Trill drums out a rising three note pattern on her drum that her companions would know serves as a non-verbal agreement, as opposed to a descending two beat negative.

Looking to Tsu, Gerien asks, "So...if anyone were inclined to bring things back into order around here, where would you suggest they begin?"
"That's a good question." Tsu says thoughtfully. She hesitates as though gathering and organizing her thoughts. "Well... The Soggy Court in Downfall may know something, they crave gossip over anything. They're bullywugs and they're not usually violent, at least not with outsiders, last I heard they've gone through 10 monarchs in the past year. But as long as you're not trying to overthrow their king or queen you should be alright. The only thing... Downfall is where Bavlorna has her hut. If you do head that way, just be careful you don't offend her."
((Just a bump before this thread falls off the 'posts within the last month'. Hoping that things align for this to resume. Will have to chalk Trill up a cursed character concept otherwise! :P Hope you're all doing well.))

Seemingly in response to Gerien's words, the inn stops again, settling down on it's legs. Outside the inn, through the windows, the fog shifts for a second and you can see the tower you spotted earlier, rising out of the swamp at such an odd angle, that it threatens to keel over. You catch a glimpse of a large woven basket hanging off the side of the tower at the end of a tangle of ropes and tattered fabric, a now-limp hot air balloon hanging down the side of the tower, swaying gently in the wind.
Trill points at the downed balloon, capering in excitement as she sounds off with some happy notes, thinking for sure they'd abandoned their initial direction when they stopped at the inn, only to have it deliver them where they were heading. The feywild is truly wondrous!

This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Gerien senses Trill's excitement about the unexpected appearance of the balloon, and he makes some quip about the good fortune of eating and traveling simultaneously.
"Let's see what we can see, friends,"remarks Gerien. He then approaches the leaning tower and balloon. (Perception: 23)
((I know she'd have to get closer to be able to see much of anything, but would any of Trill's proficiencies in Navigator's Tools or Vehicles (water) carry over to insights about a wrecked balloon?))

((I know she'd have to get closer to be able to see much of anything, but would any of Trill's proficiencies in Navigator's Tools or Vehicles (water) carry over to insights about a wrecked balloon?))
(Yeah, you would be familiar with the basic concepts of it, and how it works, that kind of thing)
As the three of you exit the inn, it lifts again and sets off, trudging away to the north. The sounds of it sloshing off are quickly muffled by the fog. The silence is broken by the faint creaking of the basket hanging from crenellations of the tower. Black brambles surround the base of the tower and cling to its lower half. The tower itself is 50 feet tall and 20 foot in diameter. As you're approaching the brambles, you hear a faint whisper coming from the basket above.
Looking down into the basket, Trill can see a dead bullywug, with its head at an odd angle. At the bottom of the basket, a silver birdcage lies on its side. Inside the birdcage sits a rather tired, but proud looking faerie dragon with violet scales that seem a little worse for wear. The dragon looks up as you land, his face appears more human than you might expect, sporting a handlebar mustache. Adding to the anthropomorphic effect is the fact that he is wearing gauntlets and a belt from which hangs a fancy, but tiny sword. His voice is surprisingly deep, though he speaks in hushed tones, but with a rich cultured accent.
"Hello, friend, I’m in a bit of a bind, as you can observe. I, Sir Talavar, as one of the Summer Queen’s loyal servants, ask that you free me. You see, I was in the midst of a daring escape from the vile Bavlorna Blightstraw when our balloon was set upon by an ill wind and sent plummeting to its current unfortunate location. My pilot, the honorable Wigglewog, did not survive. I’ve been trapped up here for a while now. Help me. I must tell my queen of the fall of Prismeer!"
"We must be quiet however, as two serpents are asleep in the brambles, just outside the tower door. If you awaken them, they might put the squeeze on you, or worse, devour me."
"The right thing to do, and a thing that probably needs doing. Better to do it yourself to make sure it gets done right, right?" Joy smiles at her.

Looking to Tsu, Gerien asks, "So...if anyone were inclined to bring things back into order around here, where would you suggest they begin?"
"Order may be restrictive when taken too far, but complete chaos isn't the freedom that many think it will be.", Trill lectures in a chiding tone.

Trill's comment causes a wry smile to cross Gerien's face. "Well said, Trill. We seek balance then."
Trill preens a bit at Gerien's praise, "Any thoughts on where to start?"

"The Soggy Court," repeats Gerien. "Thank you, Tsu. Your food and advice have been worth our while here."
The centaur then looks at Trill and Joy, indicating his readiness to move along.

Trill stands up on Gerien's back, and activates her roc feather, leaping into the air and flying up to the basket, hovering a short distance away.
"Oi, what's all this then?", she asks in a gruff voice of the basket's occupant.

Gerien, firmly upon the ground, keeps a hand on the hilt of his sword in case anything goes awry.
Trill gives a calming casual whistle, she's not sure who the person in the basket is, and doesn't want to be mistaken for a bird of prey.
