Aubreens blade comes whistling from it's scabbard, slashing upward the hilt catches Sephek under the chin as the blade slices viciously into his wrist keeping his hand from forming the ice knife. Thats how it was supposed to go, at least in Aubreens mind. The blade formed quicker than he anticipated, longer than he thought it would be; Sephek was faster than he expected.
Abondoning his sword, Aubreen lashes out desperately, a quick upward jab to Sepheks ribs. (Unarmed 12+5=17/ 4 damage)

"She will have no mercy on your soul", Sephek sneers as Aubreen collapses. He glares at Zenos for a moment, but does not seem to be impressed by the insult. He steps towards Sirius.
The sneer is short-lived, as there is a flash of warmth from the direction of where Perrin just dove behind a table and then the fire hits. The undead roars in pain, staggering back for a moment. His left hand shoots up to his face, covering it. A hiss of steam escapes the gap, but not before you see the partially melted frown, tugging skin downward.
"You WRETCHED CREATURE!", Sephek howls. His hand obscuring his face, he recklessly hurls the ice weapon at the kenku. Before it leaves his hands, it splits into two smaller projectiles.

Scrambling to his feet, Aubreen takes a deep breath, whispering a prayer to Torm (Bonus action second wind: Roll 1 +1 = 2). The tip of the long sword clears the scabbard with a snick, quickly dancing in a tight arc. Aubreen steps to position himself opposite Sirius, trying to keep him trapped, hopefully distracted by multiple foes.

Sirius braces for impact when Sephek turns to him but to his surprise the blade flies right past. Shielding his upper body Sirius then turns to help Aubreen up but he pops up with the help of Zenos instead. I was right, they do have magic. I wouldn't have thought someone like that would be in such a respectable town but we are living in some unusual times. Lets give them a hearty cheer of appreciation." Zenos attempts to lead the crowd in a hip hip hooray cheer.

"Wh- who or what was that? Some kind of monster?" one asks quietly. "Never seen anything like that."
Another inquires "Anyone hurt? Should I bring some bandages?"
Sirius steps out of the house and speaks addresses the people. "Yes, it was indeed a monster -- a wicked warlock of Auril. It was an undead abomination that murdered innocent people but that's all dealt with now, so there's nothing to worry about here. No need to involve the authorities." Sirius tries his best to show a reassuring smile, though it comes out a bit crooked because he's pretty shaken up from the combat. "I don't think there's anything too serious, but bandages certainly wouldn't do any harm."
Sirius turns back to his companions. "Anyone hurt?" Sirius catches the glint in the skull and his interest is piqued. He walks over to the skull, picks it up and inspects it.
