"I would love a pie if you would! Though... Did I read the sign right? Do you not collect coin for your board?"
"Welcome Your Majesty. You must be new around here then. It is rare that you will find someone asking for money in Prismeer. We work off something called the rule of reciprocation. In exchange for a gift, you offer a gift in exchange of an equal value. This could be a physical item, or even a promise of something the person would want, such as getting justice for something. For me, any old trinket will do"
"Funny how things work out," Moneo says over a bite of pie. "Maybe we can find her together then. Though... why were you going 'somewhere else' in the first place? Jumping through a magical mirror into gods know where isn't something most would do?"
With this, the girl frowns. Not cruelly, moreso troubled.
"I-- cannot answer. Please, understand only that there is reason enough. Though, I s'pose that's more up t'you than me."

Eliaanore is apt to speak further, but upon hearing the price of the inn, she instead goes for the door. She'll stay outside.
Annoyingly (or presumably so), she does not voice her intentions. Instead, she merely acts, immediately climbing down from the inn.
Fa'ame, not hearing any of Moneo's conversation with Eliaanore, keeps her focus on the innkeeper. She removes the petrified mushroom stalk she uses as a holy emblem and waves it over her outstretched hand. Immediately, a sweater of white mold erupts from her hand, blossoming into ten strange, colorful tiny berry-sized mushrooms. She plucks out four of the mushrooms and hands them to the innkeeper.
"For me and each of my companions," She says, pocketing the remaining mushrooms. "Thank you for your hospitality."
Her eyes then turn to the herengon seated alone. She whispers to her companions, "That is the one I spoke of. Let's see what he has to say." Without waiting for a reply from her companions, she moves to the table and sits across from the harengon, wiggling her fingers in greeting while fixing her usual strange otherworldly gaze on him.
"Hello." She says. "Me again..."She gestures to the others. "I brought some friends this time. They'd like to speak with you about your former partners in crime."

Nodding to the inkeep, Barreknar offers his horn prise he had won earlier to the offering. He has become comfortable being hornless in his new group and felt it was the right time to let it go.
Following Fa'ame to the herengon's table. He awkwardly smiles, "Uhhh Hellooo.," he looks towards Moneo and sees he is at another table with Eliaanore who appears to be leaving now. His eyes get really big thinking he was expected to get the info they needed. "Sooo, we need to find your old coworkers, I owe them a memory do you know how I can find them? And why did they want a memory to begin with? Do they take it or just want me to share one?"

“Well that’s not exactly free then as the sign implies. How about a couple of these silver, coin-shaped, trinkets for the room and board? If not, I’ve been told I have a way with words. I could perhaps entertain the other guests with a story?” Moneo says, pondering how to pay in a such a system.
"Funny how things work out," Moneo says over a bite of pie. "Maybe we can find her together then. Though... why were you going 'somewhere else' in the first place? Jumping through a magical mirror into gods know where isn't something most would do?"

Moneo nods, saying, “Secrets are something we all have. I do appreciate words more than simply shunning my questions though.”He then holds out his hand to shake and says, “Welcome to the team! I hope these hags don’t prove as difficult as the stories I’ve heard… “
"I would happily accept some entertainment. And it is free in a sense. Not every form of reciprocation will cost you anything, such as your entertaining. Or for example, if someone has a particular goal in mind, and your reciprocation is to help them with that, and the way you do that is to do something you were going to do anyway, that is equally fine. You will find it works this way all through Primeer. It always has. Zybilna set it up so, and even with her unfortunately frozen, the rules are probably still in effect. Even the hags are unlikely powerful enough to undo it"
“I guess I’ll have to start collecting trinkets to trade…” Moneo says, pondering a story to tell to the audience later ((unless fa’ame’s mushrooms are enough?)). But first he heads over to the table to join his companions and the rabbit at the table. Listening in he lets the others handle things for now.
"Damnable thing..." Eliaanore wheezes, struggling to keep pace. It seemed so easy before!
"Oh, to the Hells with this!"
Getting as close she can, the elf uses her Fey Step to reach the roof of the inn. It's close, very close, but she scrabbles across the edge of the building, finding a warn alcove near the chimney.

"Finding them is easy. Just go to the Brigands’ Tollway. I don't know why you would want to though. What have they given you that is worth giving up a memory to them? It isn't like them to give something first, normally they just steal. And yes, they do take the memory, so you will lose it using one of the things they have bargained something to Slack-jaw Lorna for."
Fa'ame's brow furrows, "One of the things they bargained something to Slack-jaw Lorna for... Do you mean weapons? Did the hag give them some sort of special means to collect these memories?" She looks to Barreknar. "If the stolen memories are stored some place that we ca find, perhaps we could even return them to the brigands' victims."

"It is a magical gourd, hardly a weapon. And you have to voluntarily touch it for it to take the memory. Removing the stopper in it will release all memories to the owners. They discovered that by accident once. Turns out that although only Agdorn and Jebbek can use it to take memories, anyone can release them. Now my turn for a question. Why do you care about any of this. What makes you so interested in the brigands?"
Barreknar sets the head of his morning star in the middle of the table. "They bullies and robbed the wrong folks and tried to do the same to us. Well I'll give them each a memory they can add to the gourd if they can reach it. What do they hope to gain by storing memories, what good are they to the buggers if they can't do anything with them? I could see it being useful to forget bad memories."
Barreknar is still perplexed about the memory game, they were clearly still bandits as they stepped and thumped up the key keeper. Very strange? They could steal from someone and then make them give up the memory of the thievery happening. These hares at least don't seem too smart.!
"I believe it is a feeling of power. Knowing you have taken something from someone that no other thief has been able to take. That or he is saving it for if he ever steals anything amazing. One of the first pacts means he has to give the hag one item from each haul. So that could be the memories eventually. This all assumes that he hasn't got a way of living the memories when he is in private. I never cared enough to ask"
Fa'ame's hands fidget with anticipation, her eyes aglow with renewed purpose as she asks in a calm and even voice, "And what are your feelings towards your former collaborators? Am I correct that there's no love lost between you and Agdorn? Did you part in strife or with cordiality? I certainly know that Slackjaw Lorna had strong feelings about your departure. That is why she marked you for death."

Fa'ame's neck goes long and she looks to Barreknar. "Weakness? Well, that's intriguing indeed..."She looks back to the harengon. "In accordance with the rules of this land, I don't suppose there's anything you might be willing to accept in trade for that information, is there?"
She tugs on some of the mushrooms growing in her hair, her habit when trying to work something out in her mind.... "I meann... I suppose you could say that I spared your life by not accepting the hag's offer..."She shakes her head vigorously, abolishing that wicket thought. "...but of course your life is your own and not mine to give... I'm sorry for even thinking it."
