Araleth, you can see that this field is fenced in by a loose set of logs put up to seperate the path from the crops. The fire is raging violently within the confines of this fence but does not seem to be escaping from it. You can faintly make out the silhouette of a cloaked figure, but it is difficult to tell with the writhing shadows of the flames, even with your keen and observant eyes. For a moment, through orange flickers of light, you even notice two additional shadows, though it is hard to discern what they could be, if they are even there. It also becomes apparent to you that this fire is exceedingly hot, and even standing around thirty to forty feet from the fence, you can begin to feel the warmth on your skin.
The figures seem to be on the other side of the field, but outside the fence. If you were to walk along the side of the fence, it seems you wouldn't be seriously burned, assuming that the fire continues to remain within the fence.
You will be able to make out the general figure of Araleth slowly approaching the fence and flames. You are all just beginning to reach the fence as Araleth makes her way toward the figures.
Araleth's feet move nimbly over the ground. Your feet do not snap on any branches, do not squelch in any mud, and despite the number of farm-related hazards that may have given you away, you are able to approach closer to the figures. You can now see the cloaked figure in more detail, waving their hands at the flames, which appear to be obeying their every move. They seem to be so deeply invested in the fire that their attention does not wander to Araleth's presence. The two other shadows you glimpsed before, however, are nowhere to be found.
Quay stops, trying to catch his breath. He stares at the fire, and his breath catches. For a moment he doesn't move, but then his concentration breaks and Quay spots where Araleth is going. "I won't...be able to sneak...like her. My armor..." he pants, "is too loud."

Leander stumbles along beside Quay. "It's ok, I don't think any of us are going to be able to sneak like her. She was literally right here and then just gone." He looks ahead towards the fire, "Lets trust Araleth to do what she does best, and we'll do what we do best". And he gives a quick nod to Quay before moving forward...and almost immediately steps into a small hole and almost faceplants in the dirt, "Stupid land"
Quay nods to Leander, and turns back to the fire. Suddenly, he shuts his eyes and starts to hyperventilate, and he leans against the fence for support. Quay takes some deep breaths, whispering to himself, “Come on, it’s not them. It can’t happen again, Praxice help me.” He gets back up, following Leander.
I made an insight check to see if Leander would have notice Quay panicking or not (Insight 10).
Leander can tell Quay is slowing down but isn't really sure why. It's dark, things are burning, the group is getting separated, there's just too much going on right now.
He continues scrambling towards the fire and the figures.
I’ll roll a deception check to see how Quay’s holding it together. What could possibly go wrong? (Deception 9)
Quay is NOT holding it together. He trips and tumbles, and landing on his knees he gazes up at the fire as tears fall down his face. “No! No!” he screams. “Eletha, no!”
Olivier can’t see much in the darkness of the night. He has a hard time making his way to the scene of the crime while also trying not to trip over obstacles. He looks in horror at the raging inferno going on in the field. Who could do such a thing?
As he runs, he sees Quay falling to his knees and screaming. He stops to try and figure out if he hurt himself or something of the sort.
"Hey! What’s the matter?", he asks the elf. "Are you hurt? Talk to me.", he calls out to him, trying to get his attention.
Seeing Quay in a state of shock for some reason, Olivier grabs him by the shoulders. "Take deep breaths. You’re gonna be okay.", he tries to reassure him.
Everyone except for Araleth, you struggle through the fields and it takes you far longer to reach the field.
Araleth, as you approach the growing fire, please make a Perception check.

Do the rest of us stumbling around in the dark towards the giant fire see Araleth at all? Do we have a rough gauge of how far away we might still be?
Sticking close to the fence, Araleth makes her way over to the figures. If possible, she'll try to do it stealthily.

Araleth breathes in, then out, and makes a decision. She slips a blade into her hand and creeps closer to the figure.

Araleth wouldn't help them even if she did hear, but she doesn't. She's focused on sneaking.
As Quay seems to have regained his spirit, Olivier would keep an eye on him, but would return his focus to the blazing inferno scorching the fields.
