OOC So the party accepts her tools boon but that only leaves 2 gold left over so no 30 gold instead.
But they are ready to go! RP
River gives Avery 2 gold and everyone else the equipment needed. Avery and Doc would know this is.. Compassionate by academy standards and not the style they usually run by wasting resources on people without knowing if they are useful or loyal. Why would she do this than? She flickers her tail looking to them all.
"Do stay safe, and always prepare accordingly. Also.. you're continued discretion ensures you're continued employment. We don't need Emberwood to know the academy is active again."
Though the party isn't exactly quiet.. and River parts ways for a second time. They eventually make it to their destination. Through the crumbling streets of Drakkenheim and the thick haze makes it hard to breath. It's foggy and they can hear a dog barking every once in awhile far in the distance.
The Rat’s Nest Tavern lies on the mud-slick and rubble-strewn Scrag Lane south of Shepherd’s Way, nestled between ramshackle tenements and crumbling flats. The original tavern has been almost entirely obliterated, and the neighboring buildings are heavily damaged. What remains are stone foundations piled with debris. The first-floor walls stand about chest high, a few supporting timbers splayed outward like a burst ribcage. The rooftop and upper levels have entirely collapsed into a mist-covered crater filled with rubble. The original tavern sign juts out obliquely from a building on the opposite side of the street. It is engraved with a smiling, obese rat laying on a plate of food.
OOC And a fair reminder one more time that selling is half value of the players handbook. So selling a longsword is 7 gold and 5 silver just wanna make sure that isn't lost in translation.
The rubble outside the tavern itself appears to have nothing of note and they hears nothing inside the tavern itself.
Inside the tavern..The stone walls of the basement are scorched and blackened. Rubble and debris surround a muddy crater fifteen feet wide and five feet deep. A faint glimmer of octarine light twinkles within. This light is the sorta thing Doc and Ayst were looking for.
Two Delirium chips lay inside the crater. Doc does notice however something else with his perception check.
A burrowed passage being hidden by a heavy dresser of sorts. (DC 10 athletics to move the dresser)
OOC The rubble on the way to the trip was what the checks of treasure were for. They find nothing in the rubble on the way. As for the rubble here I have that in the post above ^^
Delirium sold at Emberwood is sold at half value. So a chip is worth 10 gold but without finding or earning a proper contact. Will only sell for 5 gold per chip.
Though with large enough size and the proper hunting finding the right buyer becomes easier the larger the Delirium.
Cool. He thanks her for the money and the tools. He would take one set of gloves and tools.
