"That should let us carry it around if you have room to carry it in there."
"Nikk, is there a way to prevent others from using the same magic to question these guys more?
[OoC: Hooo boy, this might be a job for Steel]
"There. Is, I. Think." The kenku doesn't meet the Barbarians' eyes, but there is a sense of unease around him as he says the next part: "Take. Their. Tongues. And. Jaws, and. Then. Burn. Them. To. Ash."
"Gruesome, but I can see how that would be effective. A little on the morally ambiguous side but better than a war with the guild. Pretty big step for a chance to deflect from us. If the party votes this is the best course, I can do it."
"Another idea could be to take the heads and stuff them at some creature. Didn't we come across another ooze the other day?"
[I'm not going to go on a list for googling how much a head weights, so you can just assume that all of them (including the bugbears) weight 5 pounds.]
OOC: I don't know the alignments of everyone and this seems like it could be a devisive thing so I don't want to force it on a Good alignment without a discussion. It seems a big move to make but one that could help our survival down the road.
The weight is pretty generous. I was estimating the weight of a human head at 5 pounds and a bugbear more at 12 pounds (figuring they would have a head about the size of a black bear). If this plan goes forward, I'll tie them in a blanket or two taken from the chambers and will carry them that way. I'll be encumbered but will drop the bag on it's head as soon as anything happens. My walking speed should drop to 30 feet (if using variant encumbrance rules) so I will be walking at the same pace as the group.
OOC: According to Jonathan Lipnicki as Ray Boyd in Jerry Maguire, a human head weighs eight pounds. :)
Canti pays no attention to the discussion about how to keep the guild members from being able to identify the group to anyone who comes around later. Instead, she works on sketching Jaya into her notebook.
"I wonder if whatever creature is in that sealed room could dispose of the bodies for us? It was something that sounded like it was squishing around, maybe an ooze like the one we fought before? We could pile up the bodies, open the door, then run around the hallway and come back to the room from another door and see if anything of value is in there. ArdneK, have you investigated these doors with the runes on them, do you know what may lie behind them?"
[OOC: I'll assume ArdneK only knows what you all do unless Preyfire wants to add something for the sake of the story]
"I do not know what's behind those doors, though I did hear the same sounds. If you think they are oozes, that could be an efficient way to ... dispose of the evidence" he'll say.
The kenku nods slightly, though something still bothers him. "Do. We. Know. What. Makes. These. Creatures. So. Special. That. They. Need. To be. Locked. In a. Room. Like. That?"
"Could be that Shunn was not aware of it either or it was something they knew to leave alone. Let's checkout the doorway and see if we can find a clue. Maybe if we spend some time examining it, something may occur to someone. Nikk, Canti, and Rico are all pretty smart. If we do try this route to deal with the bodies, all of you need to be on the other side of the room and I can climb up the wall and across the ceiling to come join you."
Meanwhile, as the conversation is going on Pisgah is gathering a couple of blankets from the cots to make an improvised bag of beheading, should the group decide to take the heads with us on a road trip.
Before we move out, ArdneK tells you all how excited he is to be with you and what great things we will accomplish. He's very charismatic and well spoken.
"I think that there are at least three doors that lead to this room with the sloshy thing. The first is here. The second is around the corner in an alcove. I think that the third door is in room where we picked up Midna's footprints. I am guessing that there may be a fourth door down the hallway that the thug ArdneK helped stop was heading toward. What if we see if door #1 has the same markings as the door we haven't checked yet? If it does, then we can pile up the bodies here in this hallway, most of our party can go to the door on the south side, and maybe ArdneK will help me open this door here. He can unlock the door and take of running to join you. I will give him some time to get down the hallway. I can lean one of these bugbear bodies against the unlocked door then open it and climb up the wall to stay away from whatever is on the other side. If it is something really nasty that doesn't stop for the bodies we leave it, I will run along the ceiling and yell for you guys to run. Easy peasy!"

Nikk simply replies, "Whole. Heads. Mean. More. Weight. To. Carry. Do. You. Volunteer?"
"Yes, if we think this is a good strategy, I can carry them until we find an opportune time to 'dispose' of them."

Ardnek has no qualms with your plan. He generally favors anything that keeps him alive.

OOC: Rico is LG, but she still doesn't have any objection to taking the heads with us for while.

Perhaps it's nothing...

Everyone gets 9 temp HPs!
OOC: We did get a long rest, right?
Yep, Spoke to the dead, then a long rest, then Inspiring Leader.
Now, off to the ooze sounds room?

[Door #1, #2 and #3 do indeed all have the same markings.]
Before our next crazy plan kicks off, does Shunn or either of his blades have any distinctive marks that could prove his identity?
INV 4.....NOPE! Nothing special buy his head
