Neither of you can remember a time where the peaceful village of Meadowfen had fallen into such hard times. It wasn't just the lack of rainfall. What with the Scorched Groove expanding its ashy reaches across Humblewood, all sorts of strange occurrences have been happening. Fire-based creatures were prowling along the borders of Meadowfen. Forest fires were, Hanera forbid, starting to become common. Why, just a week ago, a plume of black smoke had blocked the sun! A few brave villagers of Meadowfen had gone to investigate, but none have come back. Things were looking dreary.
Cyral, Parsley, as residents of this village, describe your characters and what you're doing.

Just an author at the end of the day...
Forever healer syndrome. Affected characters: Lutz Winsor (changeling shepherd druid), in the Turn of the Fortune's Wheel Tyrin Othenos Aubrey (tiefling scout), in the War of the Burning Sky Trill "Tritone" Aeolian Aberystwyth (v. human wild magic sorcerer/bard), in Camp Half-Blood
CYRAL: (You can see a Scout Strig with some decent clothing, holding a mace on her right hand and a small shield on her left hand. With her brownish feather, you can see she could hide with ease in the forest and in her eyes you can see kindness and a sweet soul)
The round hedge can often be seen pottering about, his smiling face welcoming any that wish to say hello. Some kids mock him when he goes off into bushes and comes out talking to creepy creatures but it bothers him little. If there's a gathering, he enjoys being in the kitchen area helping to feed all and bring joy to them through their stomach.
Parsley: This Day and moment, is in the garden, trending the medicinal plants and herbs for cooking. Occasionally a weed is plucked from the dirt "Not a place for you..." And casts it into the grass.
As Cyral passes by, she notices Parsley in his garden. It's a small town, and most villagers know each other to some extent.

Parsley: "Not particularly, I was going to finish up here and then think about baking something, but my feet are tingling with too much energy." He looks down momentarily as he wiggles his toes. "So if you wouldn't mind some company, I'll join join you now?" He rubs his fingers and thumbs together to dust them off.

Just how long has it been since it last rained?
