A Ghostbuster like dnd campaign...What do you all think?

The Kingdom of Spooks and Haunts. 

Usually everything is normal, For a ghost town, but now people started to get hurt and some children began to disappear. 

So what do they do? They call a team of what may be the worst exorcists. Ever. 

Hopefully they can help them? Even if they fill the guys/gals get PAAAIIED. 

Get a Ghost Down to Zero HP they Throw out The Ghost Trap to Lock em up! 

Make sure to never cross streams with your Proton Pack!

Alrighty, I'll be placing lore and such in the text up top and how combat and such may work up top as well.

I think I'll go with an Artificer (presuming we are using 5e classes). Couple formality questions to start:

• What level are we starting at?
• Any restrictions on sources for class/subclass/race/background/spells and such?
• How would you like us to generate our stats? Roll here (e.g. drop all1's) or point buy, etc.
• Starting equipment and magic (if > level 1)
