"Ah, Johann." The attendant seems to tick something on the same sheet. "Looks like the two of you are in the same district, you may be in the same missions together." She looks between Johann and Akaas. "We'll come and let you know when induction begins."
(Just for note, induction is basically when the campaign will be kicking off, so there is some time while we're waiting for the final confirmations of party members. Feel free to discuss things and have a bit of chat with one another, or with NPCs who are also here for their induction.)
Kithre slides over one spot to the person talking to everyone. "Ah yes, sorry. Kithre Cherrycheeks!" she says happily, presenting her parchment to the woman.
The attendant scratches off another name. "Here we are, Miss Cherrycheeks." She looks over to the halfling. "Thanks for waiting, it shouldn't be too much longer until initiation."
The attendant looks through the sheets, then skims through again. "Ah, yes. We don't have a surname for you, Miss Borg." The attendant says, ticking the lists.
The largest Dragonborn you've ever seen arrives, staring agape at the floating tiles lifting him. He steps off the lift with the invitation crumpled in his hand, staring at it and mouthing the words carefully to himself.
He looks up and sees the display around him and is momentarily stunned, slowly processing the grandeur that he is unaccustomed to. He swallows nervously, unsure of what to do next.
Scanning the crowd, he spots Chetin and his holy symbol. With a sigh of relief, he approaches the cleric.
"Ex-cuse me, Justice. Is this where we sposed to be for..."(he focuses on his invitation) "...in-duck-shun?"
"Oh! Hi Johann! She was actually a prize in my College for an all-around musical competition. There were many bards participating in the challenge and as the victor I won this lovely piece. She really plays nicely, but I've been told that anyone that hasn't spent substantial time with her gets pretty nasty mental pain spikes if they try playing the strings." she says, grinning like a fool that someone recognized the beauty of her instrument.
(is it just me or do we have a grog in our midst :))
"sweet vandria this place is cool!" a voice exclaims, suddenly appearing next to you. It's source is a short youth with bright red hair, a shabby dark grey over his shoulders. His clothes and leather armour are all very worn and dirty, patches and tears showing all over. A film of dust covers his whole person, obscuring any details you might be pick out. As he moves his shaggy hair out of his face a pointed ear pokes out. The smile that could only belong to a jevenile radiates from face and rust coloured eyes glisten amongst the grease smudges.
He has seemingly appeared from nowhere, none of you heard any sound of his arrival. As he walks amongst you, spinning as he looks up at the ceiling, his feet seem to make no noise as they tread.
"im starting to like my choice! So what do we do now we're here?"
He seems to be talking to no one and everyone at the same time
(sorry for not coloring my speach but I'm on my phone)
Johann waves down the new arrival, and points to the desk. Then he turns back to Kithre asking, "I hope this isn't too forward, but would you mind playing? I would like to try something out."
This post has potentially manipulated dice roll results.
"Of course I wouldn't mind playing! Let me do one of my warm-up songs."she says before she pulls the lute off her back and starts to strum a well-known tune about a little boy that found a golden apple. It's jaunty and peppy, the type most folk would dance to.
As Borg walks into the room, her large frame catches Akaas's attention. "Hello, friend," the old halfling says, raising a hand to get the half-orc's attention. He pats the seat next to his in invitation and smiles. "My name is Akaas. Are you also a new recruit?"
Chetin was about to talk to the clerk until the dragonborn came to talk to him, asking him if this is the in duck shun? "Oh, do you mean induction? If you are, then this is the desk for it. We just need to tell them our names, sir." He gestures to the desk's clerk. He looks to the clerks, "Good morrow, my name is Chetin Humb, Cleric of Bahamut. Glad to be of service to the Seven Saints."
While Kithre plays, Johann takes a hold of the large crystal hanging from his neck, and makes a hand motion reminiscent of a conductor. With that, the sound of a flute joins in with Kithre's playing. (DC 13 Investigation)
The room goes quiet as Kithre begins to platy her lute, the melody catching the ears of all in the hallway, even those who are just passing through, going from one place to another slow their busy paces to an amble to catch the extra few notes of the song before it finishes. There is an applause from those hanging around as the story comes to an end.
"Thank you for the opportunity to try that out. I've always wanted to use that spell. You play beautifully by the way," says Johann as Kithre finishes.

The Dragonborn approaches the sign in table.
"Hullo. I am Brazzak Ginth. Is this where I'm sposed to be?"
He holds out the ring he was given, on a string of leather.
"I have a ring, but it dint fit. Sorry 'bout that."
