Nym lofts a brow, but doesn't say anything at first. Instead, he takes in the room again one last time before nodding curtly to the wizard.
"Do it. And with some degree of haste. If we should have to leave back the way we came anytime soon, and I would rather it still be under the cover of darkness."
With that said, Nym would take a moment to focus and reapply his elven disguise.

"Or we just go around it and leave anyone stupid enough to not see it to fall foul of the trap? We could be on our way quicker and the wizard would save his energy for something else."
Desite this Aryil steps a little further away from the trapped area.
"As unlikely as it is to find one of our targets here, it behooves us to be at least /somewhat/ thorough in our investigation; especially in regards to our kind." Nym states without looking, or moving away from the wizard.
In spite of the groups discovery -- or more to the point lack-there-of -- Nym remains undaunted, and ready to move the rest of the way using their most recent formation (Ayril and Cyrhan in the front with Nym and Tyr back a ways).

As you move down the stairs you see a hallway of worked stone extends some 20 feet from the base of the stairs, then opens into what appears to be a natural cavern.
Graves are hollowed out from the walls of this cave, and some jumbles of bone are visible within. Much of the bones and some of the floor are covered with yellow mold.
In the connected cavern, a huge statue of alien design stands. ( The star ).
Cyrhan stops at the beginning of the cave, looking at his companions.
"Given the amount of magic traps and the few undeads we've met, I suggest that we split 2 by 2 and cover this room before moving. Aryil looking for traps on one side and Tyr for magic on the other. I'll go with Aryil, Nym you cover Tyr while he does his thing. Agreed ?"
While the meaning is to be commanding, the tone is the one of someone taking a stroll through a park, suggesting plans for a nice evening.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Nym still chaffe's at the suggestion, if only because of Cyrhan's easy-going tone. Yet, with little more than grudging nod, he'll accept the terms. As disturbing and curious as the statue was, it is the yellow mold that holds the half-elf interest equally to keeping an eye out for traps. So much so, in fact, that he'll plume the depths of his limited knowledge on the substance.

The yellow mold is feeds on marrow and bones. Though not highly toxic it gives off a cloud of spores if disturbed that chokes every living creature in touches.
Nym will definitely relay the information, though will ask via Aryil the message spell if Aryil intends to harvest the stuff at some point to set some aside for the half-elf later with pending compensation... and that he can reply to the message.

Aryil tries to scoop some of the mold into one of his spare glass bottles for the group to use later. Before doing this he says "Everyone give me a moment, and just carefully back up, if this goes wrong I'll need someone to help me as I'll be choking to death, don't wait too long if that's the case" he says looking at Nym.

"Cryhan will make it quick, I'm sure." Nym states, glancing over with just the barest hint of mischief in his eyes. It fades quickly into a scowl if Cryhan shows even a hint of amusement at the jest. "Recognize it, Tyr'gan?" He asks, gesturing to the statue, but never really taking his eyes off of there general surroundings as a matter of caution.

You are rather sure that it is a Contagion spell that has been laid here as a trap.
OOC: Sorry for the wait. Missed out on the posts and just saw them today.

The spell crackles and an energy burst shatters the statue. It makes little sound but it s like the spell was holding the statue together.
The rooms are empty.
OOC: the path south leads to a set of stairs.

Cyrhan keeps moving forward, as discreetly as possible, his shield raised in front of him, keeping his other hand free.
Aryil, likewise, creeps forward hand-crossbow drawn and loaded. Constantly looking for threats he scans the area meticulously as he moves.
"Careful now, just because we found a trap doesn't mean there aren't others."

OOC what sort of roll would Aryil need to make that happen, he wouldn't put himself at risk so if it would be difficult he will refuse.
