I'm playing a Triton Paladin, Oath of the Open Sea, currently level 4. I got access to spells at level 2. But haven't seen any 2nd or 3rd level spell slots in my DnD Beyond app https://xender.vip/. Do paladins get 2nd level spells later than others? Is it something about the way I have the character set up? I wanted to use misty step for next session and now I'm not sure if I even can.
Paladins do get spells slower than other classes, about half as fast in fact. Also, I would recommend posting something like this on Paladin or General Discussion or Rules & Game mechanics - most people scrolling through the posts on this sub-forum won't be paying attention to questions about how many spells a Paladin gets.
