Both skeleton and gnoll endure the hit, but the skeleton is clearly on its last legs. Literally, as one of them has been blown clean off and clatters to the depths below. The other gnoll, however... this thing at first glance looks like an ordinary gnoll, as bestial and inhuman as that is, but now that Veldruk is right up in its face he can see that it is far larger, far shaggier, hunched over, with slavering jaws and needlelike teeth. A gnoll is somewhere between man and hyena, and this thing is far more the latter than the former. This hit has damaged it, certainly, but it is far from finished.
The monsters let fly.
The skeletal gnoll swings at Veldruk twice with its spiked club, but the drow warrior expertly parries both hits, bits of discarded teeth flying off out of the gnarled wood of the weapon.
The shortsword-wielding gnolls charge in, blood-flecked slaver dripping from their jaws as they pounce. The first jumps on Fay, ripping and tearing at him. Luckily, even confused as he is, his chain mail does most of the work. A few teeth make it past the rings, but their are absorbed by the thick cloth beneath, ultimately failing to deal any damage.
Ursi is not so lucky. The gnoll's jaws sink into their flesh and they scream in pain, batting at it as blades sink into their belly again and again. Ursi is alive, but barely.
With fighting back the only option Ursi has, they draw a shortsword and stab it into the gnoll's spine, landing one solid hit. (Both Ursi and the gnoll rolled a crit, wow.)
The arrows begin to rain. The gnoll Kirna struck rushes after her, but finds Fay in the way. It jabs its spear into his chest, piercing through his armor and landing solidly in his sternum. Blood sprays from his mouth as he nearly collapses, thoroughly bloodied. An arrow buries itself in Thun's shoulder, and she nearly falls. Another flies at the dwarf, but clatters into the earth, missing.
But the arrows keep coming. Two more fly at Fay, and one hits him in the back of the neck, protruding from his throat. He goes down and stops moving. One strikes Dondeir, just a flesh wound, but the nobleman is clearly hurt. One of the archers splits its attacks, one at Ursi and one at the bandaged monk. Ursi thankfully stays up, but the monk is not so lucky, taking three damage as an arrow slices past his arm. (If you choose, you may use your reaction to catch it, taking no damage since the minimum damage you can deflect is 9, and throw it at a foe within 60 feet with disadvantage, due to engagement with the gnoll that struck Ursi.)
Fay's turn comes and goes. He oozes red.
Dondeir panics and shuffles around his supplies. He pulls out a flask of something orange and glowing, throwing it at the monstrous gnoll. It bursts against its feet, setting the ground ablaze, but fails to set it ablaze.
Telvoril manages to keep a slightly more steady head, and repositions. He raises his new staff and flames erupt from it at the hulking gnoll and its skeletal companion. The skeleton instantly goes down, and the large gnoll fails to dodge as well, taking the full force of the flames.
As the ambush ensues, Nodjeim leaps to his feet with grace and speed not seen from him previously. Ursi would likely be flabbergasted if she was not so wounded already. Even as he reached for his spear Nodjeim spied the arrow heading for him. A slight shifting of his feet and a pivot to the right allows him to deflect it harmlessly away with the shaft of the spear. (No throwing it back, ki pts too precious right now.)
Immediate threat being immediate, Nodjeim then thrusts his spear out at the Gnoll currently in melee range of Ursi and himself. After attempting to stick it with the pointy end Nodjeim then uses that momentum to spin himself around and land a spinning kick to the creatures ribs before following up with an uppercut to it's muzzle. (Spear attack then Flurry of blows for a ki point.)
Spear Attack: 14 to hit for 8 piercing damage. Flurry of Blows, 1st Attack: 24 to hit for 9 bludgeoning damage. Flurry of Blows, 2nd Attack: 27 to hit for 8 bludgeoning damage.
"You're hurt. Take cover. Stay down!" Nodjeim insists to Ursi and if the first Gnoll still stands then Nodjeim does what he can to interpose himself between it and Ursi. If the Gnoll has fallen then the monk uses it's movement to move to the next creature on the east close to their wagon...

We're doing one small murder-y thing for a bigger, better reason. The ends justify the means.
Threlan stands atop the cart, surveying the battlefield. She takes note of the chaos, until her eyes land on Dondier.
"Take heart, you will not perish, you hired me for a reason, after all." she shouts to Dondier as she casts healing word at 1st level for 7 HP of healing. She then leaps off the cart and runs up to Veldruk (using 4 squares of movement), casts invisibility on him, then backs up towards wagon next to Olan (using 2 squares of movement)
"Quite a kerfuffle isn't all this? If only we could have talked, I'm sure we could have come to an agreement." she laughs, drawing her rapier in case of needing to make an opportunity attack.

Hi, I'm Raccoon_Master,The Rocket Raccoon/Trashcan Tactician (as appointed by Drummer). Pronouns They/Them/Theirs.
My Characters: Brorminthe Crusher; Discoverythe Keeper; Theathe Scoundrel; Jorvirthe Weaver; Threlan,the Speaker; Zolyathe Inspired; Penley the Devourer;
Nodjeim takes the gnoll down with several well-placed blows (second unarmed blow did it, but unfortunately the way flurry of blows works is that they all come out at once, so one attack is wasted.)
The gnoll directly to the east is currently 60 feet up, Nodjeim. With your movement you could climb 20 feet up the cliff and be able to hit it with your sun bolt next turn after moving another 10 feet up the cliff, but that might leave you exposed to being pushed off. You can also position yourself to engage with the beastly gnoll that's currently fighting Verdruk, or just move north and be able to engage with the gnolls up north after moving again next turn. Up to you.

Hi, I'm Raccoon_Master,The Rocket Raccoon/Trashcan Tactician (as appointed by Drummer). Pronouns They/Them/Theirs.
My Characters: Brorminthe Crusher; Discoverythe Keeper; Theathe Scoundrel; Jorvirthe Weaver; Threlan,the Speaker; Zolyathe Inspired; Penley the Devourer;
Veldruk shimmers and fades from view, and Olan feels bolstered as the beastly gnoll approaches. It runs straight past Veldruk, provoking an opportunity attack, and around Threla, provoking opportunity attacks from Olan and Thomir. Thomir's lands, but the beast's hide simply absorbs the blow.
Veldruk, if you would like, you can make an opportunity attack. This will, however, dispel your invisibility with the benefit of granting advantage on the attack. Olan, you may also make an opportunity attack, and can expend your bardic inspiration to gain its benefits.
The gnoll first lashes out at Dondeir with sickle-like claws. His guts spray across the wagon as the gnoll's hand plunges deep into his torso, punching through his metal breastplate like it was paper. The gnoll cackles, a horrible, garbled thing, and jumps at Olan, attempting to sink its teeth into him, but fails. It attacks again, seemingly spurred on by its bloodlust, this time going for Threla. Its teeth sink into her flesh, and she takes 11 piercing damage and must make a Constitution Saving Throw.
Thun stands and begins hobbling over to the injured Threla, but the arrow's barbs make her scream in pain whenever she moves, and she cannot reach the elf. Instead, she mutters a prayer and holds her hand in the air, catching a mote of glowing, sacred light. She groans, "Come to me if you wish to be healed, I cannot get to you."
(Mechanically, she is readying an action to cast cure wounds with the specific trigger of: When a friendly character who is missing hit points comes within range. She is currently positioned in such a way that Threla would have to leave the gnoll's reach in order to get to her, but she may do so without risking an opportunity attack, as the gnoll has used its reaction already.)
Thomir closes on the gnoll, fully encircling it, and slices at it with his axe, but the thing catches it in a claw and casts the blade away.
Olan, you're up! Fefir's turn is skipped because he was surprised.
Round 2: (this will take place after Olan's turn, but I'm just getting it in place so things can move quick and people can state their actions even if Vedar doesn't come online before you're available)
Kirna, backed into a corner, runs into the gnolls and stabs at them twice, then kicks dust in their eyes and scrambles away, tears beginning to form as she leaves her husband's body to the monsters. One strike lands, but the gnoll shrugs it off.
She changes place with Chakka, who slashes twice at the injured gnoll and finishes it off.
Evelyn and Veldruk, you may post your actions, but their resolution will wait until Olan's turn.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Olan's sword sails into the Beast's hide. His aim is true. His blade is sharp.
It doesn't even make a mark.
You've seen this thing take damage, from both mages' spells, but Olan's blade seems entirely useless. There's a way to hurt this thing, but it's not with mundane arms.
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
Evelyn watches, horrified, as Fay goes down in a hail of arrows. The chaos rages on, and Dondeir goes down too. This is very, very bad, the wizard thinks to herself, trying to contain her own fear. Kirna runs away from her husband's body, leaving Chakka engaging one of the gnolls. There are also still the gnolls on the cliff above raining arrows of death down upon them. Chakka needs her help, she decides.
Evelyn recited the incantation and moved her hands to shape the Weave into three rays of fire, sending one toward the gnoll Chakka was engaging, and the other two to the gnolls on the cliff who had murdered Fay.
After unleashing her fiery barrage, she hops down out of the wagon and takes cover on the western side of it, hoping it will offer some protection against the gnolls on the cliff.

There was a moment of surprise when he noticed how perfectly his blade found its way between the bones, but before Veldruk could think about it came the attack. He parried the strikes with his shield, moving in response to the gnoll’s lashes. His taunt seemed to have worked, at least keeping the living enemy around. Then came the loud noise and his body disappeared. Instinct took hold of his mind, telling him he was unhurt, just invisible. One of his allies was likely to have landed him a hand, made one of his attacks easier to hit.
The larger enemy seemed to just accept he was no longer there and ran straight to the carts. Unseen, the drow tried to catch it with a cut, but he didn’t move fast enough. The attempt put his closest companions on his field of view, one of them dangerously hurt. Not thinking twice, the warlock moved in their direction, making a new attempt against the enemy. Part of him wanted to use Booming Blade, but it would counterproductive. He wanted, after all, to have the creature move and focus on him.
“Anyone too hurt, disengage! Under the carts!” Veldruk shouted catching a glimpse of Dondeir’s wounds, ignorant of the fact that someone had already fallen.
Notes: Veldruk took the attack of opportunity with advantage and rolled a 1 and 2. He gets closer of the enemy attacking our bard and rolls a 7 (15 total). In the off-chance he hit, thanks to Pact Weapon, he would deal 1d8+6 slashing damage (I didn't rolled because I'm counting on a miss, but feel free to roll it, Humbug). As always, all rolls made on the campaign log.
(wow, you are just getting banjaxed by the dice, my fellows)
One of Evelyn's rays hit, scorching a gnoll on the cliffside. The rest fly wide. Meanwhile, Veldruk's strikes simply cannot seem to land, as slash after slash is deflected, the last just missing by a hair in a quite literal sense, as it clips the fur off of the top of the beastly gnoll's head.
Seeing the unarmored mage slinging powerful magic and having a competent warrior facing it down, the gnoll engaged with Chakka makes the executive decision to instead go after Evelyn, despite the danger of the Thri-Kreen. The gythka sings, clipping off a chunk of its ear as it pounces on the young mage, clambering over the panicking horse. Its jaws narrowly miss her neck, but the blades dig into her legs as the hyena-man swings low. She takes 11 piercing damage from two hits.
Somehow still alive, Ursi takes cover behind the cart (half cover) and looses two arrows. One lands, but it is a glancing blow.
The arrow storm resumes. The first hits Evelyn, just barely piercing her mage armor, dealing 6 more piercing damage. Evelyn is not looking good. The second fails to put down the ever-persistent Ursi Chatragi. At this rate I kinda don't want to kill them. But I will.
The next arrows sail into Chakka, both landing solidly, but the Thri-Kreen has endured worse. Aiming to soften her up, two arrows head Threla's way, but the DM is only good at killing NPCs, it seems. Finally, to test that theory, One arrow flies Ursi's way, the other aimed at young Master Steelhorn. This archer has seen the bandaged man catch an arrow already, and figures that aiming for less dexterous targets would be a better option. Ursi's eyes fill up with red as the arrow pierces their temple, and they go down with a blood-flecked burble. Telvoril cries out in pain, but survives the assault.
Nodjeim continues to climb the cliff (they sent me their action before going to bed) and grapples with one of the gnoll hunters, attempting to shove them over the side of the cliff. The battle of will and strength is close, but ultimately comes out with the monk as the victor. The gnoll barks in pain as it sails to the earth below, landing prone and heavily damaged, but regrettably still alive. One good blow seems like it will be enough to finish it off, though.
(Oh my lord, this guy is in perfect position to just go on a shove rampage, isn't he... as a reminder, an unarmed strike can be a shove.)
The young mage, seeing that his magic has harmed the beast before, puts two and two together and sends a blast of pure magical force its way, which unfortunately only sails into the cliffside. He then moves into cover behind the carts.
Threla, you're up! You're currently engaged with the beast gnoll, but it currently does not have a reaction, and thus you may move out of its range safely. As a reminder, Thun is currently holding a readied action to cast cure wounds, which is definitely of interest to your bruised body.
Current Map:
Also, a report of the condition of everyone in the battle:
(if not mentioned, they're fine or dead)
Chakka: below max Evelyn: bloodied Remaining flesh gnawer: below max Northernmost gnoll hunter: below max Southernmost gnoll hunter: death's door, prone Threla: decently below max Telvoril: decently below max Beast gnoll: below max Thun: bloodied
Something I totally forgot to do at the top of the round: rolling for the horses panicking.
The first, third, and fourth horses start whinnying and clopping about, and the cart carrying the beastly gnoll begins to move, slowly at first, but it will likely pick up if the horse has space to move. The horse in the front starts forward, and the cart carrying Juen's corpse starts down the road, also slow at first, but as the horse keeps up speed it rolls at a dangerous pace out and off the map.

Threla will back up, blocking with her rapier, as she moves towards Thun for healing (Can I reach her on this turn? I'm not sure which token she is).

Also, a report of the condition of everyone in the battle:

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Also: Chakka loses concentration on the spell magic weapon, unfortunately.

"Ignorance is bliss, and you look absolutely miserable."
Threla will back up, blocking with her rapier, as she moves towards Thun for healing (Can I reach her on this turn? I'm not sure which token she is). She shouts to Evelyn "Remember the yeti fight!" recalling a scene in one of her tales, which fills Evelyn with a warmth as Threla casts healing word at 2nd level for 7 HP of healing.
