Delvindra has effectively made the tripwire completely invisible...
is there anything else you would like to do before the confrontation, such as check out the door at the back of the room or spread oil on the floor for an impromptu barbecue party?
[[ Lol! The 'impromptu barbecue party' would be great, but Duwamilly has no oil to contribute to the cause. Same for Delvindra, it seems... So, unless some of the other Accursed have any... ]]
Once the battlefield has been prepared as best as possible, Duwamilly is ready to check what's behind the door at the back of the room: "Still curious, Delvindra, honey?" she winks "Shall we go and see what lies beyond? And you kids? Are you with us?"
Buoyed with (over)confidence by the others' support of her plan and her success in setting the tripwire, Delvindra can't help but give Duwamilly a mischievous smile and a playful flick of her tail.
"Absolutely! Maybe we can come up with a few more unpleasant surprises for Firion."
She glances over at the others, her demeanor becoming more serious as her gaze finds Yasmina.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
After Al-Asfeh has reported in that he has found a suitable spotting position down the corridor and being ready to give his mistress a warning when the enemy is drawing near, the red-haired Half-Elf gives Delvindra as quick smile and a nod. "Sure, I will come too, someone has to make sure you set off any real death traps in this crypt." She says with a teasing smile before moving over to the back door to check it for traps.
Investigation: 9 Another roll if help is provided: 17 + Gnomish guidance if provided: 3
Delvindra, relieved that the tension between Yasmina and herself has passed (or perhaps it was less than Delvindra had made it out to be in her head?) gladly assists the Half-Elf as she checks the door for traps. Perhaps it isn't the best time to say what's on her mind but the Tiefling can't help but feel that there may not be another.
"You know, for someone who's so pessimistic about our prospects, you can be very judgemental when people try to put their affairs in order," she casts a quick glance at Duwamilly to make sure the Gnomish Preceptor is out of earshot.
"Of course I'm not going back to the monastery, even if we survive. I was just didn't want Milly to worry if she guessed my real meaning," she gives Yasmina a sad-eyed look, "or you for that matter. Though I suppose that I failed on both counts."
Seeming pleased that the Tiefling is quick to assist her, Yasmina keeps examining the door while listening to her assistant. "I'm sorry, I was too harsh on you but you had me a bit worried there..." The red-haired Half-Elf says quietly and briefly turns to give Delvindra an apologetic smile. "...I haven't intended to be pessimistic but there have been times that I have felt I have needed to remind some of the others in particular that this will not be a walk in the park, that is not saying I think anyone, least of all you, should need to set your affairs in order, I will take care of you Delvindra, I promise, assuming you will let me to and not opt to take on any ilmateri heroic suicidal shenanigans." She says, giving the Tiefling a quick teasing smile and a wink at the end.
"How about this," Delvindra responds with a playful edge to her voice, "I'll promise to stop acting like a martyr if you promise to stop trying to take care of me. I'm not exactly some damsel that needs protecting."
"How about you act like you will get through this and don't need any protection."The red-haired Half-Elf retorts and blows the Tiefling a playful raspberry. "You just send some of those fiery balls down the corridor and they will think twice about coming closer. If they do you just let Amir hold them off okay, he needs a bit of exercise and excitement in his dreary life anyway."She adds with a wink.
The door creaks, revealing a small staircase into a dark room. After a few moments, you realize what this second room was used for: it's an embalming chamber. Several large jars full of various preservative agents (and, before you ask, yes, several of those preservatives are highly flammable), a roughly human-sized stone table, and an embalming rack consisting of a metal grate over a large pit, which you can infer was likely used to drain fluids from the dead.
If you would like to find more, go ahead and give me an Investigation check.
I think it's safe to say that you probably got help on this check... and likely a bless from Milly as well. So feel free to roll an additional Investigation check and a d4
Duwamilly excitedly points her preceptorial wand towards the jars of flammable liquid: "Hey kids! Once again, curiosity has paid off! Look at all these interesting compounds... several of those condoms are highly flammable! They'll work even better than oil. Now we can add areas of flammable liquid to our defenses, just like Delvindra wanted to do!"
When the Accursed begin to search the room extensively, the gnome cleric regularly aids their attempts with cheerful prayers to Garl Glittergold.
[[ OOC: I read you had already taken it for granted... well done! ]]
Yasmina scrutinizes the room carefully. There are two large jars full of pitch that would be extremely useful for making the fire trap Delvindra mentioned, especially when combined with some of the other liquids in the room, and with the added benefit of making the ground a sticky mess that would be hard for the cultists to walk through quickly (a thick layer would create difficult terrain).
“It never ceases to amaze me, how resourceful you are, kids!” Duwamilly exclaims in admiration "The strange needle is apparently the most useful item for Delvindra... The wand of magic missiles can be used by everyone, so it should perhaps go to Cal or Zander, so they can attack not only in melee but also from range, for example while the enemies are dealing with Lord Amir, perhaps the giant snake, and the traps... Let's hope the mummy rot antidote aren't needed - anyone can keep them (maybe whoever doesn't get the wand) and if unfortunately some of us need them, we will use them as needed. The staff of the python could then perhaps be used by Yasmina, while I am maybe the one who would benefit the most from the amulet of the devout, +1. We should have enough time to attune".
"What do you think, kids?" the ex-preceptor asks the fellow Accursed "Works for you?"
[[ OOC: Plus, if, for convenience, we want to consider the assortment of gold and silver amulets monetized and divided immediately, the 1000gp obviously means 200gp for each of the 5 of us - useful for when we can go shopping again ]]
"As warriors, Zander and Cal are the ones most likely to have a run in with the mummies, so they should probably hold on to the potions," Delvindra offers while examining the needle, "what am I supposed to do with this?"

Zander will stand up, brush himself off and say "I'll go with you."

In addition, feeling the walls she comes across a hidden alcove that contains several treasure items (an amulet of the devout, +1, a wand of magic missiles, a strange needle, a staff of the python, two bottles of mummy rot antidote, and an assortment of gold and silver amulets which are probably worth around 1,000 gp total).
Yasmina shares with the others what she and Delvindra found.
