You have heard of children and others occasionally going missing, but no one you were directly connected to. You do recall a strange experience once, though, where there was a report of a missing human child that you could swear that you saw it follow some toad-like biped into the crowd, but then they were gone. You assumed it was just your imagination playing tricks on you.

"Sorry Friends, It looks like we won't be finding our things here, perhaps they''re hidden somewhere within the park..." Marwan thinks to himself for a few moments "If I were going to hide something anywhere in the park, I'd hide it in the hall of illusions, I hate that place, if you want to search there, that'd be fine, I believe we still have plenty of time before the big top show." he notes, looking up at the sky to try and determine if that is true or not Should I do a check for that? "Either way, it can't hurt to look around the nearest attractions for any clues, which would be, the carousel, the dragonfly rides, and the orchard...one of us could even ask that tree fellow, button fellow, or deer rider if they saw Star, but it was many years ago, so I'd expect to hear a no." Marwan adds, he is going to be keeping an eye out for any clues regarding Star for the rest of the day either way.

Mischief pulls out a small music box and sits down near the two boys. "This was my mother's. I've had it ever since I was a child." He opens the music box and an illusory bee flits around in circles to a sprightly tune. "It's always been an amazing sight to me. Although nothing compared to what you can see here, of course. You can see all kinds of things and people. What about you two? Have you seen any interesting people or things, like Dirla here?", he asks, trying to break the ice with the children. "Dirla lost her cub too, like your parents are likely looking for you. Have you seen anything that might help?"
The kids giggle at you, but really don't provide any help.
As Marwan mentions other attractions, you look around.
The Carousel: A procession of wooden unicorns stands motionless on a circular wooden platform. Fairgoers clamber onto the unicorns’ backs, and a female centaur sets the ride in motion. The unicorns shake their manes and creak to life, cantering around the carousel to the delight of their riders.
Dragonfly rides: Huge lily pads rest on the surface of a pool glistening with phosphorescent algae. Giant dragonflies use the lily pads as landing platforms, buzzing loudly overhead with wings as brilliant as stained-glass windows, and alighting briefly to drop off and pick up excited passengers.
The Feasting Orchard: Music and mirth radiate from this park. The heady scents of flowers, mead, and berry pie waft through the air. Stilt-walkers pluck fruit from trees; musicians drum, pipe, and strum; and everywhere there is singing, dancing, and an inordinate amount of custard.

"I don't mind going anywhere first, but since that's the first suggestion, and everyone else seems to be ok with going wherever, I suppose we can go there first, if any of you object to that, speak now or forever hold your peace." Marwan notes looking at everyone in the group.

A ride on the carousel costs 1 ticket punch. Taking tickets is an interesting creature, with the torso of a lady, and the body of a horse. There is a sadness to her eyes.

As he strolls up offering his ticket, Xivros' brown eyes and smile soften to see someone else looking so down at a carnival. "Evenin'. If it ain't too forward, anythin' ah can do to brighten your day? Xivros." Bare hand to his chest in a self-indicating gesture, gloved hand offered to shake.
"Excuse me, ma'am, is something wrong? We'd be happy to help you out if so, We were just coming over to ask if you knew anything about something we were already helping with," he notes, looking at the centaur, solemnly, "Also to ask how long you'd been around in the circus."

"We were looking for Dirla's lost cub, Star, she went missing a few years back, I asked because It looked a bit like you were sad, We're also looking for our own missing things... if you're missing anything yourself, we'll be glad to find it for you as well, or I'll be glad, at least, not too sure about everyone else." he offers openly towards the centaur "If you know anything about star's disappearance, we'd be glad to hear it."I didn't think to ask before but maybe someone should have asked where the ball came from, oops.

"Toad people?" Xivros raises his eyebrows at Carlin. To the woman he offers her a piece of parchment and chalk (because he forgot to bring ink) "Will this help?" With a wink.
She takes the paper and pencil and tries to write something, but as she does, mushrooms blister on her fingers until she ceases her attempt. "I am afraid that won't work either. "
"Perhaps you should speak to the unicorns," she says, as she motions to the carousel. "But first, you must gain their trust by learning all of their names."

Mischief examines the mirrored ball more closely to see if he can glean anything from it. (Arcana? Investigation?)
Xivros scans the area trying to decide where to go next. He didn't really have much of a preference.
The mirrored ball seems to be just a toy. There doesn't appear to be anything remarkable about it.

Xivros smiles warmly at the others. "Ain't got nowhere in particular ah want to go. Ah'll just tag along with y'all if that's alright."
