5e has some incredible flexibility. If you look at the rules solely based on the mechanics and remove the flavor of fantasy, I believe it can be used essentially as written for nearly any genre.
Anyone open to running a Young Justice-style superhero campaign. Relatively low level (1st?) where our characters are young superheroes fresh on the scene.
The idea here is that we’re not making any significant alterations to the rules, just reflavoring to fit the genre. So my armor might be a more modern protective covering and my crossbow might be a rifle. My wizard might be an actual wizard or perhaps their “spells” are gadgets that they put together when they prepare them.
Anyone game?
