock and not being able to move, Myles finally regains command over all of his faculties, quickly spotting the hobgoblin with the quarterstaff, then uttering a few well chosen words in deep speech for him, making long squirming ebony tentacles appear around him for a cold embrace.
(Cast Black tentacles, placing it as far away as possible while still catcching the hobgoblin with it, Dex save 18 or 3d6 budgeoning and restrained)
Myles then ducks into cover inside the carriage, protecting the client, knowing his associates would likely be quick to finish the battle.
Neph is startled by the sudden ferocity of the attack and he looks at the outfit of the attackers, wondering in his mind if there is any relationship to where they are headed. Then a scimitar slices at him twice and a dagger thrusts. The second slice that connects with him he is able to dodge away from a good portion of the damage (uncanny dodge). He starts to pull out his short swords, when he feels a jolt of electricity come through his body. He saw the streak of lightening out of the corner of his eye and he dodged behind Bandit C, again avoiding a good portion of the damage. He grins at the bandit and says “You made a biiiiig mistake.” He stabs at him twice in frustration.
Short sword swing 1 : 12 (assuming a miss)
Short sword swing 2 : 15 to hit, for 10 points of piercing damage. As he is swinging he sheathes the sword in thunderous energy, saying Boomba! and the attack does an addition 4 points of thunder damage, sheathing the bandit in energy, he will take and additional 10 points of thunder damage if he moves.
Nephvir hops down and moves 30 feet toward the west and in the direction of the spellcaster.
The squirming, ebony tentacles arise all around the casting hobgoblin. He tries to step away from their grasp, but cannot and takes (9 dam) and is restrained (cool spell, didn't know that one.)
As Nephir attacks Bandit C, the only one that isn't asleep, his first swing goes wild, but his second finds purchase, barely. The man's eyes go a little buggy as the thunder damage ripples through him.
As Nephir bounds away towards the hobgoblin, bandit C takes his attack of opportunity, slicing him along his side as he does. (8 dam)
As the other human bandits sleep, Bandit C watches as Nephir runs towards the boss, but sees another bleeding quite profusely in the carriage and goes for the easier target. Climbing in, he first takes the 10 dam for moving, then attacks Myles.
His first attack with the scimitar slices at the investigator, but in the bandit's haste, he misses with his second slash. Taking his dagger, he pierces Myles right in the stomach. (14 dam total)
The hobgoblin warlord shakes his head as several of his bandits fall asleep. Running to the bandit A, he smacks him across the face to wake him, then continues towards Siszhu. Not able to reach him, he throws a couple more javelins.
Both of them find their mark, but just graze the yuanti's shoulders for minimum damage. (8 dam total)

To’Kurr smiles at the little berries. He tucks them into a pocket of a pouch that’s close to bursting with a mix of fresh and dry leaves.
”Oh wow, man. These are the best. Thanks, Neckie.”
He looks out the window as they travel along.
”So this evil clown dude, like, is he a wizard, or, whoa, shape-shifting lizard demon maybe.”
“Don't be racist!” Siszhu snarls. “Be kind to your cold blooded friends. Demons have far more in common with you warm blooded types….”
Well, it could be true. And Siszhu doubts To’Kurr has researched the topic. Unless you can smoke, ingest or snort demons.
