The tiefling woman stirs with a moderately loud moan of pain. She scrambles up shakily into a kneeling position, holding her head.
She is wearing a sturdy travellers coat with a high collar and goggles that hide her eyes somewhat and a red scarf with strange black symbols that is now dripping wet, her hair that is smudged with mud, like the scarf, dripping wet.
You remember her from the voyage as Korbiña, a travelling scribe and probably a wielder of magic, judging from the crooked staff with the pinkish crystal the always carried around and the raven that accompanied her. Both are nowhere to be seen at the moment...
Karran keeps himself at the ready, watching intently the roiling waves crashing against the riverbank and feeling the splashes of water against his face. Karran is ready to strike anything that threatens the party from the river.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
The elven man resting on the riverbank stirs, convulsing as he coughs up the river water he swallowed when the vessel capsized. Daelen, the boatswain of the vessel hacks and coughs the last of the river from his lungs, hocking and spitting as he crawls to his feet. Suddenly consumed with panic, he calls it, "The ship! What's of the ship?!" He sees Karran staring at the rushing water and stomps over to him, enraged. He finds upon his person a belaying pin he keeps tied crossbow and grips it shaking it violently at the burly man "what are you staring at? What's happened to the ship?!"
Intimidation: 15
Without awaiting and answer, he wades into the water searching for the flotsam that will confirm his fears that the ship has been wrecked beyond repair.

"I'm only gonna say this once elf, point that bow away from me! The boat crashed and is nearly sunken, you and the tiefling, Korbiña, we're thrown overboard.. We found you just now but only a moment ago and that is when there was an unusual splashing of water in the river. So... If you're that eager to point your bow at something, point it towards the water. 'Cause somethings there under the water." Karran tries to look through the roiling waves for the humanoid. *a belaying pin is functionally a club, an improvised weapon but also a useful tool for fastening ropes aboard a ship.
Belaying pins were a favored weapon among mariners of Evermeet.

As Karran sees this he reacts quickly and looks around for a bundle of rope.
Investigation: 15 As he finds the rope he wraps the other end of the rope to his waist and throws the other end to Daelen and shouts: "Here! Grab a hold! Don't lose it!"
Hey, I think there's been some confusion. I think people thought I became the DM. I was only introducing my character (water druid who can transform into a merman), and I think people assumed that me asking for perception checks meant I was the DM. If the original DM is still running this campaign, great, otherwise I'm already running 3 campaigns, and have not idea what this one was originally about.
No.

Suddenly, you all see another ripple in the water. A gold dragonborn body, floating out in the water, appears to be pulling away from the ship.

Is the DM still running this game?
Wondering if this was meant to be a West Marches style campaign. Multiple DMs, etc.
Are we going to continue this game or call it quits?
