Over the past three days the others may have noticed her slipping off into the night, and perhaps even seen her return wiping blood off her face. She has been hunting various animals to satisfy her craving for blood, and if anyone confronted her about it she would not have tried to hide what she was doing.
When they reach the town, Veronica looks at the dreary setting uneasily.
"I suppose we could start at the tavern..." she says. "I have heard that is often the best place to find information."
{DM note: A quick clarification, the journey took 1 and a half hours. Not 3 days.}

(Oh... I guess I should have read that more carefully. I'll go ahead and edit my post...)
"I suppose we could start at the tavern..." she says. "I have heard that is often the best place to find information."
"I'd take a guess to that sounding correct. I have no clue wether to go to Bildrath's after this, but the church seems like a place we could find further information, and the Burgomaster's manor is a must-go. If these prophecies are true, we may as well follow them..."
She never says anything about this, but she feels like there are three places in this town that were told by prophecies: The Burgomaster's manor, the house of a saint (being the church to the north), and then the house of corruption.

Look what you've done, spoiling it for you and everyone who can see this screen. You're a disgrace, you know that, right? You have nothing to be ashamed of but yourself, you moster!
But to be completely fair, every monster has a cute side, like have you seen people draw goblins? Goblins look so cool! You're fine, you may seem like a monster, but I bet you're cute on the inside!
Skanon hesitated to speak as he heard the sobbing in the distance, the urge to check it out and see if there was anything that could be done to assist the person was heavy in his mind but he pushed it back as he listened to Veronica and Victoria. He nodded slightly as he thought about the mentioned prophecies. "The tavern, the church and the Burgomaster's manor... those seem like the logical places to start with. A-after we're done checking those places out for information maybe we could investigate the sobbing? Although it is entirely possible that it could be coming from the Burgomaster's manor."
"Marta, I suppose we'll be heading to this tavern. Unless for some strange reason you want to accompany us, we'll bid you our, possibly temporary, farewells."

Marta shook her head at Vicky’s invitation. “Our family’s path brings us out of Barovia for now. Fate willing, we may meet again when the four of us return to Lord Strahd’s lands.”
The party headed to the tavern.
Above the tavern’s gaping doorway, a sign hung precariously askew, proclaiming the establishment to be the “Blood on the Vine” tavern. A closer view revealed the sign originally read “Blood of the Vine”, but had been vandalized with an “n” scratched over the “f”.
Inside, you could see the once finely appointed locale was much diminished from years of under-maintenance. Dirty threadbare rugs covered the floor and the finely carved furniture were cracked and in need of new varnish. A blazing fire in the hearth gave scant warmth to the few huddled souls within.
A pudgy little barkeep mindlessly cleaned glasses behind his bar and ignored you as you entered.
One table hosted three Vistani women in similar bright clothing as those you met at the camp. They were armed with shortswords and crossbows which were displayed prominently, and paid as much attention to you as the barkeep.
A young man with curly white hair that stopped short of his shoulders sat in a corner sipping wine by himself. He waved at you as you entered and said, “Welcome to Barovia friends! You look new in town, I am Ismark Kolyanovich. Come! Join me. Let me buy you a round.”

Ireena Kolyana
Vicky looks in the direction the man, sceptically. Can she trust him? Insight: 17.
"Kolyanovich? Hm, that sounds familiar... Is that the Burgomaster's son? It might be a strech, but Kolyana and Kolyanovich..." This is only to the party.

Skanon takes a moment to think about the similarities between the names before hesitantly giving Vicky a nod. "It's a possibility that he could be, or he might be a nephew. Not entirely sure, but it wouldn't hurt to see what the young man has to say. And while we don't necessarily know him... he did just offer to buy us a round so there's a chance that he's not that bad." He replied in a low whisper. After a couple of seconds he returned the wave with a small hint of a smile.
Rolling for Ismark's Persuasion/Deception. It'll be Persuasion if he's telling the truth and Deception if he is lying. Vicky will know if her Insight beats this roll.
Vicky goes up to the man, Ismark, and introduces herself.
"It's Vicky, Vicky Traakimash. You are, by far, honest. Is there anything you want from us?", if none of the group is close enough to hear, I quietly add in, "Vicky Traakimash of the Tainted Woods, I'm more local than them."
When it comes to the round of drinks we're ordering, Vicky only takes cider, the fruitier the better. Vicky is currently questioning the need to tell the party that she's a Barovian. 20 being "tell them", and 1 being "don't tell them", Vicky's urge to tell them is: 19.

With a look of distaste at the run down surroundings, Garavon takes a slow look around at the patrons. "Have you melomel, good Ismal? Or is Kolyanovich the correct appellation? We are strangers here, as you might have guessed."

“Please. Call me Ismark,” said Ismark Kolyanovich to Garavon, “I would love nothing more than to offer you a drink of your choice my good sir. Alas, the devil Strahd has sealed Barovia to the outside world and we only have a local wine to offer.”
“Arik! A pitcher of wine for our table!” Ismark called out to the barkeep, who paused his wineglass cleaning long enough to fill a pewter vessel from a cask with a deep red liquid. Arik left the pitcher on the bar and returned to cleaning his glasses emotionlessly. Ismark hurried over to him, left a silver piece on the bar and returned to his table with the pitcher and several empty glasses.
Upon Ismark mentioning the devil Strahd, you notice the 3 Vistani women at the other table glancing in Ismark's direction, ready to eavesdrop on any further conversation. Their attempts to feign disinterest do not escape your elvish eyes.
Vicky smiles at the sound of the pitcher tapping the table, almost immediately pouring a glass for herself, taking small sips every so often. She's not quite sure about the taste of the wine, not after growing used to the horrible quality of her father's homemade cider. Multiple times Vicky is forced to stop Latagu from trying to drink the wine.
"Garavon, Gaelyn, Veronica, Skanon, on our way out of here, I must talk to you, but not yet.
However, on another note, I may be unable to start some chat, so please, someone, go ahead. Anything but the secret I mentioned."

"Sealed," Garavon queries. "Not wholly. My companions and I find ourselves here by accident. By chance we entered Barovia last night, and spent the night in camp of Rhee... I mean Vistani."
Garavon takes a sip of the wine, and grimaces at its taste.
Skanon gives Vicky a slight nod before carefully poured himself a glass of wine. He was just about to say something when Garavon spoke up, he fell quite and took a sip of the wine. It was certainly different from what he was use to but it wasn't the worst thing he'd ever drank. "Maybe we stumbled upon a crack or break in the seal and unfortunately managed to slip through it?" In his mind that seemed like a logical possibility but it probably wasn't something so trivial that had brought them all here.
He takes another sip of the wine and gives a slight shrug before looking towards Ismark with a curious expression.
