A lone adventurer arrives over the horizon, standing on a hill overlooking a nearby city. The place is a tiered affair, with the castle where the King and Queen reside sitting at the top tier of the city. The city itself is beautiful, and there seems to be no separation between the rich and the poor. From this distance, you cannot see much, but that people are intermingling and it doesn't seem to matter what they look like or who they are. Outside of the city, however, there is mass chaos and madness around every bend. People running for their very lives from a disparate evil, an evil whose only bounds seems to be the city itself, for there is no madness there.
It would be a beautiful day.
If there weren't monsters to slay in every nook and cranny of the hilltop.
(OOG: Not much more to say here until the adventure gets started. I am currently recruiting, but only looking for six players. Once those six players have joined, this session is private. I'm free every Sunday to do this, and I was thinking at around 2 pm. But I am still willing to talk over scheduling with each of the players I recruit for this.)
(OOG: Post by Post here. I don't have a good enough mic for Discord and if the adventure ends up running late into the night, I wouldn't be able to talk to you guys because the people I live with are incredibly sensitive and like to yell if their sleep is disrupted.)
I'd like to apply. Not sure whether to post in here or send you a PM, so sorry if you preferred a PM.
Character Name: Fiblitz
Race: Forest Gnome
Class: Ranger
Backstory:
Fiblitz spent his younger years as part of a squadron of soldiers in his clan specialized in combating the local goblin threat. They were trained in hostage rescue, spying, tracking, and hunting down the goblin menace and keeping them in check. Unfortunately for Fiblitz they joined forces with a local orc tribe and laid waste to his clan's forest, entirely destroying everything he ever knew. He fled for his life to the nearest town. He spends his days wandering from place to place looking for ways to make a coin or two to sustain his life, and he's always looking for opportunities to get back at goblins for what they did to his homeland.

DMing: Adventures in (and around) Houndstooth | Sellswords on the Endless Plains
I have joined with my character Tryn. If you would rather have others play you can always boot me in favor of them. In my defense I just followed the link, I wasn't intentionally trying to overstep. Thought it might be a first come, first serve sort of thing.
My character is Allure, Lawful Evil Warlock. He's a tiefling and a drama queen.
Backstory: Allure isn't my real name, although that depends, which name do you consider more real - the one bestowed upon you by people you don't even know or the one you choose? My detailed autobiography is one paragraph precisely: Let's see, was begat by a demon to a whore who died in childbirth. Was raised in a brothel. By whores. Hung out with lousy (but oh so fun) crowd. Was beaten in the streets a couple of times (damn you, horns). Got laid more than a couple of times (thanks, horns). Wanted to become a Wizard, got rejected. Made a pact with an eldricht being (whoops!) which was painful, but worth it. Now I'm just trying to figure out what to do with all that.
I will provide any and all addtional details on him if he interests you. I mostly roleplay and don't do hack'n'slash. I'm also available to post daily or several times a day if needed most of the time, at least for the next few months.
Class Rogue/ranger ( will multicass if we start at lvl 1)
Backstory:
The quiet and calm young elf was a mistery even for Fren’hyard. The rangers had found him almost ten years ago, near the bodys of his parents, killed by a party of raiding orcs of the Gwash tribe that were attacking the outskirts of Lyrengorn in the past few months. How he had survived was also a mistery, for the child barely spoke of it and no one was sure who killed the orcs that were found in the scene. Everyone assumed that it was the parents before dying, but Fren was starting to suspect that not all of the orcs were killed by the unfortunate couple.
The childhood of Lyn’daran wasn’t easy, for even in their community the child didn’t have anyone who care of him, so he was forced to steal sometimes to survive, and the few pockets of unsavory individuals in the city started to get a hold of him. At least it was the first impression when the guards caught him trying to steal some supplies from the wyvern rider’s barracks. But soon he lead the authorities towards the brain of the operation and tht led to more detentions. Now his mentor was sure that he let the guards capture him on porpuose, led them to the head to assure him a place among the scouts of Lyrengorn and, most of it, that he had learned of them what he needed.
In the following years, Lyn had excell at many disciplines, specially those who made him a more efficient hunter and killer. He rarely joined his companions in celebrations, and even when he did, he was alone, not really taking part of the fun and jokes. His sarcastic and black sense of humor combined with his reserved nature made him a solitary. Many thought that he didn’t care about his companions. In this they were also wrong.
Just a week ago a patrol of students were attacked and captured by a band of wandering goblinoids, led by an ogre. Many scouts and warriors were dispatched looking for them, even some wings of wyvern riders joined the search. Nobody paid attention to the lone student that left the barracks that night aremd with a longbow and a cold determination. For four days he followed a faint track that kept heading north into the Neverfields. He found the orcs and his ogre leader hiding in a ice cavern getting ready to kill the rest of their captives. He planted his arrows in the snow and called for the orcs. As they were emergin from the cave his arrows were killing them. Finally the ogre came out of the cave, and he led the mounstrosity to a crack in the ice he had discovered. Lured the ogre to its edge and made him fall on it. Firing his last two arros to the knee and talon of the ogre he left it at the bottom of the crack, were a pack of dire wolves killed and devoured the ogre. He witnessed it until the end. Two days later the scouts found him almost freezed, for he had lend his cape to one of the survivors, guiding them back to safety. “ They are my brothers, my clan” he replied as only explanation for his acts.
Now, with his face tattoed as a full member of the scouts, Lym’daran were standing in front of his former master and mentor Fren’hyard, but for all his quiet demeneaor and for his cold blood killing their enemies, he was confident that the young elf will die before let any threat to the Elvenspeak come closer to it. He lend his weapons to Lyn who accepted them with a solemn nod. He knew how important this was to him. He was finally accepted as one of them. He had, again, a familiy.
(OOG: To everyone who has been looking forwards to this and signed up, I apologize for the lack of care this has been paid. Since the last few updates, my grandma got into an accident in my vehicle. It was the other party’s fault so I’ve been dealing with their insurance for the last three weeks trying to get the payment they owe me so that Ican pay off the new car I was forced to get because of the accident. I also don’t have a pc right now as my boyfriend is visiting family and took our laptop with him so he would have something to do while at his family’s. I am hoping to get this startedonce he’s back and all the insurance is taken care of. But I am not sure when the insurance stuff is gonna be over and done with.)
i would like to join with my Ranger. Ive played dnd for 5 years. so I know the rules and how things work. Im 22 years old and live in Central time zone America.
