playing Jin Wei, human (Kara-tur) way of the Four Elements Monk in the Princes of the Apocalypse
The other passenger in the wagon reveals her reddish skin from her dark grey cloak, "Fate and destiny, eh? Those are an interesting choice of words. It suggests a transformation of sorts, yes? Why, that's why I've come here. There's some change about, if you know how to perceive it."
A slight fire genasi woman hops off the wagon and takes a look around. She wears black leather and carries a wooden shield. At her side, a small club fashioned like a torch seems to give off a soft glow.
"I am Krissa La Flamme, Druid of Everburning Flame. I came to answer a call from a vision. Perhaps you are meant to join me and fuel the fire."
Jin’s eyes widen at the sight of the genasi. “Ah, yes,” he says, bowing deeply. “You are genasi, no? I know of your people. I have also had a vision of change. Or rather destruction. All of the elements should be in balance, but, yes, I think we were meant to be together. All of us,” he says, taking in the entire group.

playing Jin Wei, human (Kara-tur) way of the Four Elements Monk in the Princes of the Apocalypse
The speaker is a towering Goliath, standing over seven feet tall, with slate grey skin and marble white eyes. He strides towards the party, one hand raised in greeting. Clad in simple, hard-wearing clothes, with only a sash tied at his waist for decoration, he looks as though he might have stepped straight off the deck of a ship - an impression that's only strengthened by the enormous cutlass he carries on his back.
"I am Bruin, a disciple of Valkur. His storm blew me here," he pauses, a smile twitching at the corners of his mouth "by a roundabout way, I suppose. It's a pleasure to meet you all."
The Goliath's voice has a subterranean rumble to it, so that the listeners can almost feel it as well as hear it, but his manner is easy and his smile unguarded. He looks around at the assembled company with undisguised delight.
"What an assembly! Can you doubt that the hand of fate,"he absently touches a gold amulet fixed to his sash, "or the divine has brought us together?"
(I can tell this is going to be fun. I enjoyed reading your inroductions. Chris, since you're playing a Shou human monk, maybe you could change the names of your weapons to the names that they'd use in east Asia. So tanto or shuangdao for shortsword and shuriken for dart. Same with you Bruin. You can change the name of your greatsword to cutlass o your character sheet.)
Gundren approaches the groups. Okay, yer all here. So, I just have this deliery of ore that needs to be taken to Red Larch in the Sumber Hills. My friend there will pay ya. Good luck, and may yer travels be smooth.
(Determine a marching order. Who's going to drive the wagon, then make a Perception check (in game log). I'll probably not be posting again until later because I need to vote today (first time!), and I'm also getting a college decision back today (fingers crossed), so I'm kinda busy. I also have to review later ahead in the Campaign because Wizards of the Coast did not make this easy to run.)
Current Character(s): Marcon Domine level 2 monk in Lost Mine of Phandelver
Current Campaigns: Icewind Dale: Rime Of the Frostmaiden, Princes of the Apocalypse
Four things I hate in D&D: People who think the tarasque is the most powerful (an empyrean or kraken can beat it), players trying to seduce bad guys (it's funny though), when a monster roles a NAT 20 (everyone hates that), rolling a NAT 1 (everyone hates that)
Current Campaign(s): Dungeons, Darkness, Drow, and Demons, an Out of the Abyss Adventure, Dungeon Delvers, a Dungeon of the Mad Mage Adventure, Jungle of Evil, a Tomb of Annihilation Adventure
At Gundren's approach, Bruin lets his question fall unanswered for the moment, and takes a few paces to the front of the wagon. It seems Bruin intends to lead the way.
"Of course, good Gundren. How will we know your friend when we arrive?"

Jin looks around, taking in the strange place he’s found himself. He marvels at the similarities but notes the differences. He muses that they have the same things in Faerun as they have in Kara-tur, but here it’s just a little bit different.

Derizyn will go last. He is prepared to cast any spells needed.

(That's what's confusing. The campaign starts at level one or 3. I'm having you start at level 3 because the Adventure Hook adventures are boring.)
